I’m so glad I found your video ! I’m from Montreal too and I’ve been researching hard core for the past 3 days because I want to go work in Austin or somewhere else in Texas/Florida. 😱 I’m about to watch your other videos. 🙈😄
wow, I'm relieved to watch this video :) I have a few questions: What should I ask my employer to include in my TN visa package/ petition? Because I've already told them I don't need your assistant and its all taken care by myself. Also, my job title is not exactly whats listed under the list of approved NAFTA jobs. And finally, how did you answer for how long are you planning to stay in the US? did you have any proof ?
hey Anthony, may I ask how do you find a job that employer willing to sponsor a TN? i got couple interviews from Detroit, and when they hear I need TN, never heard from them again despite I told them basically all i need a offer letter. I am wondering if only the big names in tech sector like FANG may consider, else employer won't even bother. may i ask how you land your job at Austin, is it a high pay tech job?
Hello Anthony, thanks for sharing - I have a question! when your company's lawyer set up the TN letter, was it a wet signature? like does it have to be an "original" copy
Hey man, thanks for sharing your experienced. I just have a couple questions. Is there an age limit to apply for this visa and can I get a visa for hotel manager just with a post secondary diploma and no managerial experience? Ever heard of anybody that did manage to get it and how they did it? Thank you.
this was so helpful!! but i wonder, what if you hadn’t gotten it for some reason? i’ve heard they defer people for no reason sometimes, and i’m planning to apply for a visa but i don’t want to have all my travel/accommodations planned out, just to be denied. it worries me! but this video is super inspiring
It's very unlikely that you would be rejected if you had all the necessary documents and don't say something you're not supposed to in the interview. But had I gotten rejected, I probably would have been able to travel as a visitor. In terms of work authorization, you would just need to try again but you would lose money on the travel.
Hey, thank you for your video, it is very helpful! I would like to you, Did you apply for the job or someone approach you? If they did approach you, how was it?
How long is this process from beginning to end? I feel like employers will not want to got through all the paperwork and the time it takes to get it :(
You’re right that most employers don’t want to wait or go through the process. It’s an extremely difficult thing to actually achieve, and even after achieving it, it’s only temporary. It’s much easier if you’re going as a migrant, don’t speak English, are uneducated, and don’t know anything about the country. You’ll be approved immediately and it’s permanent.
Your entry needs to be within a week of your start date. I don't think you'd be able to get through security without a boarding pass. You'd probably have an easier time at a land border. I would just call your port of entry to see what they think
Hey man, luckily I found this video. I am from montreal and moving to Alabama next week. Is it possible to get the TN visa first and then book the flight and travel? I saw your comment, without ticket I cannot pass thru the security. Should I try for land border crossing ? Do you have any suggestions on which port of entry for land border crossing ?
What a journey! And it’s only the beginning!! Glad Austin is keeping you warm 😌
So nice to see you made it to Austin :)

I applied for the job on my own
Thank you so much
I am wondering - would a college diploma fall under the category of approved education to be approved for TN visa rather than a degree?
You need a minimum of a bachelor degree or a few years of experience in the TN visa occupation you’re applying for.
Hey Anthony for someone with a political science degree which profession would fit best in the NAFTA list for a TN visa
Hey Anthony, so what do you tell them for the term of stay since the visa is only for a couple years?
I applied for the maximum length of stay on a TN visa which is 3 years. So that’s what I told them.
Hi, do you know if the offer letter needs to explicitly state an end date of your employment?
It does not
I have a degree in electronics and communication Engineering. Would I eligible under computer engineer profession as it’s related field.

Hi. Can I go to airport without having a ticket or land border? just to get my TN visa approval and come back to Toronto and fly next week?
