God damn Manchester by the sea... Impeccable, truly some of the best acting I have ever seen period. Words cannot describe how much I love this movie.
Fantastic all around.. Loved seeing Lucas Hedges getting nominated.
best movie of 2016

+Shahzaib Anjum I feel you could be right, but I still preferred the actual story arc of moonlight
best scene in the film imo
That moment in Manchester By The Sea was truly heart wrenching. After slowly coming to understand his ambivalence to that town, it was painful.
Wasn't a dry eye in the cinema...
yes, thanks, please check out my reply above to Icarusre comment (too tired to rewrite it lol)
Michelle Williams
Such an underated actress
Michelle is getting her Oscar soon for speilbergs movie. I assure u
@@beardedvillainD lol, that’ll be a sham win if she does. Haven’t see all of the contenders, but of the three I have (Blanchett, Williams, and Yeoh), she’s most definitely the least deserving this year.
Manchester by the Sea is kind of movie where the older you get, the higher your emotions will get with it.
The first one is so good, it's so rare to see such realistic interactions on film, unfinished sentences and the body language and all, not just line after line with perfect delivery.
Michelle Williams and Casey Affleck are unstoppable.
Casey Affleck is a better actor than BEN, i will always say it
Well the Oscar speaks for itself.
Yeah and so good to see those rare and excellent actors. Michelle and Casey giving some truthfully emotions here
Not even seen the movie an I’m heartbroken
Michelle Williams deserves SO much more credit. She excels at everything.
so young and already several oscar nominations, Broadway Tony award nominations, and many others, including many film critic circle awards, mega , huge talent
Yes!
Michael Shannon is so dammed underrated.
Anyone know the name of the song playing over the foxcatcher and 99 homes scene?
I know right? Shelter, nocturnal animals, man of steel, even that short scene in revolutionary road just proves how brilliant he is.
@@octane7774 "I'm glad i'm not that baby"
Do you know what underrated means? Do any of you? Michael Shannon is a well know actor appreciated greatly by all his peers and fans . He is also is a prolific and much used actor. I'm so tired of dumb people on UA-cam spouting off about something that they know nothing about. God you are an idiot. Did you see someone else use the term " underrated " and thought " yeah good word... I'll use that without locking it up"
brian milligan you proved our point. Admired by his fans, but not by the majority of movie fans out there. He has a decent following but not one large enough to support his acting caliber. He gets surpassed by the bigger names out there and left out of so many conversations when it comes to great actors.
Manchester by the Sea OMG what a heartbreaking movie, Casey Affleck is unstoppable
Theo Cazelles that’s what the ladies say
To me Michelle was the Queen of that scene
@@mirdja83 she was.
Val Kilmer should've at least been nominated for an Oscar...the baddest role any actor would love to have
Maherhala Ali is just.. impeccable. Give that wonderful man all the awards.
He’s in House of Cards too!
Biringvad His performance was pretty shit, but that’s only because the movie was shit.
@@BubblyJubbly yeahhh.. Remi Danton.
Michael Shannon is one of the best actors out there. His acting in Take Shelter was amazing
In Manchester by the Sea when Randi says "You can't just die!" It really makes me well up. Going through depression myself i understand the feelings family members go through when your ready to end your life. This movie connects to it very well, very well acted.
Same here I knew what she meant because I feel the way he does
I love you so much for putting Val Kilmer's performance from Tombstone on here! It was one of my biggest inspirations that lead me to acting.
I'll be your huckleberry T_T that was by far my favorite Val Kilmer performance
Hawkeye Trickshot Kilmer in Tombstone was one of the best performances in a western ever!
Hawkeye Trickshot same
Manchester by the Sea and Moonlight had some of the strongest performances, by (almost) all of the cast member, in recent history. Mahershala Ali, Naomi Harris, the three actors who played Chiron, Casey Affleck, Michelle Williams, Lucas Hedges: they all were outstanding!
2016 has especially brought out some spectacular performances from actors/actresses all around! Definitely a golden year for film :)
But Emma Stone won for La La Land.
Hugo Weaving in Hacksaw Ridge stunned me. That scene at the dinner table
Pedro Ferreira Jorge
That lip tremble.
@@_Cato_ Horrifying.
Manchester By the Sea ripped my heart out like nothing else
The scene in Manchester By The Sea literally breaks me to pieces
casey is fantastic so emotional, micheal shannon is magnific in nocturnal animals
michael never fail to delivers
Durba you mean 99 houses?
You have an incredible taste in movies.
How Val Kilmer did not win that year was criminal.
He wasn’t even nominated. Then again, he was competing with the likes of Anthony Hopkins Tom Hank’s and DDL, all stellar performances
Manchester by the sea. What a film. A story that melts any heart. I only watched it after seeing this clip so thank you!
Basically every scene from Manchester by the sea could be here
She is moving on and he can’t. Really beautiful shit right there.
I don't think there's anything more heavier to carry than guilt.
mahershala in moonlight, phenomenal! loved dev in lion as well.
overrated film and he didnt deserved the oscar
Luis Berg get the fuck over it
hahah go pray for vegas instead
Luis That’s true
@@Luis-de7lf The bitterness.
Michelle Williams is SO GOOD and she was so fucking good in Manchester by the Sea
holy shit michael shannon is on another planet of talent...im a huge fan of his work.... the film take shelter with him and jessica chastain is fantastic
Tombstone, heartbraking. When that tear falls, he chokes up, saying to his friend to live. Live for him.
Blue is The Warmest Colour is an amazing piece of cinema. It is the only movie I can think of (off the top of my head) that represents love in the most truthful way ever. Manchester by The Sea was also brilliant, that house fire scene tore me to shreds with tears my god! Thank you for posting all of these compilations, I frequently find myself rewatching them over and over again.
Blue is the Warmest Colour is hot garbage. One of the worst lesbian movie I ever saw. Even among lesbians and gay people it is considered shit.
Ulquiorra Schiffer1
It has mostly favorable reviews, within the range of 79-90%. This seems like some thinly veiled homophobia.
@@ulquiorraschiffer1956 As one of the gays.......it's a well done movie about something that quite often happens to us, but it's still feels very odd as it's clearly made by a straight man. But the OPs statement about the honesty of love in the movie is absolutely true.
I just watched it for the nekkid lesbian scenes.
Michael Shannon really moves me with all of his performances. Even in small roles like Machine Gun Preacher.
Patrick Todd
have you ever seen the movie with Michael Shannon called The Iceman where he plays Richard Kuklinski one of the most ruthless mob enforcers in the history of the mob they call them the Iceman because he used to put the dead bodies in the freezer so the authorities would not have any idea of what the time of death was
And when he was Seth Rogen’s drug dealer.
Anyone know the name of the song playing over the foxcatcher and 99 homes scene?
Thx for all of these compilations, it's turned me onto a lot of movies I haven't heard about.
Dude this is great. Really great. Thanks for giving this moment.
Love.
I've never seen Manchester By The Sea. That scene just made me cry...wow
Hope you've seen it since, masterclass
Thanks a lot guys for 10k subscribers! I will try to upload videos more frequently.
sitiosanguinem just so you know this videos blocked in the UK due to copyright
I know, can't do anything about it, sorry :/
Dude, thoroughly enjoyed your videos and get some great suggestions of what to watch from them. Keep up the good work.
sitiosanguinem please continue uploading
Enjoyed watching your uploads, shame there is no Vincent Cassell ( as yet)
Val Kilmer performance was easy a worth of Oscar best supporting actor he was spectacular in that role
Micheal Shannon wow, what an incredible actor!!!
Michael Shannon in 99 homes was fucking incredible. I had to remind myself he's just acting, because I hated him all the way from the 1st minute.
I couldn't see this video immediately when you released it because I hadn't seen Manchester By The Sea yet and didn't want to spoil myself. I've seen it this evening and was absolutely stunned. Casey Affleck with one of the greatest performances that I've ever seen, no joke. He was sooo good, loved the scene you've chosen. Also liked the scene from Foxcatcher. I used it in one of my videos, too. Ruffalo was incredible in that movie (just as the rest of the cast). Great video! I'm always happy when I get notified that you uploaded something, keep it up!
I freaking love moonlight.
I find it easy to work out to these compilations. Love em and keep it up!
I couldn't agree more with the Manchester by the Sea scene. I literally cried. The two of them just complimented each other 's performance.
Here are some of my favourite actings of all time.
I just enjoy watching long conversation between two actors that put weight to the scenes.
Film:
Ingluourious Basterds. Hans Landa inspection on the house. The neat conversation he had with the host until he called his bluff. Classic.
Kill Bill 2.
1. The conversation between Beatrix and the pimp who raised Bill. It was an overall relax conversation with a little hint of tense.
2. When Bill was telling the concept of death to BB while making sandwiches. Brilliant.
TV:
Breaking Bad. The scene when Skylar yelled shut ups many times at her car wash office. Or just about any scenes between her and Walter on the later episodes. The realest fictional couple fights/struggles.
Game of Thrones.
1. Any scene between Cersei and Tyrion at Kings Landing. They make me believe how possible it is to hate ones siblings so much.
2. Walder Freys' speech at high table at the Twins. I aspire to give such fluent speech like that if ever im a boss.
Big Little Lies. Nicole Kidman authentic performance during the meeting with the therapist. I felt the character 's struggle to hold the conversation.
All in all im very appreciative towards long talks by actors seeing their facial expressions and body movements while delivering the lines.
How do you “literally” cry?? Learn proper English twat
👍👍
Sacrilege that V. Kilmer
didn't get an Oscar for
Doc"!
Awesome Compilation. Please upload more acting videos. This is really a profound motivation for actors.
thank you very much for everything you upload in to your channel ! mostly of all , the best acting scenes ! thank you !!!
Thanks for always being there 'Doc
Thank you for giving Manchester by the Sea the attention it deserves!
Finally been able to watch this!!! UA-cam kept saying it was blocked. Another great video my friend, I have loved every single one of your videos ever. Can't wait for the next one!

The Manchester By the Sea scene is brutal..... great acting
Great video. Please keep on making more
Thank you! I've been excited for this since your last best acting compilation
I always look forward to these videos. And as an actor I must say you have great taste in acting. Thanks you! Don't ever stop!!
Impossible to see Manchester by the Sea on internet ,but I felt like I had to see this so I bough the DVD. And it was definitly worth it. ...
Why impossible. Dwatchmovies and vpn= every movie
These are great as usual
my heart was broken it's always going to be broken
I didn't even take a breath during that Manchester scene - epic
Mind blowing..How great Casey Affleck act in Manchester by the sea
Where is Michelle Williams' Oscar
She's totally robbed. Stone won for a wrong movie.
Wilson Wijaya What an ignorance. There's from two different categories. Michelle Williams was nominated for "best supporting actress" and Emma Stone for "best actress" , Viola Davis won the best supporting actress, and Emma Stone the best actress, and they absolutely deserve it more than Michelle who compare for 10 minutes, so shut up.
selfrepair Not hating on her. But her role in Manchester By The Sea is lack of expression. But, Casey Affleck did a good job, excellent
@@devitahardijanto1171 Michelle Williams face never changes in any movie
@@xarachne8473 See her in "Shame"
Your videos are like heroine to me. Please make more...
Wow that ending of Tombstone really gets me every time, even since I was a little kid, there is something about the way he plays Doc Holiday so truly indescribably well.
you are back !! nice
u do some class videos m8 keep smashing it
Omg that first one hit me so deep that one wow that im at such a lose for words, all of these are so amazing
That scene from Manchester by the sea, what emotion.
I just love how you have a wide variety of movies.
Manchester by the sea is one of if not the most beautiful and heartbreaking film ever to grace our screens the first time I watched it was at home alone at like 3 in the morning because I was trying to stay up so I could sleep during the day and work the night for work
It’s 2h and 17 minutes long
It took me nearly 3h and 30 minutes o watch it because I had to pause and allow myself to cry and breakdown before moving on to the next scene……
Thanks for including foxcatcher
Manchester by the sea. It surely does bring the sea out of your eyes.
I saw the clip here and didn't know what they were talking about and the next day watched movie for the first and that scene hit deep.
Val Kilmer should have been nominated for an Oscar.
Im your huckleberry
He should have won it. One of the most memorable performances, period.
Part VII? Great video
YES! I've been waiting for so long for another video lol
thank you
Funny, I was about to ask for a Val Kilmer performance and baam.. Thank you.
I had a lot of bad shit happen to me 2015-16 with no good things and it crushed my spirit so watching Manchester by the sea resonated with me because I was empty just like him for a long time
I will be seeing 99 Homes soon! The main characters description of what America really is, nails it!
That scene with Mahershala Ali was nothing short of amazing.
Thanks for the list of movies+characters really useful
Michelle & Casey,IN top 10 scene of ALL TIME!!!
I have to watch Manchester by the Sea again, because it was too much to digest; just... ugh! But it was a beautifully made movie and deserves another round.
its so strange how you're interpretation of a scene can shift and change the more you watch them. that moonlight scene didn't seem too significant. now however, it cuts so deep with me, truly profound
ye that man by the sea scene is one of the best scenes out there if you ask me.. its so honest, true, powerful and raw it just grabs your attention and drops all the burden right on your shoulders.. you can see their situation and you can feel it to
Mahershala Ali is just awesome
What about Leonardo Di Caprio in his first film, "What's Eating Gilbert Grape"? I didn't even recognize him in that, his acting was like his mask!
That's so clearly him
But then they should put all scenes where hes acting in that movie and that would take way too long lmao
Agree!
Love your compilations! Might i recommend a scene between Zoe Saldana and Christian Bale in the film Out of the Furnace, also a great performance by Casey Affleck!
casey afflec is surprisingly great i never expected that out of him until i saw Manchester by the sea, what a great fucking movie
Sure, thanks
Nothing beats Neil Breen's acting
Nate Shanks NOTHING!!! I can’t believe you committed suicide!!!
michelle williams delivered a maginificent performance as if she was having a last conversation with heath ledger
It would be cool if you could do a whole video dedicated to female performances, love your videos, keep it up!
I like these compilations because they're so much more real than real life
Concentrated reality :)
Manchester by the sea, never seen the movie and gotta say that this scene is very moving, but also the original scene had no music in it and I think adding music is always good for scenes like this one. still a superb acting of both actors
Michelle Williams Michael Shannon dammed underrated.
Michael shannon's acting is highly underrated, I don't care how many times this word is thrown around, on this occasion I used it perfectly.
Manchester by the Sea - Breaks my heart every time I see it
When she says “you can’t just die” it gets me every time
THERE'S NOTHING THERE
glad i just found this channel great stuff! i wonder if somewhere you have the clip of charlize theron in monster crying at the bus station w christina ricci
ye this scene in manchester is just the best few minutes of acting ever captured in modern history! powerful and heartbreaking. some of my other favourites are "no, you're the drug dealer" scene in dallas buyers club, and edward norton in american history x the whole performance, which is why its my all time favourite movie!
Seanachie's Court i think Affleck‘s Police Station scene in Manchester is even greater.
@@Maedchen001 ye its also good, this performance in general was just simply awsome :)
Interstellar has some good scenes, HER, Stanley Kubrick movies, shawshank, and shindlers list as well.
DUUUUUUUUDE! first scene got me good
You could put in any Casey Affleck scene from manchester by the sea in here and call it a day. A truly masterful performance.
Yes, Michelle Williams as well
