- A sixth compilation of some of the best acting scenes and/or performances of all time. I know there are many missing. It is just a glimpse. Also, it is a subjective list, I don't claim it to be objectively correct, if there's such a thing.

Why, from someone who obviously respects and admires cinema, would you add your own idea of an appropriate soundtrack..?
The final scene in the Revenant with DiCaprio is truly something. He doesn’t even need to say anything, but the emotion shown in his face, amazing
reminds me of Marlon Brando "last tango in Paris"...the final scene.
It reminded me of the closing shot from Memories of Murder, by Bong Joon Ho
Great performance but why was it scripted for him to look at the camera i didn't get it.
hes a real diamond in the acting ... there is only a few people like Smith or Pitt who can actualy gives everything to the role..
he had enough even after great performance in wolf of the wall street they didnt give him oscar, he was saying to them just give me my goddamn oscar already!!!
Ben Mendelsohn is one of our most underappericiated actors out there.. He's so good!
RIGHT!!!!!! Can't wait to see him in Rogue One
+HrTjernobyl after being a natural talent in australia for so many years, really great to see him creating a name for himself
He was in ten minutes of Place Beyond the Pines, which is a two and a half hour film, and he almost walked away with the whole thing.
Jennyfisch He was great but I think Bradley Cooper gave the best performance in the movie
go watch him in bloodline(TV show ) he was so fucking great
Every time I see Philip Seymour Hoffman my heart breaks a little. He was SO good. Such a loss for film that he is no longer with us.
Same. Absolutely brilliant. He was on his way to a top 5 actor of all time. Easily. Already talented as anyone who's ever acted imo
How is he so good? I don’t see it. But I definitley see Daniel Day Lewis being a top 5 actor. Point me to some movies of his
@@cedenoanthony45 The Master (one of my favourite films), Owning Mahowny, God's Pocket, Capote, Doubt, Moneyball, The Talented Mr. Ripley, The Ides of March, Love Liza, The Savages, Flawless, Synecdoche New York, Punch-Drunk Love, The Big Lebowski, Magnolia, Before the Devil Knows You're Dead, A Most-Wanted Man, Scent of a Woman, Patch Adams, Twister, Charlie Wilson's War, Boogie Nights... I've seen all of these and he was brilliant in all of them, whether a bit part or lead. There are others he was in that I haven't seen. He is just about my favourite actor of his generation, and I was so sad he died, much too soon.
Something that really bothers me is how there are some actors out there who have so much potential and are just straight up gifted, but they play in really shit movies and can’t display their skills.
Just out of curiosity, what actors do you have in mind?
Adam Sandler, Robert De Niro
@@ambrosaur3646
De Niro has been in some of the best movies of all time. Bad example.
Nic Cage, Kristen Stewart
killerX 36 anther one is travis fimmel. His performance in vikings is one of the best I have ever seen.
Daniel Day-Lewis should be the first 10 compilations alone. The greatest actor to ever live; a close second, Marlon Brando.
DDL is 🐐
Ight... your funny xD
DDL
BRANDO
DENIRO
And imo PSH was on his way
@@el34glo59who is PSH?
@@cedenoanthony45 Phillip Seymour Hoffman
Peter Dinklage was great in that scene. One of the greatest scenes I'v seen, one of the best scenes in the show
They never should have tried to make him into the good guy after that season.
@@darj617 agree
@@darj617 😍
Basil Ganglia Yes he was in the first half of the show. In the second half, the writing ruined his character, but the acting was still pretty solid.
John Kerr in the final two seasons, the writing ruined all the characters.
Love to see The Place Beyond The Pines in here, such a beautiful film. One of my favourites ever
It's one of them movies no one's seen but it's so good, it's like the movie and it's sequel , basically it's a take on what we do when we realise it's not about us rather it's about our children
anyone knows the music playing in The Place beyond the Pines?
Billy Studholme the specific scene they used in this video leaves me a wreck every time
@@mikem4314 the music is a soundtrack named "Snow Angel "
It is an absolute masterpiece!
There Will Be Blood has been my favorite movie for years. At first all the subtle ferocity and the ballistic ending baffled me. But I was intrigued to watch it multiple times afterwards and I have so much appreciation for PTA's cinematography, the amazing soundtrack and, of course, DDL's legendary acting skills.
Jack Lemon in Glengarry Glenross... is my favourite acting performance ever. Makes me feel so uncomfortable...yet it's so compelling to watch. Genius!
Pacino stole that Movie..deservedly
The Sopranos truly is the greatest drama ever made, RIP James Gandolfini
Daniel day Lewis is perhaps one of the best actors of all time I loved his role in gangs of New York and the crucible
Better than Brando. Best actor in My lifetime and I'm 74
He's the best actor of all time he's unique actor so he's not one of but he's the 🐐🙌😊
Man, Philip Seymour Hoffman my favorite actor... he's missed..
Bro, Love Liza killed me.
Daniel Day Lewis is the only actor alive who can change his facial appearance and dialect to portray a character in a movie role then any actor alive today !
Gary Oldman is THE man.
I just wished he still did "gritty" roles.
He is an absolute beast.
But excellent reactions of Sean Penn also
Gary Theman
yeah best actor ever he is super versatile from dracula, btaman and 5th element lol they are massively different characters
I’ll always remember the rage in Gandolfinis face when Tony was about to punch Carmela. That guy was incredible.
That scene really hurt gandolfini like he cried after it, such a good man
11:03 You can feel the tension...
Breaking Bad is the best show of all time
Such an underrated actor.
The best actors can act without a face..
Well when someone stares at you from your screen , then it is obvious for the viewer to be in tension more than the character
i Still Get Chills from that scene of gus walking into the hospital. Such a legendary show
1min20. Thoses eyes from Dicaprio. I rarely felt so much pain and compassion for an other human in a movie. Incredible.
Daniel Day Lewwis is superb. Probably one of the best actors alive. What is the name of the song at the beginning?
Nils Frahm - Corn
+sitiosanguinem thanks
you have great taste in everything
With the greatest of respect to all actors. Daniel Day Lewis is in a class of his own.
So little comments about James Gandolfini's and Edie Falco's performances, when they were easily among some of the best here.
i have always said to my friends gandolfini VERY underrated
@@trevorbowie1704 Gandolfini's acting was exceptional.
I’ve watched over an hour of OP’s best acting videos and there has been some exceptional scenes but James Gandolfini’s scene here at 10mins is the only time I had to rewind and rewatch. a very honorable mention to Edie falco in this scene as well.
My opinion is Regardless of his passing, so few have ever completely owned a character as well as he did.. granted, he had more screen time to do it than any film actor. Truly a professional
Among professionals
Gary Oldman was truly amazing in "State of Grace". And Jack Lemmon in "Glengarry Glen Ross"...man, not enough words to describe how good he was in that movie.
Ben Mendelsohn needs more recognition. He's soooooo good.
i've watched all of your best acting videos. you have a good eye for the cinematic experience. i found that in the previous videos you focused a lot on very dramatic emotional outbursts like crying and anger. i really like how you have decided to do something a little different this time and show subtle emotions. hope you keep making videos!
+tiberiius Thanks for noticing. I wish all the people would understand that it's an ongoing series and wouldn't expect everything (different kinds of acting and also all the performances) in one or two videos.
@@sitiosanguinem i wouldnt worry about people mate, cant please everyone but these vids certainly please me
I’m glad Ben Mendelsohn is getting recognition in this. He’s highly underrated.
Ben Mendelsohn is completely underrated
DiCaprio is the best actor around. The only actor who has no exposition and he shows more with his eyes than the rest can with reems of Dialogue.
Stewart Kee...a lot of actors can do that to be honest..
Christian bale is his Master.
Finally! A new one.I couldn't wait any longer
In my opinion Bryan Cranston deserves a spot in the next compliation for his character in Breaking Bad. Also, Jacob Trembley deserves to be mentioned, his acting skills are quite impressive, despite the young age. Great video!
brunacinotti Bryan Cranston is a class actor
Scene with Tremblay leaving the room in 2015's Room should've been there
I can't get enough of these!
Thank you thank you for putting Gary Oldman!!!!!!! He is the BEST actor of all time period. GARY OLDMAN RULES ALL!🏆❤️
I love these compilations, you have such a good eye for particularly stunning pieces of cinema as well as acting, please never stop making these. Within seconds of pressing play my hair was standing on end.
The Revenant ending is my favourite 4th wall break. That stare is both mesmerizing and haunting.
Daniel and Leo DiCaprio nailed every movie they made
Brilliant video again, The Place beyond the Pines clips was fantastic.
Love the fact that you love Paul Thomas Anderson's movies! Really unique, in every aspects!
Moozy Mathers my favorite is most definitely magnolia
So glad the place beyond the pines scene was in here. The best scene from that whole movie, so sad. Great video as always
A place beyond the pines...finally someone else sees how amazing that scene and lines were. Perfection..."you're calling him back."
Of the series, I believe this part has the most technically gifted actors and best delivery!
That tyrion scene gives me goosebumps every.single.time
Thank you for including Jean-Louis Trintignant's and Emanuelle Riva's performances from "Amour". Astonishing acting.
Thank you so much for posting these videos. I watch them on a regular basis because it's the ultimate collection of inspirational performances.
Don't stop what you're doing. You have no idea how much this means to me.
Gandolfini is so underrated it’s crazy.
Daniel Day Lewis in My Left Foot left me wanting more of his work for the rest of my life ☝🏾
Man, i love Gandolfini. The Sopranos and The Wire both them are masterpieces.
Tom hardy in the revenant was fucking incredible, better than leo, i'm sorry but man hardy is amazing in everything
Be sorry you fucking idiot. DiCaprio just showed that he can tell a lot more without any dialogue than Hardy could with all the exposition in the world. You have no clue what real acting is. Hardy is artificial, DiCaprio is real.
said the same thing ... he was unrecognizable! he blew me away
Stewart Kee...The only fucking idiot here is you..
Tom Hardy's Performance in Bronson is better than every single performance dicaprio ever did...even better than eating gilbert grape and Django..
Plus, add Locke, Warrior, The Revenant, Fury Road etc then you have a guy could play subtle and powerful performances with absolute class..
Hardy >>> Dicaprio
nah
VB MUTT fury road is complete shit
Phillip Seymour Hoffman left us too soon. We need more actors like him.
James McAvoy, 'Filth'
agree
Split
Breaking Bad,
The casting,
The performances.
It’s the best of all time
Ben Mendelsohn has to be among the most underrated actors of his generation. He’s brilliant in everything I’ve seen him in.
Robert de Niro, Leonardo DiCaprio, Daniel Day Lewis, Javier Bardem, Christopher Waltz.. always my TOP..
Such a big Waltz fan you’ve got his first name wrong
You're on fire with these compilations, i enjoy them very much!
The choice of music is better than the original scores most the time! Bravo!
I really like these videos man, you do a great job picking the scenes and the background music is sublime. Also, you upload them with short time-marge, which means you really like doing this. Congratulations I hope you grow in youtube ;D
+Dawndo Thanks a lot, I hope so too ;)
There's that amazing scene with Ben Mendelsohn and Sam Shepard in Bloodline. This made me think of that.
Yes there will be blood and place beyond the pines.. unreal the acting in them.. that sopranos scene was amazing too when i first seen it.
I think Kirsten Dunst when she played Claudia in "Interview With The Vampire" should be included
Beyond the pines was such a great film. Very underrated.
Peter Dinklage knocked that one out of the ball park!!!
11:13 THATS THE MUSIC FROM THE OPENING CREDITS OF DARK
you should do one just for TV. There are so many good shows with remarkable acting. Breaking Bad, Louie, Game of Thrones, Better Call Saul. Just a suggestion, great video as always!
The place beyond the pines is such a beautiful film. Keep it up with these videos! I watch them all the time.
I've been acting for 5 years, been self-educating longer - and I'm so grateful my first acting coach emphasized the power of non-verbals. More than half of performance doesn't have dialogue. Embrace the scene and feeling.
The place beyond the pines scene 7:49 must be one off the best cuts in movie history
Maybe my favorite ever. Chills everytime
That cut scene in The Place Beyond the Pines might be my favorite cut ever. Chills to this day. Such an underrated movie. Jesus what a scene
Oh, Peter, what a scene)))
BEN MENDELSOHN IS A DAMN GOOD ACTOR!
HANDS DOWN
i love the soundtrack of "the place beyond the pines"
i love these videos! i watch all of them so many times that i've memorized them... hahaha
i don't know if you take requests but i'd love to watch:
-marion cotillard in la vie en rose
-hugh jackman in prisioners (the car scene please!!)
-leonardo dicaprio in django
- rooney mara in the girl with the dragon tattoo
-robert deniro in cape fear
-joaquin phoenix in her
thank you so much!
Peter Dinklage surprised me so much in that scene
I knew what scene from the Sopranos it was gonna be before I saw it. Edie and Jimmy were ELECTRIC together 😩😩
Agreed....big Gandolfini fan but Edie Falco was every bit as good in that series
Please don't stop making these!
Leo should've had an Oscar at 19 for Gilbert Grape, crazy it took so long
I love these compilations because they're so much more real than real life.
Never stop doing these .
Just great clips, music and narration free. Thanks 👍
Yes! love that you put in TV stuff as well. Sopranos and BB. that is one of my favorite Gus Fring parts.
Thanks. Really appreciate the work that’s gone into these ‘jewel’ compilations. You’re the best!
every time i see a Sopranos scene i wanna rewatch the entire Sopranos
Dude, great job with the Killing Them Softly. That film and Ben Mendelsohn are criminally underrated.
These need more of The Sopranos. The Wire?
Great video as always! That last scene from Breaking Bad absolutely killed it. Very underrated performance of Esposito. How did you get the footage for "The Revenant" though? It's a new movie, did you request it from the production company or what?
+TheJoker Oh, and I nearly forgot to mention that the music playing in the background in the first minutes of the video was magnificent. Very well chosen.
+TheJoker Thank you ;) I got the footage from youtube. I just searched for "The Revenant ending".
Clint Howard's turn as escaped convict in Seinfeld. Overlooked gem.
Ben Mendelsohn is spectacular.
I have to see The Place Beyond the Pines IMMEDIATELY.
Man, this video is great. Especially with all the ads every minute. Really completes the compilation.
Adblocker? Crybaby.
awesome videos! I can feel all these emotions and crying through the screen. WOW 🥺
The final few episodes of season 4 of Breaking Bad was some of the best writing/acting ever!!! LOVE Breaking Bad. :D
Where's Tommy Wiseau in The Room?
"I DID NAAAWT!
oh hi, Mark!"
Jack Lemmon in Glengarry, Glen Ross was incredible, especially this scene where transforms from a cocky salesman to a blithering loser…just a great scene.
Gustavo's last walk! Big thumbs up.
Alicia Vikander in "Danish Girl". Her acting is amazing.
8:29 Jack Lemmon is a legend
This goes on to show how a good act is so kuch about holding it up...Inside you. ... Gracefully.
I love this series of videos. Thank you so much for doing this.
Yes! Place Beyond the Pines!!! Thank you for putting that in!
SO GREAT as always!! though, the way you incorporated the music in the first two compilations was incredible
Ben Mendelsohn is maybe the most underrated actor we have today.
haha i LOVE how u have the hand scene from state of grace... underrated film
