I'm a Mexican-American guy and I do appreciate the fact that you guys try to speak Spanish. Many Americans do not and it drives us (Mexicans) crazy! Kudos!
We love Cabo too! We always find new places everytime we go. The Birria place was new to us even though they've been there for years! Thanks for watching!
That is awesome, hope you find some more tasty food on your summer trip! We just got back from Cabo and have a ton of tacos and other food stops to share!
You guys may be gringos but sure eat like Mexicans! Putting the broth on the taco, pro tip👍🏽👏🏽👍 I love how you guys literally eat anything and everything it’s great you guys are so down
wife and I are coming down on May 16 for two weeks. We love eating in town where the locals eat. We'll sure try and hit all your spots that you high lighted. Looked like fun. Thank you!
Loved this video! Are all these places easy to find and safe to venture to? We were considering booking a walking food tour on our trip but after seeing how cheap the prices are might be worth doing it on our own like you guys did! Haha. Would you recommend having pesos while visiting cabo?
We love venturing around Cabo looking for tacos and have always felt safe doing so, especially during the day. All of the places we went to in this video are along the same street, with exception to Gardenias, which you can Google. Definitely carry pesos if you're going to buy any street food or try taco shops. They don't take credit cards. They usually will accept dollars in Cabo but there will be an upcharge because they have to pay a fee to exchange dollars to pesos. Have fun on your trip!
But it tasted so good didn't it? We've had good luck with all of those locations and found that we get sick more often with the fancy restaurants. Sushi got us bad down there once.
Thanks for watching! It looks like he finally shows up on Google. It's called Elotes y enquites GUASAVE. It looks like the pin is correct on Google but he's in front of the Comex store on the corner of 20 de Noviembre and C. Jose Ma. Morelos y Pavon. It's the same street downtown as Tacos May (a few blocks further from the marina).
We are heading to Cabo in Aug and we adore trying new street food! What is the name of the street you were on? Trying to figure out the best way to retrace your steps...
Awesome! Google Tacos May Cabo and it will pop up on a map. The street names are funky down there. It's near the mall on the one way street going away from there (opposite the mall). That's the zone though.
Hi, happy to share, thanks for watching! Unfortunately what we ordered at those spots is pretty much all they serve. Gardenias has the best shrimp and fish tacos, and a good second choice is Tres Islas. Enjoy!
As soon as possible! We were down in October and are currently finishing up our new home. We'll try to make it down by the end of the year for sure. We miss Baja!
You guys are so wholesome! Thank you for putting this together. What was the drink you got on the side of the road after the Elote? Currently in town until Sunday
Thanks for watching! It was Champurrado. It's a hot chocolate based drink with corn flour in it. We found it for the first time on our last trip and love it. Enjoy your time down there. We can't wait to go back.
@@Powaup the elote guy is on the same street as Tacos May. If you walk from Tacos May to El Pollo De Oro you can't miss the Elote guy. He's only there in the evenings though, usually after 5 or 6. Order the Mixto for a combo of grilled and sweet corn!
hello . thinking of heading to Cabo with the wife and we mainly prefer these local spots over hotel restaurants. where is this area exactly ? Is it the marina ?? We Would like to plan our hotel stay based on more local restaurants 🙏 . Thank you
Hi and thank you for watching! The marina is pretty big but it's fairly close to the one side. You'll find the zone if you Google Tacos May Cabo. That's our #1 taco spot personally and a majority of the good stuff in the few blocks surrounding them. Good luck and let us know if you find any gems. We'll be back down soon!
Thanks for watching and the suggestion! We'll give it a try next time we're down there but it looks a little different than the inexpensive street food that we normally do (I can't get their menu to load but I'm guessing it's a little more expensive and touristy based off the marina location). No good taco left behind though!
I'm pretty sure there are currency exchange places at the airport, but the exchange rate will probably terrible. We've ways exchanged money at our hotel (they follow daily exchange rates), or in the case of when we were traveling in a van, we used our Charles schawb debit card to get cash at ATMs which doesn't charge international fees and refunds all ATM fees. Hope that helps!
I would suggest people exchange American dollars to pesos in the US before you travel to Cabo. These business will take advantage of you if you pay in American dollars . They will exchange the dollar for you at a higher rate .
Thanks for watching Enrique! You are correct that most businesses exchange at a worse rate than the bank rate. We always have pesos on hand, pay with a credit card, or get cash from ATMs with our Charles Schwab debit card (they refund transaction fees). Worst case........tacos cost a bit more but they are worth it!
Thanks for watching. They are from the same ice cream stand we were at earlier in the video. You should be able to find them at any La Michoacana shop. They usually have mango and passion fruit but I'd say mango is more traditional.
Would be helpful if after gardenas you were a little more clear on the names of the places and location. Except tamale guy everyone knows where he is. Otherwise good information
Thank you for watching! This is the name of the street that Google gives for Tacos May. Jose María Morelos S/N, Local 3, Centro It's not all on that street but all within walking distance.
Good question! We actually exchange money because you generally get a better price paying with pesos. The hotel we stayed at has a really good exchange rate and we also have a Charles Schwab debit card that reimburses ATM fees. We exchange some at the border on the way down too (lose a little with them).
I'm a Mexican-American guy and I do appreciate the fact that you guys try to speak Spanish.

We definitely need to learn more, but we try!
I love Cabo. So much positive energy. But there is alot I haven't seen. Really appreciate the street tour!
We love Cabo too! We always find new places everytime we go. The Birria place was new to us even though they've been there for years! Thanks for watching!
Cabo is great for fishing too.😊
True to the video title! I'm glad you guys didn't shy away from the street vendors, great video. I'll be there this June.
Thanks for watching, we love street food! Enjoy your trip in June!
Watching this as I plan my second trip to Cabo next summer. That Birria place was a staple when I was there! Soooo good and super affordable!

Great recommendations!

what an awesome life!! AMAZING! LIFE IS BEUTIFUL

love the energy. I subscribed :)
Thanks Ben! Great to have you and glad you found us!
Tacos gardenias are hands down the best fish and shrimp tacos in Cabo!
Agreed! We've tried quite a few and always end up going back to gardenias as the best!
Thank you for this video we will be out there in one month

greetings, did they accepts usd, or did you use pesos
Gardenias takes credit cards and probably US dollars, but everywhere else will require pesos. You usually get a better deal if you pay in pesos.
