I love Louie! I was privileged to meet and hear Mr. Armstrong in concert in Virginia Beach back in the mid 60's. As a young trumpet player just starting out what a thrill it was to hear him play. I will never forget it.🎺

Love how Pops always showcased his sidemen .....witness Arvil Shaw’s magnificent bass solo....and Billy Kyle’s stylish piano licks.....and of course the incomparable Trummy Young. Don’t know the clarinetist....but he has some wonderful chops too, as does the drummer.

It´s actually Tyree Glenn on trombone, an ex. Ellington band-member. Trummy Young left in 1962, I think.
