I have to agree, I never really thought about this level since the whole drama happened up until this video. My least favorite part about the final level was the fact that the end screen was REMOVED from the level entirely and replaced with some ugly image that doesn’t really fit the rest of the level. But I never thought this megacollab was 5 years old.

I honestly feel like this level kinda just didn’t need remade. It’s not like silent clubstep or Tartarus when it was considered impossible cause people just weren’t skilled enough yet, this level is humanly impossible. Taking that ending away just kinda strips this level of its identity.
I think the last wave should be nerfed to make it humanly impossible but way above the current skill of the community

I remember watching Dolphy stream playing this level, I'm not sure whether he dropped it or it was just handed to Xanii. The version Dolphy was verifying was probably the best difficulty one.
Kinda difficult to know when the host completely dissociated with the level and GD entirely
Zynvire gave the level to Xanii, but didn't tell Dolphy, who was still playing the level, and lied by saying he dropped it.
Zynvire just took the level from Dolphy without telling him anything. Then he gave silent circles to xanii

This level still holds a special place on my heart since this is one of the first upcoming top 1s (at the time) that I knew during the first few months of my GD career. I remember that I would sometimes watch Dolphy's streams and hoping he verifies the level live even though I don't understand Russian.
I'll admit, I was very disappointed when Zynvire butchered the endscreen (one if the best parts imo) and replaced it with an image of the Fortnite default skin or "Darphel". After Xanii nerfed the level and verified it, I just completely forgot the existence of this level until now.

I remember when me and Xinim made our own remakes of Silent Circles, my remake being called Silent Vortex (obviously referencing Bausha Vortex) and Xinim's remake called Cosmos Nox.
I knew mine wouldn't blow up because I was unpopular and pretty much unoriginal but at least Cosmo Nox did get attention due to Neiro's showcase of the level. Looking back at this remake made me recall all the hype I had since I wasn't gonna finish my own remake until I finally finished it in late 2023. :P

Honestly, even though i hate how SpaceUK hacked, i kinda wished he hacked this one to turn it into a much needed open verification
Cherryteam was going to make it's own version of Silent Circles (called Silent Circles Infinity) and also remake and rebalance this version (Silent Circles Mini). Unfortunately, SCI got cancelled (sad, because Culuc was in it), although i'm not sure about SCM.
Edit: Cherryteam's Silent Circles is actually not cancelled, they are just going to work on it after 2.2 releases

It's hard to think that Silent Circles, originally supposed to be harder than Sakupen Circles or Tartarus, is now out of the top 100 (Arctic Lights difficulty). It's astonishing how Xanii managed to nerf this level from harder than Sakupen Circles to easier than Bloodlust. And that happened when people had the skill levels to beat Slaughterhouse and Silent Clubstep (unnerfed), unlike Innards

I still remember the times when dolphy was the verifier. Watch his verification progress regularly and the level overall was just very interesting tm. Then there was just no progress and my attention shifted. When I looked for the level again after a bit I had found that xanii was the verifier and I have not heared about it again since it was verified. But I didn't know that it is not uploaded anymore. It is quite sad 'cause I just found it so interestingly made

I think the idea of silent circles being an normal extreme demon wasnt bad. If they made a superbuffed top 3 version, it would be matter of time when it stopped being a top 1 and even becoming top 20 and forgotten. If it was a playable version, everyone could play it.
The problem is in the name though. By saying “silent”, it implies silent(impossible) difficulty

Honestly, it doesn’t have to be top 1. If it’s a fun and enjoyable level that stays true to the original, than I think it’s fine. It doesn’t have to be well know, it just has to be a level that top players can enjoy and remember.
You don’t remake an impossible projected to be top 1 then nerf it to top 40, I dont care if its more accessible, that’s not how it works.
While that's true, it just seems wrong for a map called Silent Circles to be around Arctic Lights difficulty. And it doesn't even stay true to the original. The deco has no resemblance to the original and the most iconic part (the wave spam) has been removed.

I think the main problem is yeah the level is flashy but incredibly forgettable and generic, as soon as it got verified people just forgot about it.

You're wrong. Original Silent Circles was the Cyrillic one, not the toshey version.
Also called Silent circles because it was a collab between him and, you know, Sailent. The toshey version is just a "less stupidly difficult version" as the last spam actually has blue orbs and some parts are 2p dual. (And i guess he also nerfed some jumps at the start of the level)
Kinda sad how this fail just because the host got impatient on dolpy. Really epic remake

I'm gonna say that actively practicing og silent circles is pretty fun, and watching it is just as good. The remake is not interesting visually or gameplay-wise, it blended in with other maps to the point that I'd say the nerfs were just the nail in the coffin, simple as. Hell, even tropical thunder could be better remembered 😐

I'm really sad when I found out about this version of Silent Circles. Many years ago, I LOVED this level (yeah... maybe 'cause I had low level standards, but that's not the point!). I always wanted this to be possible one day. And when I found out about this, it was just hours before it was deleted from the servers. And after I saw what REALLY happened, I felt really sad. This is imo the biggest missed oportunity a Geometry Dash Top Level ever had. This and maybe Woodkid.
woodkid got a lot of deserved fame already, the fact that it wasnt rated made it mysterious. when i was a lot younger i thought woodkid was the hardest rated level lol, it was my childhood
