OMG I was at this show!!!! Absolutely incredible, life changing night for me. Front row middle mezzanine at the fabulous Fox theater ❤ I have never seen any footage from this concert until now. Thank you for sharing. Would be so cool if I could see my younger self in the crowd.
I had the pleasure of being there. Got a chance to throw a few hoops with Eddie before the show. We got to borrow seats in the Fox Club for the show on top of the 10th row orchestra pit seats we already had. Special parking out back for Fox Club right next to where the roadies had set up the traveling hoop for Eddie. I asked if I could 1 one 1 for a few minutes and he said come on over. I've led a charmed life at times and one time was definitely this night. So glad I found this. St. Louis really dropped the ball on booing the Frogs. I was really digging them but then again I'm a musician who appreciates all kinds of music.
Nah, he'd had them for several years at this point. Before Pearl Jam, when Eddie was trying to find his place in the music world, some buddies turned him onto and then later introduced him to the Frogs, because the buddies were fans of the Frogs. The Frogs weren't actually looking for anyone to join their band at that time, but they did let Eddie sing a few songs with them. That was the actual night he got the wings. Unfortunately, the recording of that performance was ruined because there was a really obnoxious hooker in attendance that night, standing right next to the cameraman, and she talked through the whole entire performance. Just non-stop talking about how much weed or cash equivalent she expects if she lets a john do her in the butt. (I know over the internet it sound like I'm joking or making up a funny story but no no this really happened) Once Eddie finally saw the footage he was really upset that he couldn't even really be heard in it and getting to perform with the Frogs was such a really special event in his mind. So years later while on tour, his friends got ahold of the Frogs again and they graciously obliged him in having a do-over. So in this clip they're actually reenacting the first performance they did together all over again, so that it could be re-recorded without that whore yammering on and ruining it. Funnily enough she was there again on this night, but they had security make her stand in the back since she isn't even a fan anyways. That's why, once Eddie flies away, Dennis Flemion says "For the people who kept their mouth shut, thank you" looking right at the camera... and then turns and has words for the hooker and one of her most frequent customers, both of whom had been forced to stand in the back during the performance. I was later told by the Flemion brothers that the customer with her that night was the actually the father of the customer she was talking to the first time the Frogs and Eddie performed together, and that she also met with the son later on that night. Eddie's father also attended the show and afterwards suspiciously disappeared as well. She probably had weed for days after this 2nd performance.
I'd like to hear him cover the entire song...glad someone else notice the wings..looks like the ones sitting on the amps at PJ concert... Thanks for posting!
Damn I thought I seen everything on the internet about Pearl Jam and then what do you know I don't know how I came across this I don't even know what it is but I know maybe on some shrooms or something anywho I shall continue
@@leesadleridge My fiance and I had 10th row orchestra pit a little to stage left and on top of that my fiance worked for and knew Bill Meritz so we got his Fox Club seating that night also. Got to shoot some hoops with Eddie before we went up into the Club for dinner as the Frogs were playing. Saw them and this from up there and the rest of the show from the floor. I'm so thankful someone recorded this. It's making my life to be able to relive it this morning.
Puedo escuchar Jeremy mil veces... y cada vez que la escucho... se me pone la piel de gallina... qué fuerza vocal de Eddie Vedder y qué fuerza lírica.... yeah... goosebumps!!!
I'm proud to this day that I was immensely enjoying them and not booing them. Then again, if the rest of the St. Louis fucks hadn't been trying to boo them off stage we would have never gotten this moment that lays burned in my memory in technicolor like it was yesterday. I can't believe I'm finding video from this show.

The way Eddie's greatest band were treated WAS APPALLING!! And the longing goes away is a masterpiece. Eddie had to teach the ignorant audience!

I think that’s art. #ifIthink
I could hear the fans chanting "You Suck" at the beginning and then when Eddie comes out they start cheering.....Irony.
St. Louis looked horrible that night. I was there and was loving The Frogs, not trying to boo them off stage. We dropped the ball
@derek9frf9 Dude, you were the dude that was onstage during Leach? I was there and I remember you!
The Frogs like to act goofy and all that but they had boatloads of talent when they got serious...
I'm proud to this day that I was immensely enjoying them and not booing them. Awesome!
@mzk123ify not sure if you knew but they are most likely. he was given those wings by a member of the frogs and he keeps them on the amp
I've always wondered if he got them from The Frogs or if they were just lying around backstage. Lots of musicals performed at The Fox.
@chrissalazar92. Yes very cool. He has had them for a long time. ;)
Damian Strigens on bass!
Is Eddie wearing Jordans?
Yes he is, Air Jordan VI
actually theyre jordan 7s looks like the raptor colorway or something else but def 7s not 6s
Probably. He often did.
I always thought Eddie was an Angel sent to earth, and I was right. This was awsome 😄💖
