The Nick Nolte impression is absolutely gold ❤
Glad to have kermode back and to make things better he does one hell of a Nick Nolte impression which had me in fits of laughter what a gem...............
I am on the floor! I am literally dying from asphyxiation because my diaphragm refuses to stop pumping the air out! Mr. Kermode, thank you for existing!
Still waiting for "Bob Mortimer has Fallen". Ooh, I can smell the chafing from here!
Whats next? Granddad has fallen...and broke his hip.
You know that thing when something amuses you far more than it deserves to, because of the mental image it generates? That comment is going to be with me all day now. I've got this picture of a geriatric Gerard Butler hobbling into A&E on a walking stick in full tactical gear and I can't stop giggling.
Lol!!🤣🤣
Morgan Freeman must have had second thoughts about becoming president after all that happened to Aaron Eckhart in the previous movies.
*_"Hollywood Has Fallen"_*
That would be a good name for a documentary. Am I right?
- *Me*
Mark has fallen......
into the warm embrace of Simon...you are welcome Tarantino.
Olympus Has Fallen was far superior to White House Down.
I put down agreements
Yeah totally agree, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I got into that movie.
Dont you think its about time you guys upload in 1080p so i can see marks quiff better.
Loved all three fallen movies. Amazing performances by Gerard Butler ....wooooooooooooooow
Mark kermode is literally such a daddy. Ride me over the mountains
Always happy when Mark's Tom Waits impression turns up.
Saw this earlier today and it was excellent - two hours of near non-stop action that flew past in no time at all. Mark has Nick Nolte spot-on and Mr Nolte's usual eccentric performance made the film for me.
I think this is my favourite in the ‘Has Fallen reviewed by Mark Kermode’ trilogy.
Well I am surprised. I wasn't planning to see this after the last one but Mark may have changed my mind.
If they ever do a Nick Nolte biopic , Kermode is the man to fill his shoes
I don't get why these films get slated so much I enjoyed them
That review was genius! More entertaining than the film I'd wager.
That Nick Nolte impression is comedy gold LMFAO.
Keep it up Mark!
Ok. This critique is by a guy who doesn't like Action genre and actually laughs at this popular form. If he were to suffer a terrorist attack, he'd probably carry on with his critique and smoke a pipe and have a cup of tea before the world came to an end. But for the rest of us folks who love Action genre, Olympus Has Fallen delivered, but the genre beats were almost predictable due to the script writer. Gerard's performance was tight and brilliant in this genre as ever. He's an action hero, with an intelligence and little glint to his eyes at the same time. The London Has Fallen was only 90 minutes long. As a screenwriting instructor, this immediately tells me they left out what is called a Sequence. In this case, they left out 2 Sequences. They used green screen and cut corners and hired a director who had never directed an Action film before. They were under pressure to get out a sequel. They never expected the Olympus Has Fallen film to do as well as it did at the box office. A 90-minute script, plus minutes allowed for credits leaves the audience in the lurch. Very unfortunate. But Gerard did a good job with the script he was handed. He directed and helped the Director in the action sequences which are hard to choreograph. The moral argument was missing, as was the designing principle, and the theme. Special effects and lots of things blowing up do not substitute for a great story. This third installment, Angel Has Fallen, I hope will be their best, as I'm sure they were very aware of the failures with the London Has Fallen film. I haven't seen the third installment, but am looking forward.
Great comment. Start a UA-cam series reviewing films please
Olympus was an ok action movie. A lot of that was down to Antoine Fuqua, who is a good director. The 2nd one was terrible. So I’ll be watching the 3rd because I quite enjoyed the 1st.😂
Nice Nick Norte impression lol
I rrrearlly apprrcshiate mister Kirmowd's review of my prrrfrrmance.
How does Gerard Butler keep getting roles
Blowjobs..
That Nick Nolte impression 😂🤣
That Nick Nolte impression was pretty good.
Just popped in for another laugh. Got it but if I was doing a review, not as funny as the 2nd has fallen review. Mark got to much enjoyment out of this one obviously.
Still a good laugh though.
Angel Has Fallen was a fantastic ride 🔥🔥🔥. Action, suspense, betrayal. Everyone watching loved it and clapped at the end.
Not in our cinema. Everyone knew who the baddie was within seconds of him being introduced, and who the baddie's boss was. Our cinema screen was full of people saying that was two hours they'd never get back...
Umm what on earth.. that impersonation made me pause what i was doing and rewind the vid LOL
That was SPOT ON!
Well.....annoyingly, I may well end up having to watch this film now!!
Though i have to say, the show REALLY does not work without Simon, because he would have withered at that Nick Nolte impression in a way that would have made it much funnier. The other presenters don't even try to temper him....well, except Phil Williams all those years ago!
I wonder if we'll get a cross franchise cross-over; Fast has Fallen?
Is Mark low key building up a stand up career? Coz his reviews of late had me in stitches...
Mark is back and having fun. Hooray!
Mark talking to him using his Butler and Nolte accents may be the greatest thing ever
That impression is why we need mayo
I agree that London has fallen is atrocious. But this one was quite decent, and the acting from everyone, especially from Butler and Nolte was really good. For what it was I liked this one a lot.
It reminds me of Taken 3, and is about as good, and as memorable.
Request for Mark to do entire reviews as Nick Nolte
There are really great, wonderful movies out there with Gerard Butler in it, why, WHY does he have to take these "Has Fallen" jobs?
Bank Balance Has Fallen
@GiRayne There are actors who are simply not much good at anything else, but GB ain't one of them. He can be terrific and I don't understand why it is not recognized by other directors, I mean that's ALL that he seems to be doing (The Vanishing seems almost an accident). It's like using a harp as a coat hanger.
Don't think anyones ringing him with amazing scriptd
I'm glad I'm not the only person who thought I was watching an expensive but fun B movie. I seem to recall an 80s film on VHS with Charles Bronson called 'Assassination' that had a story vaguely like this one, except done with a much lower budget and a massive dollop of cheese. Angel has fallen is completely forgettable but at least it makes no pretensions about having a moral message or claiming to be great art. I also like the fact that after a year where Disney dominated the cinemas, here we finally have a film that is the antithesis of Disney and has still done decent business. So in that regards I say well done Mr Butler.
Watched Angel has Fallen and it’s a nice anti-John Wick movie. It’s raw and silly and doesn’t take itself seriously. Really enjoyed it.
This has just turned up on Now TV/Sky movies and has convinced me it’s worth a Friday night watch
Update. Kermode was correct. It was silly and fun in all the ways the previous ones weren’t
I know most people aren't gonna watch really arty films or whatever and just want to be entertained and that's all well and good but you do wonder who actually thinks to themselves "yep, I'm gonna go see Angel Has Fallen today"
I went and watched it, it was ok but not great first still the best, it should really finish now any more its got to be straight to DvD land.
Outstanding Nolte impression.
Wow, Mark doing a spot-on Michael J. Nelson impression of Nick Nolte.
Mike Nelson, from Rifftrax, does a great Nick Nolte.
Gerard Butler-Fallen Hero
Hey, they ripped that entire drone sequence right out of the short film "Slaughterbots". It's available on UA-cam for anyone interested.
I honestly get greater pleasure watching so called B-films than 51% so called A-films because of the predictably.
*WORTHLESS MOVIE!*
*If I was set up that way there would be no movie because after escaping the bloody SUV crash I'd have done what the bad guys would have NEVER expected - I'd have walked back to the transport van & waited inside so that in one instant I would have both proven my innocence & revealed who was behind it, being surrounded by evidence plus the SUV crash just up the road.*
I'm just gonna say that I kinda liked that series but you can think whatever you want to think.
That is actually a scarily good impression of Nick Nolte.😅
Kermode has Fallen.
Did he even bother to mention Morgan Freeman as a cast member? Very peculiar, maybe one less self indulgent Nick Nolte impression would solve that problem - not that I didn't enjoy them.
Morgan Freeman cashing in the cheques.
10/10 Nolte impersonation.
Were the special effects at the start of that clip... serious?
Best laugh I have had in ages. Mr Kermode's impersonation was pure gold.
I’ve thought that Tom Waits was in this movie up until now.
I loved London Has Fallen it was very good
I was not expecting that
Wow Simon's let himself go over the summer
I loved London has fallen.
Mark ridiculing someone's voice has an unpleasant vicious edge. Mr. Nolte is 78 years old and still doing a very good job. I thought it worked well for the role. Does Mark know it's not part of a movie critics' job to demean anyone in that way? Does he realize this is 2019 not 1919? It has nothing to do with critiquing the movie plotline or how the movie is put together. It's just immature and crass. Made him look quite petty. Mark should realize this is NOT a 'B' movie. Budget does not signify quality in any movie genre. This movie stands up very well in it's genre. Thankfully, most movie goers are smart enough to make up their own minds. Hence, this movie is #1 at the box office in USA & Canada.
Im curious why you are sour on this fun action movie while our audience loved it and clapped at the end 🧐
Sour? Did you watch/listen to the same review as me?
hahaha love the Nick Nolte its great ...
It’s like Nolte was there #genius
I liked the first 2, must be me.
Interesting to give this a good review and once upon a time in Hollywood a so so. 🤔
@@lizziebooth5397 I get that totally, but Mark never goes into a tarantino film expecting to like it. He was the same with hateful, django, inglorious. His favourite is Jackie Brown which even from Tarantinos' mouth is the "least" tatantinoesqe film. He just don't like Tarantino, which is fine but it does fog his reviews. But hey he did a complete 180 on A. I so there is hope lol
@@lizziebooth5397 lol probably lol
Gerard Butler has fallen and he can't get up!
I cannot tell you how much joy that review has given me......👍🏻👍🏻😂😂😂
Gerard grosses me out since he played his low card screwing Brandy Glanville. Yikes
WTF where’s Simon
As bad as London Has Fallen was, I actually liked it more than Olympus. Angel is clearly as bad, so it would be a brainless watch when it arrives on Netflix.
Lol! Why oh why is Freeman in this...
Money. He has been in some real stinkers.
Yoda impresion
Whilst the film’s well focused, well acted &well directed then its predecessor, the film’s still poorly written, cliched & not as action packed as it needed to be. (41%) (2/5 stars) (mixed)
The first movie was the best awsome action movie ...angel was just a boring mess ......
Nick Nolte
Bourbon and bad choices!
Kermode is such frustrated actor 😂
I love Nick Nolte how dare you cheapen him (((::
How they got 3 films out of this dross is beyond me
Cheesy fun
So basically enjoyable rubbish.
He’s going soft
Brexit has fallen
Did you pay to see it? 😜
“If a poster has something on fire on it I don’t watch it” must be one of the dumbest and most pretentious things ever said on this show...
Gerard Butler....I think he's been on the pies lately??
a very wack review
this movie is awful, london H F was better
Movies are not that great this year.
Gerard Butler's career has fallen.
KesselRunner606 wasn’t aware he had a career in the first place
THE worst film of the year by a mile. I can not believe how bad the green screen is in the last third of the movie. Its embarrassing that this got a cinema release. That end fight was soooo uneventful and they looked like they were going to make out during the majority of it 😂
"worst film of the year by a mile"????
I guess you haven't seen Captain Marvel then. Lucky you :)
@@countzero1136 Yeah i review films on instagram. Hahaha I mean that was at least passable but this eeeesssshhh
You're so wrong Mark... this film is total garbage!
