- Rise and Shine everyone! The Carolina Shine Experience aboard the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad was a chugga-chugga good time! Hop aboard The Great Smoky Mountain Railroad with us as we enjoy a scenic train ride down the Tuckasegee and Nantahala River.
Get a stunning view of Fontana Lake and set foot on the Nantahala Outdoor Center, home of North Carolina outdoor adventures! Also, learn about the historic 1702 steam train all while we enjoy some of North Carolinas finest Moonshine, along with breakfast, and a surprise dessert!
This unique adult only, first class experience is only available a limited time throughout the year and we definitely recommend this experience!

Haha, what happens on a Moonshine train, stays on a Moonshine train! It was a really fun experience and highly recommend it. We enjoy checking out the museum every time we go there. I think they change it around from time to time. Thanks for watching Nick! Hope your doing well!
Riding the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad is quite impressive even with Great Smoky Mountains Railroad 1702 (Built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in September 1942).
We love the GSMR! We've try to make it on one of the trips whenever we are up that way! We also enjoy taking the trips during different seasons for different views. The trips are almost completely different in Spring vs. Fall. 1702 is our favorite of the trains. We hope that it will be there for a while. There is nothing like a vintage steam train! @@TravelandFoodieWarriors I also know that there is a second steam locomotive that they are restoring back to operation sometime in 2026. Which is Southern Railway 722 (Built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in September 1904).

Finally, another video!!!! Have you guys ever been the the steam train in Parrish, FL? It probably isn't nearly as cool as this experience, but they do have a mystery train ride that sounds fun. We have not been there for that, but did a lot when the kids were young and they had Thomas the Tank Engine. As always another good video. Keep up the good work. Also I forgot to comment on the last video, but I loved the camera joke Wes told on the Pirates ride at Disney Magic Kingdom video.
