I think what you meant to say is that strafing rather than committing to fights is super important in this game. A few months ago I was underperforming, so I reviewed my vods to find what I did wrong. When comparing my great kd to bad kd games I found that in the great kd games most of the times I did not commit to a fight after missing my initial burst. In the bad games I immediately stopped and committed to the fight (and got rekt).
Counter strafing is often thrown around the community, but everyone uses it in a different way. I don't blame you for slipping up (and neither should anyone else imo)
TLDR: I think he meant not stopping to commit to a fight by telling us to counter strafe

One thing I would like to mention (and yet suffering from) Is mentality, I'm ascendant one and boy my bad mentality kicks in whenever I'm not performing well, when I do badly, I blame everything on myself, even if it wasn't my fault. If you could get some sort of tip with mentality that would be nice.

Being the one with the less skill in my group(most of them are bronze almost silver while I'm iron), I fall over this trap many times. I'm always mad because it seems like I'm a rock in my team'sfoot even if I try my best to practice and improve. It really sucks

in my experience like u said mentality matter, playing too much while having so many things going on in my head just make my brain go numb and auto pilot, I only play when I'm done with all school stuffs and have an absolute great day to play. I hit immortal recently with this after being stuck in ascendant for half a year.

theres only so much you can do by yourself, its a team game, the blame is not only on you, but your whole team. That doesn’t mean that you cant throw rounds due to poor performance, but just do your best and refrain from getting upset over things out of your control. Also when I tilt in ranked, I make it a point to keep my anger in check. Take some deep breaths and relax, get out of your head and lock back in. Stop playing to win, play to IMPROVE. Also watch woohoojin if u wanna rank up.

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:
    00:00 🕹️ *Ignoring Fundamental Skills*
    - Ignoring fundamental skills is a common mistake in Valorant.
    - Players often neglect skills like counter strafing, crosshair placement, and jiggle peeking.
    - Actively working on fundamental skills is crucial for improvement.
02:21 🔄 *Relying Solely on Gameplay Experience*
    - Gameplay experience alone does not efficiently improve specific skills.
    - Training routines, aim trainers, and practice modes are essential for skill development.
    - Professional players with thousands of hours still prioritize daily practice.
03:45 🏋️ *Focusing on One Skill at a Time*
    - Focusing on too many skills simultaneously leads to frustration and lack of progress.
    - A better approach is to prioritize and work on one skill at a time for at least a week.
    - Overwhelming oneself with multiple skills hinders improvement.
04:57 🧠 *Having the Wrong Mindset*
    - A wrong mindset or not taking the game seriously hinders the development of game sense.
    - Game sense is crucial for predicting enemy movements and making informed decisions.
    - A serious mindset involves considering various factors like time, enemy locations, and team economy.
06:20 👀 *Not Watching Your Own Gameplay*
    - Focusing on mistakes during matches is challenging; watching gameplay helps spot habitual errors.
    - Mistakes become ingrained in the subconscious, making them harder to notice in real-time.
    - Spectating your own gameplay allows for a more objective analysis of your performance.
    08:01 📈 *Skill Inflation*
    - Skill inflation occurs as the overall player base improves over time.
    - Players may be improving, but it might not be evident due to a higher overall skill level.
    - Staying at the same rank doesn't necessarily mean you've stopped improving; it could be a result of skill inflation.

imo, most players plateau because of their communication and mental. In immortal, I would take someone with mediocre aim and great comms over a player with great aim and mediocre comms just because of how much of an impact good comms have. If you have below average aim but have great calls and comms, you would be surprised at how quick you climb. Most players know they have to have a good mental to improve but they just don't apply it. No matter if you think a teammate is what caused your death in a round, look at the round at what you could've done better and you'll almost always see at least one thing you could've improved in that round. Being critical of yourself rather than teammates also helps you not get tilted at teammates who do things wrong or are just having a bad day because then you'll stop blaming them for mistakes you genuinely did make that cost the round. You also need to realise that you aren't supposed to win every game, some games just don't go your way and you shouldn't focus on them, just lock into your next game instead.

Alright, I agree with most of this video. But, counterstrafing is almost useless in Valorant. Every gun has the same set accuracy reset no matter what. If anything, CS2 might have Counter-Strafing as a basic requirement even with its refreshed mechanics. Counter Strafing is basically a placebo effect in VALORANT and only works in *extremely* specific situations in which will almost never happen.

@@kazebuchi ~70% of pro players don't use counter-strafing. Dead-zoning, however is a useful skill as it allows you to shoot while switching directions, allowing you to remain mobile while shooting accurately. This is opposed to counter-strafing which is tapping the opposite key in order to stop, which is only an extremely minor optimisation, hence why most pros tend not to use it unless they carry over that habit from CS. It's just less consistent and if even pro players ignore it, why should ranked players care?

As I responded to slayer, how actively you use counter-strafing or not heavily depends on your playtyle. Counter-strafing is by no means a skill that is going to make or break your ranked career, but knowing how to do it could be beneficial. You won't meet a single player ranked above diamond who won't know how to do it. There is a time and place for everything, including counter-strafing. The point of this video wasn't to pinpoint that the reason you're not improving is because you're not counter-strafing, it was just a quick comment I made, aimed towards lower-tier players who might not even know the mechanics behind a counter-strafe.@@tau_kr01

When I saw this video, I honestly thought you had atleast 100k subs.
But when I saw you had around 50 - 60, I thought you made a new channel.
Either way, keep up the great work! Remember me when you get to 20k subs brotha!

My Gamesense is pretty good like High Asc-Low Immortal gamesense but im Iron im Hardstuck with my aim and peeks my movement is prty gud Iam a Neon main i dont just run with my ability i bhop while running its kinda sad for me to see teamates running without bhopping im mostly top-second frag

      @syedyousafbukhari2213 7 місяців тому

awh hi, I'm a neon main too, but i did peak plat 3.. well that's her main ability, you have to run and bhop with her E, slide on them and get them kills. keep your crosshair at headlevels and don't move while shooting.. do taps or bursts but not sprays, and easy. iron to bronze and silver should be easy. later on it kinda gets complicated

you DO NOT have immortal gamesense 😭😭ur actually tripping if u do, gamesense alone will carry you up to high silver-gold since people dont even know what theyre doing there

The delusion is crazy. Any person with even diamond game sense would never ever be stuck in iron let alone an immortal lol

At first i was crouching and shooting the torso but i know if i want to be better, i have to click heads. So i try to place my crosshair on head level, occassionally unbind the crouch key, play lots of deathmatch, shoot the heads of the bots in firing range, after for almost a year i can finally hit heads 90% of the time. It felt good when i realized i have improved from when i started
