Don't ask me why but I nearly cried watching this - I feel so proud :') so amazing to see how far you have come and how gorgeous you and those horses look in your show attire!! You are such an inspiration and I can't wait to see how far you can go.. xx
'OMG the camera is going to go flat, if it does I'm going to DIE' :|: 'Yea you can SHUT UP, and you can JUMP IT' :|: 'YES, she did win!!! So there!!' :|: You did win!! I told you!! I told you!! :|: I am apparently your parent now hahaha
I don't show very often, especially in dressage so to recognize that pattern makes me feel so special *wipes away single tear for the beauty of your horse*
Absolutely LOVE the brown boots and saddle for the dressage.I'm not going to critique your test(as I have no business doing so )but I think your tests looked really good!
your so pretty and such a great rider, my horse never listens and when she does it only lasts for about 15 minutes and then she goes nuts and nearly bucks me off
yeh its pretty annoying I've got a thoroughbred cross warmblood she's sometimes alright i think it just depends on what mood she's in because she's usually pretty chill
Or you just doing something wrong. Don't try to find the fault in the horse, since it's always the rider. I have an Arabian myself, he had a stupid previous owner. That previous owner was bucked off multiple times, even when she just tried to mount. Also other riders (who wanted to buy him) were bucked off. The previous owner was scared of her horse, so she sold it. As I got the arabian (he was 7 years old at that time), he was spooky. But not once, in all our years together, he tried to buck me off. He got calmer & peaceful. And I don't ride him only in some fenced area, but out in the open through fields & forests. I ride him bitless in a rope-halter, without whip, spurs or other "tools". He was ridden before in a typical bit. I rode him from day one without bit etc. I have my arabian now for 6 years & he is a very sweet horse. A little shy & still does spook sometimes, but still a reliable boy.
When I got my baby girl, she was nuts. It had taken 3 years of work almost every day to get her to be calm, not afraid, and actually loving life again. She was abused mentally because she was smart, so she had some major issues. Her previous owner was very nice to her, but the people who originally trained her were not. The way I got her mostly sane was diplomacy. Just stay calm and stay on. I had to do 20 minutes of tiny circles to get Frosty to not bolt when she came back into work after a few weeks off. She was ear pinning and wanting to buck and rear the whole time, but I called her bluff, she won't do that. But she was mad. It was funny. Oh, the mare was an angry cookie monster.Stay calm, and stay on.
how do you do that. my horse wont do dressage mostly because he is a hunter- jumper and because he likes to buck and turn corners the way he wants to turn corners!
Spacatyomi Dear try and make your horse enjoy it:) little squeezes (no sawing!!) and release when your horse stretches into the contact, you're horse will learn that there are positive consequences to stretching. obviously there's a lot more than that to dressage but an outline is a good start and can also help with things like controlling spooks!!
What color is your coat? I am having a hard time telling if its a dark blue, or black... I have a brown dressage saddle, and just bought brown tall boots, trying to decide if I want to keep my black coat or go with a blue one.
I would definitely go with a navy blue coat unless your trainer says you cannot.. (Sometimes my trainer gives me a dress code 😂) Brown leather and navy go very well together❤️
Gosh you had him looking well Hannah in both coat and body condition he’s got that healthy shine that you can’t get out of a bottle he just looks well he’s come a long way since you first got him do you look back at some of those earlier videos and marvel at the change you can really spot a diamond in the rough you know have you thought about buy young useful types of horses getting them going and selling them on it could be a good way of earning a living that still gives you time to ride and compete on your own horses espesially as any infer structure you put in to stables a arena etc can be written of on tax if it’s a business and having all that good stuff is twice as good because you get to use it and your business gets to use it as well a arena would allow people like your instructer to have students come to your place which then become possible clients of yours purchasing their next horse from you
warmblood.jumping103 I was instructed to sit back more over the last few or he would get too long and have them down, and it must have worked because he didn’t haha
Abigail Duskluck um okay what about a willing horse doing dressage disgusts you so much? He has listening ears and is into the bridle. If you watched the video you would see the clip that it is from - him happily cantering around the arena.
Why does the thumbnail disgust you? If you wanted to be super picky, the horse could come up a bit higher in the poll but there is absolutely nothing disgusting about the thumbnail. If you want to call something 'disgusting' then you need to have a reason.
Ah well the gag bit shoved in the horses mouth his neck touching his chest almost. If you didn't knot up his face it would not be so fancy, I hate bits so much. I swear everyone think it's okay, It's not. They don't Put big medal bits in cats or dogs mouth do they? Sure it looks fancy and looks like the horse is happy but probably wishing to get the pain device out of his/her mouth. He/Her of course listens to the bridle, theirs so many nerves in the horse skull he/she probably listens to the bridle super well actually.
And no horse wants to run in circles all day, neither jump, go around barrels and Cross country, no horse likes to do that, I would like to do barrel racing. If I get my horse will my horse prefer to do barrels? Probably not. I would not use any bits or spurs to make him run faster, But when people use bits and spurs and crops I'm sure they don't prefer spurs poked in their sides, pain devices in their mouths pulling back on their mouth.
It's not a gag bit. The horse is not over bent. The dressage test was ridden sympathetically. You are clearly not a horse person and are making judgments about things you do not understand.
Well done Hannah! That commentator for the 5 bar was so funny haha Also your total saddle fit saddle pads and girth look fab!
Don't ask me why but I nearly cried watching this - I feel so proud :') so amazing to see how far you have come and how gorgeous you and those horses look in your show attire!! You are such an inspiration and I can't wait to see how far you can go.. xx

Your dressage was flawless you made it look effortless and any tips on getting your seated trot
Madyson Wilson ride bareback
Madyson Wilson add leg, really want to feel the side to side movement of the horse legs and try to stay still.
use your upper thigh to grip the saddle to be stiller. also keep your heels down!
Madyson Wilson nice lateral work hannah
Also ride with no stirrups for a bit nothing like it for keeping you still
I don't show very often, especially in dressage so to recognize that pattern makes me feel so special *wipes away single tear for the beauty of your horse*

You looked so elegant during your dressage test!💖
how do you do that. my horse wont do dressage mostly because he is a hunter- jumper and because he likes to buck and turn corners the way he wants to turn corners!

why is the horse shaved?? btw I love all your videos! ❤🐴
Blov Hits it's so they cool off faster after a workout
Alexa lay it’s actually so that In the winter when they have a thick coat that causes them to get hot quickly it just helps keep them cool

warmblood.jumping103 I was instructed to sit back more over the last few or he would get too long and have them down, and it must have worked because he didn’t haha
