How to Easily Style Medium - Long Men's Hair (How to Slick Your Hair Back)

Поділитися

  • Опубліковано 25 сер 2017
  • In this video I outline the steps to how men can style their medium to long hair by using natural pomade.
    Step 1: Towel dry.
Step 2: Wait a minute or two.
Step 3: Apply a fingertip's worth amount of pomade after rubbing it in your hands to release the oils.
Step 4: Apply evenly to front, top, sides, back, and underside of your hair.
Step 5: Look fly as hell.
Added Tip: Run your hands through it half an hour or so after styling for a more textured look!
This pomade is made by Malechemy (Cocoon Apothecary), they are not a sponsor - just a great product that deserve to be known! Here is their website and here is the exact pomade I used in the video.

Casually Formal hey man The back of my hair on the back of my head is curling up I don’t know why this is but your hair does not do that. How long is your hair? Maybe my hair is not long enough. How do I stop my hair from curling up in the back? Should I straighten it?

    • @casuallyformal4516
      @casuallyformal4516  6 років тому +3

My hair definitely curls up at the back too! Just make sure when you slick it back to slick it back more towards the centre of the back of your head instead of down the sides to the back of your head. It will start curling after about 3 inches of growth all around!

If I may, my biceps aren't big at all... That's not really fair to say that they are compared to people who work out everyday and try to actually grow their biceps seriously. Let me be the first to admit that. I used to go to the gym almost everyday in 2014- 2016, but life changes you... a lot is different now and I'm lucky if I can go once a week. It's a very nice compliment that not a lot of people have said to me, so I appreciate it. Positive comments like that are what make me more likely to keep working out, so thank you!

+Amaan Shah I grew it out from a disconnected fade since May 2016. Sides were 1mm that blended to 6mm before the disconnect at the top, which was 2 inches. I have had several trims and split ends removed since I made this video last April. The length is maybe a few inches longer all the way around only, otherwise it would be almost down towards the top of my chest.

Hi, I’m from Toronto too! Question: my hair is extremely similar to yours, but it grows naturally to the front. I’ve tried a lot of products over the years to get the hair slicked back and lasting for a full day, but the only thing that I’ve got working for my is using the strongest got2be gel, which is almost like glue, and lots of it. It’s bad for the hair and the hair is rock solid too, which sucks. Do you have any alternative to suggest that would be strong enough to last more than a couple of hours?

If its more straight try scrunching in the product you use when its damp at the front and dont overload the front with too much product or it will look a touch greasy.

What kind of hairstyle is your hair? How long do you have to grow it out?

I always try moose but I have a side part and it always goes back to growing sideways instead of slicking back

Make the side part work for you, slick it as back AND to the side as you can - sounds like a pretty unique look!
