I'm an order selector for a union shop and it's one of the best paying jobs I've ever had in my life. I can make more than with my last full time job in a day. On top of bonuses, incentive pay, holiday pay, discounts and employee raffles. Quick tip for new employees: Interlock your pallet's boxes to ensure that your pallet is strong and sturdy, park your power worker near the spot your selecting from to be quicker, and when you select a box be sure of where you're going to put it at, set it down and keep it moving. The more time you take making adjustments, the more time it eats up towards your incentive and slows you down. When in doubt, wrap your pallet! It takes more time to pick up fallen cases than to wrap it. So just do so when you get a chance as you go (although with more experience you'll be able to build a pallet that can stand on it's own before being wrapped). Good luck!

This is great wrapping. Everytime I deliver to stores almost 3-4 pallets fall over everday due to the workers barely wrapping it right and putting light food at the bottom and heavy at the top.

The merging of stops is a lil new to me but just want some tips on how to avoid fucking up. Do’s and Dont’s.
What do all ya'll look for in order selecting jobs? What makes one warehouse better than the others?
Conditions and how you are paid
Order selection on a Cherry/Order Picker is 1000% better than floor level pallet picking. Way less strain; on your back especially. No running around hopping on and off the machine. You just need not be scared of heights.
You can be just get over it I did
This is great wrapping. Everytime I deliver to stores almost 3-4 pallets fall over everday due to the workers barely wrapping it right and putting light food at the bottom and heavy at the top.
As a selector you don’t get to choose which items to pick first we are timed when doing orders so what ever comes first we put it down and just try to make due about the wrapping part though sorry about that happens a lot
@@RevolutionDoesGaming as a selector , other selectors do know when their pallet is weak .. meaning they should have wrapped it more to compensate for the lack of the build , im not disagreeing with you , you are right but theres alot of people out there who don’t take pride in anything that they do which is why were even timed in the first place.
