I know one thing drew, not only do you find nice fish, you also find the most beautiful and peaceful places to fish for them. I say, heck yeah! Tight lines. 👍 headed to the smokies to flyfish for several days next week.
Man, out doing yourself again Drew! Those are the best days for sure, those ones where you don't even really need to tie on a different fly unless you want to! Im already missing summer!
Nice work brother, I'm so happy to have come across you last year. For years, people (friends, family, etc.) thought I was being anti-social or just plain weird because I absolutely love going solo (or with my ole pooch) on these types of adventures. Sure, there is additional planning etc. to be prepared for the contingencies of being solo (especially in Alaska where the majority of my 'missions' took place) but I feel you can really engage with life on another plane when not distracted by the wants and needs of another human... however good-hearted and virtuous those wants/needs be. Keep on keeping on Drew, you've earned it from what I can gather. -T
Really appreciate the kind words! I can't make myself wait for others...solo isn't always the easiest but I'm not sitting at home waiting! Plus, you nailed it...totally different experience and connection when all you have are your own thoughts!
Hi- great video as always. Just wondering if these areas you go to are on public lands (state/federal) and whether you need permits to camp or burn? Or can you just drive off and stop anywhere you desire? Thanks
Colorado's got some great trout streams, but any river of any size tends to be very crowded, by comparison to Wyoming, Montana and Idaho. There's a whole different etiquette in those other states. If you see somebody's somewhere, you go somewhere else. In Colorado, they see you fishing and they'll come right up asking you what you're using and start fishing 20 feet away from you, like it's OK.
Haha. That didn't spook a tenth of all the fish you spook you just walk up to a brand new hole and you walk right up on it and then you fire your line right down the very center all the way up to the top of the hole and you do that two or three times and then wander on
Drew, I know you're not going to tell me, but where in Wyoming is this? At least tell me it's Southwest Wyoming? As that's kind of what it looks like. BTW, I'm a Wyoming native and live in Casper...👍
Yes it actually is California! invading the last of the wild and remote places left! What's more is he is trying to pimp it out with bad fishing videos for UA-cam likes!
Your camping sights are unbelievable. ❤❤❤
Great video thoroughly enjoyed it Lordy Scotland uk 🐟🎣🏴🇺🇸
Splendid fishing,big trouts. Magic mister!

Definitely a good time to be out! Surprise myself sometimes!
Wow.. what a pretty place to fish! Spectacular..
It was an amazing area for sure!
Pretty water. Nice fish...life is good...keep'em coming. The videos are stellar.
Great video. Reminds me of some of our northern Michigan streams. Love the ZR2 Bison setup!
It's been a great addition to my truck camping road trips. 72" bed for the Win!
Like you said...angry browns...beautiful water, beautiful fish, great angler, great 4k vids...
Definitely! Glad the 4k is improving the quality of the vids!
Thanks for bringing us along. Headed to central NV this weekend since its perfect Trout weather.
Sounds fantastic!
Nice stream and nice surroundings. The second brown was a real surprise for a small stream like this.
Great vid, Drew!!!!!
How's the new truck so far?
Huge browns in skinny water! I love it. ❤
I dig my truck has definitely made a difference in my trips!
Beautiful stream, area and Browns !!
I was impressed!
Man, out doing yourself again Drew! Those are the best days for sure, those ones where you don't even really need to tie on a different fly unless you want to! Im already missing summer!
Me too! One fly days are great on long road trips lol!
Amazing place! So beautiful. Great fishing.
Would love to "be a fly on your vest" during these fishing adventures! Of course, I would come back and fish all these great places you find. 😁

Love Wyoming fly fishing ! Thanks now I must go thank for the video gave me lots of motivation to get off coach and go do what I love to do!
Nice looking creek. We have creeks where I live that have "angry browns" also. But somehow I think we're talking a t a different animal
Fantastic job. Love your work. Looks like a blast.
Definitely was!
I was literally stunned at the beauty of your campsite at 11:00 -- definitely worth 20 hours or more of driving for that!!! Beautiful truck too!!!
When I found it I knew I was spending the night regardless of the fishing.
Browns, I haven't caught many browns in Wyoming, except for PB in the North Platte on an ultralight rod.
All your casts hit the water perfectly!
I have a great editing team!
Great video! Thanks!
Beautiful water. You don't seem too concerned about bears in this area. Is that correct?
Love your channel, but have you ever fished a river or creek where there was no fish?
Definitely. One on this trip but they make terrible videos.
@@LooknFishy 🤣🤣🤣
When I grow up, I want to be like Drew! Arriving at a stream, knowing that I'm going to crush it!! Another great video, thanks man!
The secret is never grow up!
Love the open country! Whats with duck ? Cant have ducks around when fishin ?
What an awesome stretch of water 👍
Thank you for the vid...so jealous
That was a SLAB at 6:24! Close to a lake or res inlet?

Sounds like Colorado is getting more fly fishing trans plants from Kalifornia
Amen! CO sucks WY, MT, ID all better! Go there!!!!

Pretty damd nice area, give us a hint of what town you are near?
I was worried about that trout. Thankfully it was just a few seconds of confusion.
What a great stream!
Crazy good!
Are these all public lands you fish on?
Hi Drew, can you please tell what is the name of the video editor u use? Thanks, gorgeous vid, as always
Great fishing but its pronghorn and mule deer hunting season in Wy. If I were you I would at least put an orange hat on.
What stream ?
Living the dream!
Doing my best to for sure!
Did you tie your dropper above your dry?
Those are some nice fish for such a small stream. Ever run into any grizzlies out there? Hope you are carrying bear spray.
I saw sign but only saw a few black bears. I absolutely do carry spray and I make a ton of noise!
@@LooknFishy That’s good to hear. There are a lot of them out there, and they like those sagebrush areas like you were in.
Are there grizzlies there
The signs at the entrance to the Forest Service warn of them....shown in the next video!
Is this in carbon county
Beautiful video work. You’re improving every day! Slow-mo on the release is a great idea.
Thank you very much!
Killer Drew!!!! Question what do you think? What’s the percentage of those fish do you think that have ever been caught????? Great browns BTW!!!
Haha...I don't do math anymore! I was just glad to find a few especially after watching that redheaded duck swim thru so many pools!
@@LooknFishy what’s your guess on the fish you catch??
I'm a regular on your channel but these Wyoming trips are by far my favorite. You found an amazing stream. Congrats
Nice territory! Wyoming rocks. 50 years a go, we caught browns, brookies and rainbows in the same stream down by Pinedale.
That would have been a good time!
Haha. That didn't spook a tenth of all the fish you spook you just walk up to a brand new hole and you walk right up on it and then you fire your line right down the very center all the way up to the top of the hole and you do that two or three times and then wander on
Phenomenal.
Mosquitos?
Where's your shotgun dude? You're in heavy bear brush at the perfect time of day to run into them. Been there, done that!
Is this a public or private water? Really nice fishing👌
Did you ever find your water bottle/filter?
Nope, picked up a Sawyer when I moved to ID!
What rod and line were you using? I like the way it presented nice and delicate.
Fished my 8.5ft orvis recon and SA amplitude infinity!

Nice video
Wyoming?
This trip is going great. Rewatched on the big screen, scenery spectacular, fishing doesn’t get better than that. 👏👏
Couldn't agree more! This trip went a lot smoother, and the fishing was fantastic!
Those Browns on a dry are worth every mile getting there.
So true!
Drew, I know you're not going to tell me, but where in Wyoming is this? At least tell me it's Southwest Wyoming? As that's kind of what it looks like. BTW, I'm a Wyoming native and live in Casper...👍
is this California?
Never mind, I just noticed "I dig Wyoming"
Haha..I was like hmm...how do I answer that!
Yes it actually is California! invading the last of the wild and remote places left! What's more is he is trying to pimp it out with bad fishing videos for UA-cam likes!
its the quiet sport. switch that sharkskin line out for something quiet. harshin your mellow man.
Funny I never hear it but others do! I have the same line in the untextured on my other 4wt...the textured out performs it.
Textured line will also eat the finish coat off of a nice fly rod...
Hellava fish at around 6:30!! 😮

Hey how about we keep the 307 outa advertising we like to keep it the way it is dont need a bunch people moving hear and ruining are state.
Public land, he's not giving any names away, shut up.
I hate when the ducks to that crap all the way up a nice run
