- Asheville is nested in the Blue Ridge mountains. The town offers more than the historic Biltmore Estate. We visit the iconic Omni Park Hotel, built in 1913, transporting guest back in time while walking the halls where the rich and famous and many Presidents and dignitaries once stayed. A highlight to our visit, we strolled the quaint romantic streets of The Biltmore Village. Modeled after a small English Village we felt as if we traveled across the pond. Asheville's thriving art and music scene too enriched our visit. So come along and lets show you Asheville beyond The Biltmore! Let's Go!

I absolutely LOVE wall murals. The art work is often so clever and creative. Oh those wee doors, mini houses on the base of the buildings, so cool! So, there you were rubbing shoulders with those President's Men 😂! That hotel and the view was gorgeous. Those glass decorations ( balls) are stunning. We always look for the 'old part' of town where the history can be felt walking the streets. Gorgeous church building. A lovely walk through the town, thank you. I loved every step you took. Thank you Anita! When I think of what a luxury and sight the Park Inn must have been in 1912, we are so used to seeing huge resorts today, (Las Vegas etc). Oh if I could go back I think I’d hang out with the Vagabonds and Zelda & F.Scott Fitzgerald ha! The Village was stunning! You nailed the highlight; Graffiti, local art, and local craft beers. You see craft beer shops on every corner of downtown, Asheville. I could tell which roads you were on. The mountain view from the back of Omni Park Hotel is one of the kinds. That's why the rocking chairs were arranged. During Xmas time, there are extraordinary decorations you can enjoy. Love this video, what a great town! Great artwork, music shops, and the best thing ever, beer and records!!! I’d be in heaven!! Good album choice too John, love a bit of Hendrix. That hotel is pretty special too, we could easy do a few nights there. Changed my mind, the best part isn’t the beer and records….but those houses still have Christmas decorations up AND a Christmas shop!!!!’ We’re gonna come over and audition as elves. I’d also be in heaven just sitting recording those bells and train. Top video guys, we both really enjoyed it!

I loved seeing the historic hotel, this type of hotel appeals to me so much. I will go out of my way to stay in an hotel that has an interesting past that had interesting guests stay there. This video again reinforces why I follow so called 'smaller travel vloggers' I get to see so many more fascinating places that bigger travel vloggers who (from my perspective) all seem to congregated in very famous locations. Thanks for showing me Asheville.

That fireplace! SO gorgeous guys. My sister lived in Ashville for about a year and I didn't get a chance to visit while she was there unfortunately, but she just loved it. Especially in the Christmas time although she shared it gets difficult with snow and the mountains. Great review, loved it!

Asheville has long been a favorite of mine even though I live out west. I went to high school and college in Eugene, OR. Asheville reminds me a bit of it with more history though.

I loved seeing the Grove Park Inn. I would like to spend a few days there. I can imagine Zelda and Scott Fitzgerald partying it up at a place like that. She was kind of wild and maybe a touch crazy but by all accounts he was madly in love with her until the day she died ( and beyond). Great video. Very well done.
