Queen Elizabeth has always been a honorable women. She never got divorced, been with other men. If anyone should respected and held in high esteem it's her. The woman's a saint to me. At 93 she deserves some peace, and rest. She served her country more then anyother King or Queen. As an elderly grandmother she should be protected and held in high regard. Leave the woman alone. Those without sin can cast the first stone.

So why is this news? As sad as it is, there are millions of families who no longer stay in contact with each other, no matter what the factor. I truly believe she felt bad about her treatment of Diana and changed things after. She allowed Charles and Camilla to marry, which in the past would not have happened, and did not happen, which led to the whole tragedy on its course. And she also let Harry and William marry who they wanted. Kate was a commoner, Meghan a divorcee. In the past she wouldn't have allowed that. The queen was nice to Meghan too, went out of her way to treat her like she was welcome, treated her better than she did Kate when Kate first came into the picture. And this is how Meghan repaid her kindness. And the queen is old and has a country to run. How much time does Meghan want?? Shouldn't she be looking for that shoulder elsewhere?

The problem that these interviews didn't explain is that in the long-run, anyone who's not a direct line to the throne will be cut off financially since it's just too big a burden on the taxpayers. Harry knows this and shouldn't be blaming his dad for cutting him off since they were leeching off the taxpayers while not working in Canada (the pandemic contributed to them not being able to work as usual, which didn't help). There's few jobs they are qualified to do and The Firm usually restricts jobs if the optics don't looks so great either -- remember when Kate had to change her college major, etc. However, when Harry referenced The Firm suggesting Meghan to continue acting in the interview, he seemed really against that himself -- which says a lot about his own biases. Its too bad Oprah didn't ask them about these practical questions. They are both young and should be able to work to support themselves, and find payment for work that doesn't require them to reveal conflicting information about the royal family, but they are both human, too and probably it's difficult for them to turn down a lucrative pay day, especially knowing how expensive security costs. I know Harry and Meghan didn't directly get paid for the Oprah interview, but it paves the way for other opportunities and more invasive questions.
Perhaps they are trying to fight fire with fire because of how the media constantly hounds them and puts out false stories about them. It's easy to judge when you're not in that situation.

I wish Oprah asked Harry what he thought of the taxpayers expensing their lifestyle. He is blaming his father for cutting him off, but that only happened after Canadian taxpayers found out they were footing their bill when they stayed in Canada. Of course the pandemic doesn't help, perhaps they could have done some public service were it not for the pandemic, but they weren't really working during that time. He also sounded snotty and dismissive about The Firm suggesting that Meghan continue working as an actress to help supplement their expenses (again so there'd be less burden on the taxpayers). It's great they want to do humanitarian work, but they also want to maintain a lavish lifestyle and need to be realistic about that. Harry talks about security being expensive, but doesn't seem to quite realize the implications of that and seems upset about having to find his own work, which says a lot. They talk about responsibility, but don't realize when they sound hypocritical about offloading their own burdens onto others when they are very capable of working for themselves.
