Southern Pacific 18 Laws 2023

In late March 2023, SP 18 was sent north from the Eastern California Museum in Independence to the Laws Railroad Museum & Historical Site in Laws for the first time in 5 years to participate in a special event on the weekends of March 18, 19th, and 25, 26th. I attended the private photographers event and participated in the "The Slim Princess Sisters in History 140th Anniversary" event on the morning of March 25 to take a cab ride on the SP 18.

How did they run around #9?

At 14:04 you can see a small diesel, then at 14:30 you hear “Smokey’s gotta push her”. They used the 18 to pull her off the siding, put the 18 back on the siding, then the little diesel to push 9 past the siding, thus “running around”
