I just want to say I found this video very useful for disassembling and cleaning my switches, which seems to have done the trick so far...we'll see if the issue comes back (double clicking and other intermittent unpredictable clicking - very annoying). Also found it interesting that you can replace the switches entirely, and loved watching the whole soldering process. Probably not everyone's cup of tea, but I love that stuff.
Japanese switches! I assume they are supposed to be better quality, but who knows? Care to make any comment on them?
appreciate your reply. thanks
You used Japanese Omrons. Nice.
yeah,thanks bro!
@@greatwilliam8231 Last week I tried to remove Deathadder switched but it was really hard. I cant find a way to fix pcb and solders are really hard to remove.
@@smu7373 try to add flux on the solder point before remove.
@@greatwilliam8231 OK I will keep that in mind. I accidentaly removed solder pad on the pcb that holds 3rd pin. But actually I learned 3rd pin has no function. So my mouse is still working. Do I need to buy a third hand tool to hold the pcb?
@@smu7373 yeah,it will not cost too much and helpful.
Why was he cleaning the holes after taking out the previous switches?
Wouldn't the metal residue from the previous one melt and become one with the new solder?
the foot of the new switch is a little bit big than the older one.
Would you happen to know the part name of the laser sensor they aer using in Imperator?
try this: PLN2033 6400dpi
