It's so crazy to see as we follow along with each adoption how the kiddos fit right into your family and how all the kids welcome them with love and open arms. It's truly a beautiful thing!! I was unfortunately not able to have children of my own but met a man 18 years ago that had children from his previous marriage. They were 2 & 3 and I've helped parent and watched them grow into these amazing people. They will be 21 and 22 this winter and I couldn't imagine my life without my babies. I truly love them like they are my own. I tell them all the time how much I love them and even though I didn't give birth they were a part of my heart the moment I met them. I truly feel like God placed them in my life so I could get the joy of loving them. ❤

Crystal there really is a Crystal Lake Michigan. My Great great grandfather Discovered that area and and set up his homestead there, in early 1800's. Michigan is so beautiful. Come out and go camping... lol just pickin on you... you guys are an AWESOME FAMILY....🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

They are actual trackers, but my guess is that many people have the same animal. I bought them for my family in Hawaii 5 years ago and picked the dolphins. I can’t imagine there are as many tracked animals as there are bracelets. Nonetheless, the concept, raising awareness, and engaging people is genius

I have a genetic disorder and we call ourselves “butterflies” because of our ability to bloom after trials, so they’re really special to me.
It sounds like Harley is dealing with high stress rather than vengeance, the peeing on clothes or suitcases usually is a way to re mark their territory / trying to make sure they don’t lose you again. Just sounds like your pup loves you and is very attached. She doesn’t know how to function when your gone. Poor pup.

Makes me so sad that I haven't gotten to watch you guys in over a year, y'all used to be the highlight of my days but life hits and I was going through a breakup, financial problems, my dad fell from the 3rd floor of the roof broke both his legs which I had to step up the the plate and drive everyone in the house everywhere and then my mom got diagnosed with breast cancer and still taking and helping them while juggling work and for the first time in a while I've been able to sit down and just enjoy you guys videos 🥹❤️ and I cried because everyone has gotten so big 😭

In Arizona 2 people can’t adopt as single people. It would be one or the other, unless you’re married. In California you can adopt as two single people. My now exhusband and I have two bio daughters and two adopted sons. (I only say this to explain how our family was formed, they are all my kids equally!) We were not legally married until years after both our sons adoptions. We lived in California when we were foster parents and adopted our first son (he was 19 days old when we got him) when we lived there. After his adoption we moved to Arizona. A few years later we were contacted by California asking if we wanted his 1/2 brother that was just born. Of course!!! The process of getting a foster child to move across state lines is called an ICPC. Unfortunately it is not an across the board process. It’s different from state to state. In my case it worked out well, because I was able to get him as Kinship and I didn’t not have to take the foster/adopt classes all over. When I lived in Ca I was a foster parent through an agency. I took all my classes through the agency. When we found out we were going to be able to adopt our oldest son we found out we had to take classes again through the county to keep him as a foster and then take adoption classes after that. All said and done it was 120 hours of classes through California for my oldest son. I was so thankful I didn’t have to take classes again here in Arizona. I would have done anything asked to get to adopt my younger son, but I was very happy I didn’t have to. We had to get a home study, and fingerprints tho. Through the process we found out that because we were not married if we adopted him here in Arizona, only one of us could legally be his parent. Thankfully because he was from California we were able to go back there for his adoption and adopt as two single people and both of us were legally his parents. In a lot of ways I wish the classes were the same across all the states and the ICPC process was federally mandated and made the same across all the states as well, but it really did work out well for my family and our situation. It took 4 months to get my baby here to Arizona. I must have driven the poor social workers nuts! They said I had a baby and I wanted my baby so bad! We were driving to 5 hours to and from California with our 3 kids under 5 years old every weekend to see our baby boy. I was so thankful the last month he was there I was able to stay the whole month with him. My in-laws were able to get him to live with them when he was 2 months old as kinship, so we could get him with our family and I could spend that time bonding with him. I was told by the judge that our case was the fastest ICPC he had ever seen. I told him I think it was because I literally called the workers in both states about 15 times a day. And when they said they couldn’t find the paperwork they needed for a certain part of the process, I got online and found the forms they needed and would email it to them! I was a squeaky wheel. I honestly did feel bad for calling so much but I wanted our lives to begin as a whole family and not split between states. Our adoption didn’t happen until the following year. But I was ok with that. We had our baby in our home. It’s a complicated process at times but so worth the wait. My three older kids are adults now. 21, 19, 19 and my youngest is 16 now.

Crystal, I'm wondering if you could possibly get your Mom, Aunt Bonnie, Uncle Steve in a podcast a recap of the entire trip to Michigan. You should bring the entire Family next time. You only seen a very small bit of Michigan. Aaron, there's a 400 Acre place in Harrison, Michigan for sale with polebarn and living quarters on it with a river and private Lake. There's 20 lakes within 20 miles. How did you'll (fudgies) enjoy Michigan Fudge. Aunt Bonnie is So happy and funny, her eaction to the dog pillow was awesome. Uncle Steve thanking Crystal for the trip shows how big his heart really is. Wish you could have done more videos during Michigan trip.
They kept it small because it was just for aunt Bonnie and her mom and then Jamie and Melinda were seeing their dad and their girls meeting their grandfather.

Mass is about 6-8 months 3 home visits 40 hours of classes all Drs letters for every one in house hold. Finger prints any one over 15 years old. Three personal references and work reference. And a lot of tears but that's what Massachusetts does. I'm a single mom/divorced

You can get human,dog and cat urine smell out of clothes using cold water only wash with white vinegar and baking soda no detergent in the 1st wash and maybe 2nd time no dryer , then 3rd wash use your detergent as you normally would and air dry
Dogs don't do things out of revenge in that way...it could be that she is incredibly stressed when you're away and you see the physical manifestations of that when you get home

They are actual trackers, but my guess is that many people have the same animal. I bought them for my family in Hawaii 5 years ago and picked the dolphins. I can’t imagine there are as many tracked animals as there are bracelets. Nonetheless, the concept, raising awareness, and engaging people is genius

Jamie, I love seeing your yoda collection! My dad has a life sized yoda collectible and for every holiday my mom would put different seasonal hats on him. Also, butterflies are the best! I have a genetic disorder and we call ourselves “butterflies” because of our ability to bloom after trials, so they’re really special to me.
It sounds like Harley is dealing with high stress rather than vengeance, the peeing on clothes or suitcases usually is a way to re mark their territory / trying to make sure they don’t lose you again. Just sounds like your pup loves you and is very attached. She doesn’t know how to function when your gone. Poor pup.

Makes me so sad that I haven't gotten to watch you guys in over a year, y'all used to be the highlight of my days but life hits and I was going through a breakup, financial problems, my dad fell from the 3rd floor of the roof broke both his legs which I had to step up the the plate and drive everyone in the house everywhere and then my mom got diagnosed with breast cancer and still taking and helping them while juggling work and for the first time in a while I've been able to sit down and just enjoy you guys videos 🥹❤️ and I cried because everyone has gotten so big 😭

Jamie I love your ring collection! I had to pawn the only rings I had many years ago as a struggling single mom and that was so painful I'm only now ready to start wearing rings again. Your new daughter seems to fit in well already, im so happy she made her way to you Crystal and Aaron and your amazing family and extended family. In Arizona 2 people can’t adopt as single people. It would be one or the other, unless you’re married. In California you can adopt as two single people. My now exhusband and I have two bio daughters and two adopted sons. (I only say this to explain how our family was formed, they are all my kids equally!) We were not legally married until years after both our sons adoptions. We lived in California when we were foster parents and adopted our first son (he was 19 days old when we got him) when we lived there. After his adoption we moved to Arizona. A few years later we were contacted by California asking if we wanted his 1/2 brother that was just born. Of course!!! The process of getting a foster child to move across state lines is called an ICPC. Unfortunately it is not an across the board process. It’s different from state to state. In my case it worked out well, because I was able to get him as Kinship and I didn’t not have to take the foster/adopt classes all over. When I lived in Ca I was a foster parent through an agency. I took all my classes through the agency. When we found out we were going to be able to adopt our oldest son we found out we had to take classes again through the county to keep him as a foster and then take adoption classes after that. All said and done it was 120 hours of classes through California for my oldest son. I was so thankful I didn’t have to take classes again here in Arizona. I would have done anything asked to get to adopt my younger son, but I was very happy I didn’t have to. We had to get a home study, and fingerprints tho. Through the process we found out that because we were not married if we adopted him here in Arizona, only one of us could legally be his parent. Thankfully because he was from California we were able to go back there for his adoption and adopt as two single people and both of us were legally his parents. In a lot of ways I wish the classes were the same across all the states and the ICPC process was federally mandated and made the same across all the states as well, but it really did work out well for my family and our situation. It took 4 months to get my baby here to Arizona. I must have driven the poor social workers nuts! They said I had a baby and I wanted my baby so bad! We were driving to 5 hours to and from California with our 3 kids under 5 years old every weekend to see our baby boy. I was so thankful the last month he was there I was able to stay the whole month with him. My in-laws were able to get him to live with them when he was 2 months old as kinship, so we could get him with our family and I could spend that time bonding with him. I was told by the judge that our case was the fastest ICPC he had ever seen. I told him I think it was because I literally called the workers in both states about 15 times a day. And when they said they couldn’t find the paperwork they needed for a certain part of the process, I got online and found the forms they needed and would email it to them! I was a squeaky wheel. I honestly did feel bad for calling so much but I wanted our lives to begin as a whole family and not split between states. Our adoption didn’t happen until the following year. But I was ok with that. We had our baby in our home. It’s a complicated process at times but so worth the wait. My three older kids are adults now. 21, 19, 19 and my youngest is 16 now.

They were in Michigan, their Dad lives in Manistee Michigan. It's like 8 hour drive from Chicago, Illinois. If you go to Milwaukee wis constant and goes straight across Lake Michigan. Then you're in Manistee.

Crystal, I'm wondering if you could possibly get your Mom, Aunt Bonnie, Uncle Steve in a podcast a recap of the entire trip to Michigan. You should bring the entire Family next time. You only seen a very small bit of Michigan. Aaron, there's a 400 Acre place in Harrison, Michigan for sale with polebarn and living quarters on it with a river and private Lake. There's 20 lakes within 20 miles. How did you'll (fudgies) enjoy Michigan Fudge. Aunt Bonnie is So happy and funny, her eaction to the dog pillow was awesome. Uncle Steve thanking Crystal for the trip shows how big his heart really is. Wish you could have done more videos during Michigan trip.

Mass is about 6-8 months 3 home visits 40 hours of classes all Drs letters for every one in house hold. Finger prints any one over 15 years old. Three personal references and work reference. And a lot of tears but that's what Massachusetts does. I'm a single mom/divorced

Just a thought on podcasts- you’re a very open and raw, lots of people find it hard to talk ‘face to face’ so to speak, so that’s why therapists, counsellors, and podcasts etc are often not facing. 💜 it’s definitely worth trying of course it that’s your plan, just thought it was worth mentioning x

You can get human,dog and cat urine smell out of clothes using cold water only wash with white vinegar and baking soda no detergent in the 1st wash and maybe 2nd time no dryer , then 3rd wash use your detergent as you normally would and air dry

Oooo that podcast sounds really interesting and being in the uk and knowing how differently things are done here, ive been wondering what your take is on it. I know our system strongly advocates placing children within families of a similar cultural background and closed adoptions are very much the norm rather than the exception. Ive got many friends who are foster carers and/or have adopted here
