For anyone trying to make closer to an XL/2XL I did about 17 rows instead of 11 and did 10 chains for the arm holes instead of the 5. I haven't finished yet but so far it's working for me lol
I’m doing 114 chains: 38-17-38-17-4 I’ve gotten to the 3rd row, and I can barely fit my head inside. Is that how it’s supposed to be or it’ll gradually expand along the way?
If you want to make a short version, start with the sleeves after round 11, if you want to make a longer sweater - then you can add rounds to the center part to the desired length. Crochet 5 chain stitches in the armpit.

I did a few extra chains in the beginning as well as doing an extra couple of rows and it's working lol. I hope yours works out!

When I reached the stitch marker at row1, 8th stitch, there isn't 2 stitches left before doing the double Crochet in 18th stitch?

I love this sweater, but I want a square neckline! Any tips/suggestions on how to make those adjustments?
Change where the "corners" are. If you have an equal amount of chains between the corners, the yoke will be square
Try chaining 96, then on row 1, put corners at 15, 18, 30, 18, 15 stitches. Not quite square, but close, and is what works with the stitch multiple.

Você fecha os pontos com 5 correntinhas na parte da axila, fazendo isso nos dois lados você arremata o fio e aí começa a fazer as mangas?
Before you start on the sleeves, did you tie off and cut the yarn from the body?
You don't have to. You can just leave it there until you pick up where you left off after the sleeves are done.

How do you make an XL in this top
It the same why for me instead of chaining 5 I chained 30 for the under arms. I only on the first sleeve in I update when I get to my chest

It's a Medium size - you can easy add more rows before you start with the arms to make it bigger
