Good video man i was looking for some extra info to bad i already knew everything xD anyway ill share with you my personal methode of making money with crafting. It's probably not the best methode or most efficient but it suits my play style... Step 1 : get land in nuirmi/heedmar Step 2 : get more land step 3 : farm archeum trees keep what you need (sun for wep for example) sell the rest step 4 : do a trade run for charcoal (easy these days i do it solo by putting my packs on the ground) step 5 : farm some corn and grain and make small seed oils step 6 : buy wisps and basic materials like wood, ignots, leather ... step 7 : craft magni pieces and upgrade to epherium step 8 : rinse and repeat. Epherium : eventstone it and CONGRATS you got your wisp back = less money next try Delphinad : sel it on the auction house and CONGRATZ you just made a little bit of money or just broke even with all previous fails Ayanad : CONGRATZ you made bank
Thank you for sharing Blackcrawler. Thumbs up! I will point out steps 1-5 are a wash. In that, by producing the raw materials yourself you still consume the money when you use them. Meaning you could sell them for whatever the fair market price is that means when you use them you're still out that money. Used/sold/bought value is still the same. Step 7 :) reaffirms my statement that starting at Mag is the way to go. Thank you again for sharing!
Thank you, there is a lot of things I hope people do with the data, most things I didn't cover but the tools are there. As for jewelry.. I'm a handicraft so I figured if I'd show any example I would show the one I'm most familiar with. Also, things are going to change in 3.5 we just don't know to what degree, it is about time others understood this system before it changes. Cheers!
Thanks for putting such effort on making this, September. I'd like however to point that you probably forgot to consider the fixed cost of crafting some items... Like for instance, upgrading an epherium ring to delphinad costs 112 fixed gold + 189 gold of materials. Unless I'm really sleepy, I'm not seeing that amount referred anywhere on the spreadsheet
Thanks for the videos as always, i'm sure a lot of people will be annoyed that their easy money is gone but this should help those still needing to gear up or are playing catch up Real quick though, you might want to check your weapons tab formulas. You have the incorrect wisp for the "Cost to reforge" table, the 1-2 handed are switched just like the Wooden and Musical are switched. (Change 1-H to go with $I$23, 2-H with $I$24, Wooden is $I$25, Musical is $I$26). Easy fix but someone who might not know how spreadsheets work will miscalculate their costs. :)
Nice thank you on the wisp reference. As for the money making, I think this is the best way to present stuff like this. Sure this is a lot of helpful information, but I also gave people the tools, not the answer for the most part.
hey aired quick question what would be an efficency way to lvl armor or weapon crafting.. lvl the proficiency to be exact and not lose money in the process or at least not hundreds of gold.
Great question. Most things in AA require some lose, in fact, that is a pretty common thing in MMO's (thinking back to WoW) low-level stuff doesn't have much value and those who been playing for a long time tend to invest gold to get to higher levels. AA it is just tad different, not only gold but coveted labor. You could make a steel ammo in weaponsmithing, or like most professions invest the gold buy basic weapons and upgrade them. You'll get lucky eventually and get some wisp out of them to recoup some money. Great question! Cheers!
Rest in piece my money making method. But in all seriousness. you are a fucking legend for sharing this with everyone, as it is such an amazing method people normally keep this stuff to themselves. good job with all the effort put into this video. im looking forward to the tutorials you bring in the future. thanks :D
Aww, thank you, Koni. I do feel I did this the right way. I didn't say too much, rather made a tool that can be used. Requiring a little effort on others part to achieve success. You know the whole give a man a fish or teach him to fish type of thing. Cheers!
So, i'm looking at getting into crafting although i'm not really sure where to start to get the proficiency, Also i hear 3.5 for crafters gets better. Any advice on how to start? Would be interested in leather gear crafting or bows. Thanks.
Hi, so it is a matter of getting you skills up so you can craft at the higher levels. Carpentry (bows) is pretty easy as you can process logs to lumber to do that. Leather crafting is about the same, turning pelts into hide. You'll likly do this for little profit at first as you'll need 70k to make the delphs. I think I mention it in the video, but if I didn't most people who do this for profit have more than 1 account. So while you play your main you can have your alt burning labor in the specific profession. Unfortunately, that is a pretty common practice here in NA/EU.
Thanks for the reply. Is the market for Bows & Leather gear generally the same or is there profit differences in them? I assume that bows would give more profit as every class needs one although i may be wrong.
Bows are nice because as you suspected every class has a slot. Wave for mages, Gale for archers, Flame for Melee, and Volcano is upgradable, that means there are 4 good bows with only 3 that aren't as desired meaning pretty much more than 50% chance when you get to a delph level you'll have a desirable item. Armor crafting is cheaper than weapons but it also has a couple negative things going for it. 1. Crafting anything other than a chest piece means you don't have a good option to make no break shards if you fail to get the upgradeable type. 2. The cost to upgrade any item at the workbench is universal, meaning a set of sleeves cost the same amount as a chest piece in gold. It is not impossible to make money doing it, it is just a tighter set of circumstances.
Hello Aired, thank you again for Video but honestly it is for me hard to understand the whole process im New player and never bothered much with Craft jobs until now when i managed to get me my Patron. All this numbers and wisp thing confuse me alot, Salvaging is clear to me but what is Reforging?..
Hi Leenia, I would suggest downloading the spreadsheet and going to a reforge station / marniople/austera/growl gate and looking at the receipes for reforging. I think seeing it in game, and on the spreadsheet will help it make more sense. Good luck!
September, First of all, nice job on your movies, I have the same way to do excell tables to get the best way to do things on ArcheAge and I'm pretty sure that this is the way to sucess. I'm a crafter aswell. The math of mags needed to get 7 epherium is wrong, there is not 7 kinds of mags, just 4, so there isnt needed 49 of them, its 28 instead, but this not going to change way to hard to make more efficient than mags. This spreadsheet is awesome to help people to do some lil things that will improve the crafting and make more gold, you can choose any kind of mats to grown on your own. By my personal experiences I see that the Aquafarms will give you some mats really expensive in this crafting to end up with a lot of gold, example.: each sing pearl is half a gold, and you need 20 of them to craft one polish.
Thank you Charles. It's amazing I didn't catch that Mag is only 4 kinds now. I'll update the spreadsheet to reflect that. They must have changed that at some point. Thumbs up thank you for the tips!
No, that is part of the game. I have never used any mod what-so-ever. You see that "-" minus sign to the right of the Search button? Click that to add that buy now field. It is actually a price level filter.
I will normally craft weapons myself. Reforging at Magnificent to regrade in to Epherium. if it gets stuck on Epherium, I can use the lonesun evenstone on it for 55 celestial anochoring shards, making my money back for the wisps and more. If it goes on to Delphinad and gets stuck there, the same process but for Divine Anchoring Shards, making me about 3x as much. Then obviously if I get Ayanad I can just sell that.
Yep thank you for this advice but you hace to regrade your weapon at least to unique in order to make shards. It can be a lot of gold... Did i miss something ?
Hi Vincent, look at the value of the shards on your server. On my server even given the additional cost to regrade the item, you'll end up ahead (usually). RNG can be a bastage sometimes.
Xl game smoke something really good for reforge one ayanad weapon (current mana price )y need 68k gold ...My question is why Someone should use 68k for one Green ayanad when y can Buy 3-4 ayanad lol
Honestly, nobody in their right mind would reforge straight to Ayanad. However, I am really glad they did put this method in. It has been great for PTS (Test Server).
Technically if you can craft for cheap you can sell for the average price to make a profit right? That said this video is quite old and AA has changed so much that unless you play in a different region then where this video was made (NA/EU) it isn't really relevant. To be more specific, when salvaging was a thing it was all about RNG. Wisp had value and so did the crafting mats, this video was an attempt to reconcile those cost to find the most cost-effective way to craft the next tier, ultimately getting the upgradeable Delph item was the goal. To do this you'd have to salvage and recraft items multiple times costing more labor and more mats each time. Getting to an upgradeable Delph was the goal and where you made your "profit". If I remember the numbers correctly upgradeable delphs weapons were like 7-9k gold at the time. As the game moved towards 3.5 and 4.0 and the crafting system was changed those values dropped to around 5k. Crafting loses the RNG aspect allowing everything to convert to an upgradeable mat with Transmutters and wisp/salvaging was removed altogether. This simplifies crafting in a way but will require more mats, and labor. Anyway, I'm sorry you didn't find what you were looking for in this video and if you want to reach out to me I'm still in discord and happy to help the best I can rememeber. Be well!

GG.. now everybody will be crafting . . i don't mind competition, just buy my wisps for your startups. . Good video mate!!

On the jewerly I did forget the gold cost to craft however I included it on weapons and armor, not sure why I missed it there.

Reforging is recreating item from mana wisp. You can check exact number requirements in machinery folio.

Who are you?
thank you :D your videos are great!!
Thank you
this is releveant again because of Archeage Classic :D thx
Thnx man!
You're welcome.

Yeah I don't get it at all. This video is titled 'for profit' but then all the examples you give are 'how to craft things for yourself for cheap"
