I love that Catherine didn't want her daughter to focus on beauty. She made a point to talk about her other positive qualities as well. Then she mentioned her daughter becoming a brain surgeon as opposed to being a part of the fashion industry. Good job Momma. 👏👏
I love how Catherine eloquently diverted the conversation to her daughter's individual character and talents rather than let her be compared and judged for her looks. Way to focus on her talents and moral character because we don't need girls to feel judged on their appearance anymore than they already do.

When you put yourself out there as a 'model' you set yourself up for scrutiny. The reality is that millions of girls look like Carys. Pretty girl next door. Special in her own way but by no means different to the point it allows her model status.
Her mother on the other hand was and still is a true beauty. I don't think Carys should become a model. It just is beginning to feel so nepotistic hence why there are no real stand out stars in this generation of models. The exception being possibly Georgia May Jagger who does have that other quality the old school had.
Catherine was trying to hint at that in this interview. I feel like she was trying to point out to her daughter you have other qualities and possibly opportunities that I didn't have. I think she wants her to do something useful and fulfilling with her life.
Well, I agree that Georgia May Jagger, like the old school models, is an exceptional beauty in this day and age but she's not the only one. What about Dylan Penn? I'm sure there are others out there. Excpetional beauty is out there especially in this widely diverse country.

Your resentment for the successful or famous is messing with your very eyes. Sad. Despicable, actually. She's not in the top 5% - that'd be the prettiest girl in a class of, say, 25 people. She's in the top 2% - the prettiest girl, or in top 3, in her entire grade in that school (top 3 of 100 people, let's say).
Deal with that hatred for people being privileged or successful. It's disgusting.
She might be a mini me and character but she does not look like her mother. She has her mother's dark long hair. A very pretty young girl who is still growing into her smile. Smaller chin. Very sweet.

I still believe Catherine is prettier. The darker trais and her fuller lips make her the beauty she is. Her daughter looks a little more basic, I do not see anything that stands out apart from her eyes to be honest. I wish the daughter had more of her mother's traits.
