True, and come to think of it that video made this channel a joke and hypocrite. The result is they received a LOT of negative reactions from that content. Comparing Mj and Lebron picking LBJ as the goat, whoa!! That credibility goes to the abyss.
I’ve followed the NBA very closely and have heard most if not all of the stories shown in The Last Dance in some form or another over the years. I’ve seen the picture of him clutching onto the basketball in the locker room so many times, but hearing him balling out was tough and very heartfelt
True, also I stopped watching F1 after MS left, lost interest in boxing after MT left, stopped listening to music after MJ died, stopped watching swimming after MP left... actually I never watched swimming...
I think MJ holding back tears there was about regret. Regret that he took it too far at times and broke people down when he didn’t need to. He says he did it all for his teammates but I’m calling slight bullshit on that one. Yea he wanted his teammates to do as well as they could to win, but you can’t tell me he didn’t enjoy doing it. Or that he didn’t get a “high” off of putting others down. Maybe I’d believe him if he had a kind reputation off the court but he seemed just as much of a bully whether it be practice, a game, or off the court.
Most shocking for me was that Phil Jackson was offered a chance to come back, which would have meant everyone else would have come back on at least a one year deal.
Joe Were From what I got from the documentary Jerry Reinsdorf offered him a one year coaching contract, but Jerry Krause was set on rebuilding after the ‘98 championship regardless, so Phil declined as he didn’t want to coach a bad team. I think Krause was also quoted in the series saying he’d love to bring Jordan back if he could but the offer wasn’t extended to the rest of the team
Krause said even if he won 82 games he wasn't coming back. How will that make you feel as a coach.... worst or the best lol ... there's no way I would've returned
Reinsdorf didn't want to offer multiple years contract to a 72-10 win coach. Krause was just doing owner's bidding, lowballing Phil, and then Reinsdorf offered 1 year contract. It just didn't work this time.
@@rukawa23gold True true... I feel like Reinsdorf could have exercised veto power over Krause just for this one extra year and brought both MJ and Phil back...Like MJ said, the other's would not have said no to one more year of the last dance if those two were for sure coming back. It would have been have been epic
@@jaydabliu Oh, well. That's just life. Eventually we all face that one enemy that defeats you even if you are the GOAT MJ. The ironic ending of Last Dance was, MJ Bulls wasn't defeated by Jazz, but by its owner. The only person to ever defeat Jordan is Reinsdorf. Maybe Reinsdorf was tired of living under Jordan's shadows?
I'm in my mid 40s so I've watched him pretty much since the start of his NBA career, and thought I knew everything about him. But I was shocked when I saw him crying on the floor holding the ball after winning that championship.
Seeing Jerry Krause dancing on the plane 😄 One of the most shoking facts was Scottie's Pippen contract and the fact that he was not even in the top 100 highest paid players. I mean that's robbery.
I “attended” a global resilience summit a couple weeks ago and one of the featured people was George Mumford, who was the mindfulness coach for Phil Jackson and later Jackson and the Lakers. He was actually close with Kobe as well. And shared how he was saddened by his death and he flies in helicopters as well so he has that fear. But yeah he came in, pretty much right after Jorden’s father died and he retired, and how much of a chaotic season that was and how he helped introduce mindedness to the team as a way of dealing with it.
Hearing how dennis studied players shots & where he knew they would land is pretty genius & shows how great he is. He also seemed to have a blast in the 90s.
So many things left out: Jordan‘s open hostility to Isiah Thomas, Horace Grant calling the Pistons “Straight Up Bitches,” The Security Guard Shrug, Space Jam, The Food Poisoning Game, Rodman leaving the team to join nWo on WCW, Jordan’s Gambling, Pippen’s Trade Demands. So...much...more
@E BO Bird had 4 other hall of famers to help him. You don't understand... Jordan scored 63 against one of the greatest defensive teams ever. Now think again why one of the greatest players in history calls this young kid... GOD. Imagine Durant calling LeBron God or Black Jesus 😂.... Will never happen
The Father's day game.😭😩When he got back to the locker room he fell on the floor and cried his eyes out. It was so overwhelming. Seeing him like that broke my heard.
For me: 1. When Jordan said he would've signed for the 7th championship 2. When he called Larry Bird a bitch after eliminating the Indiana Pacers in the playoffs
Yo bro I just seen your comment and it's like everyone forgot or just don't want to believe what he said but the convo went like this: mj taking to Larry bird... "Fuck you bitch you thought you was going win Larry bird :" well we played a good series " mj: " motherfucker that was the one chance you had to beat while I was play!!!" Michael was a savage bro
The vegas stuff wasn't a surprise. What I found suprising was 1.) I think the press drove MJ into his 1st retirement. It looked like they completely turned on him due to some of the betting stories and it wore him out. And then his dad died and that was the kicker. 2.) When he went to play baseball, the strike was in the 2nd season and MJ did not want to cross the picket line. He visited the bulls practice facility a few times and next thing you know, he's running full 5's. What would have happened if there was no strike? 3.) In the 97-8 season, Scottie had surgery on his foot and he said he wasn't coming back. He seemed pretty adament about it. I think MJ called him up and said, I'm going to kick you 5 mil and I want you back in full participation. Scottie magically started to play. 4) At the end of the 97/8 season, MJ & Phil would have came back for the next season, but they must not been able to convince Scottie. I'm sure Dennis & the rest would have played another. The NBA players contract was up and after 98 and then they went on strike so I'm sure that played into it.
I was a Senior in high school in 1996 when the Bulls went to the Championship and won. I missed graduation parties to watch their games. Will always love that team and LOVE Phil Jackson.
When he got choked up on the court talking about dedicating the trophy to his dad and then went to the locker room to cry it out on the ground. That shit broke me, I cried real tears.
I agree with the number one. I follow about a dozen NBA youtube channels and naturally they post A LOT of stuff about Michael Jordan. While there was TONS of stuff in this series I'd never seen or heard of, what amazed me the most was all of the "took it personal" moments. I'd heard numerous stories about him reacting to trash talk, but never the ones where he'd go off on someone for something like "Oh Jerry Krause likes this guy? That's all I need!" or someone not saying hello to him. The man was truly a mastermind at getting himself gassed up and using anything he could find to motivate himself and get the most out of himself.
@@92brunod When the details of the story from 4 different people match then that means the story is more likely to be true. If all of the details from each guy were different then THAT would mean that someone is likely making it up and it’s not true. Why do you think police separate suspects and coconspirators when they interrogate them? It’s to see if the details of their stories and alibis match thus making it more likely to be true. @@MOBROOKS But if it's WORD FOR WORD, exactly the same that's an indicator that they rehearsed it and decided exactly what to say. You would be an even more horrible detective, buddy.
As a young guy, not being able to see Michael play sucks...I would see all over the media that he’s the goat and all this and that but I never understood why they would say that until the documentary came out...I would always put Kobe (R.I.P.) at the top of my list and then Jordan...but after watching this series, it has completely changed my mind and the way MJ was as a player...the doc was all I need to say that MJ is the greatest basketball player to have ever played the game and this has giving me motivation to better my life...thank you Michael for releasing this !
I dont even watch Basketball, but I love Greatness. That doc just shows you the real GOAT. Anybody whom doubted MJ for a second would instantly regret it. MJ would show them every time, don't talk shit to me, don't doubt me. And back up it instantly.
I thoroughly enjoyed this series & learned so many things about Jordan & the Bulls that I never realized. In my opinion Jordan doesn't have to explain himself to anyone. He did what he did to get to where he needed to be. A true Champion!🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
I gotta check myself and realize that there’s a possibility that the watchmojo employees were not alive or were too young to remember a lot of these moments.

Opponent: Thank you for making me MVP.
Jordan: That’s all I need.
I’ve followed the NBA very closely and have heard most if not all of the stories shown in The Last Dance in some form or another over the years. I’ve seen the picture of him clutching onto the basketball in the locker room so many times, but hearing him balling out was tough and very heartfelt
When MJ left the game, I think a lot of people lost interest. Including myself.
Yep me too and from what I hear from fans I have not missed anything
Really, guys?
True, also I stopped watching F1 after MS left, lost interest in boxing after MT left, stopped listening to music after MJ died, stopped watching swimming after MP left... actually I never watched swimming...

“If you don’t want to play that way, don’t play that way” wow, that’s my number 1
Maybe I’d believe him if he had a kind reputation off the court but he seemed just as much of a bully whether it be practice, a game, or off the court.
can you please explain the quote
MJ, Pippen and Rodman: the father, the son and the Holy ghost
1misanthropist God exists too dummy
For me it was probably Jordan trash talking Magic Johnson in the American team practice game.
LOL yea that was good
Bruh when magic said they moved Chicago stadium here I lost it lol.
That’s long been talked about and shown in the Dream Team documentary... not shocking
"Just like the NBA he gets every call!" I didnt know Magic was mean..
In #1...
Reporter: Mike, what did that poor guy do to you?
GOAT: Nothing, I made it all up
Me: 🤯😯😔 this man is part crazy....
part crazy and part absolutely insane
Seeing Jerry Krause dancing on the plane 😄
One of the most shoking facts was Scottie's Pippen contract and the fact that he was not even in the top 100 highest paid players.
How Dennis Rodman Vegas vacation is shocking, thats classic Rodman that we all know
The wrestling one was more iconic even I was like what the hell as a kid. Still it was great seeing him with NWO.
It wasnt classic rodmen at the time if him doing it because he hadn't done it before.
Hearing how dennis studied players shots & where he knew they would land is pretty genius & shows how great he is. He also seemed to have a blast in the 90s.
One can not simply rank only 10 moments from the last dance, as EVERY moment from the Last Dance were the best
So...much...more
Jordan's Gambling was touched on quite a bit I thought.
Larry bird saying that jordan was "God disguised as michael jordan" that day. Wow
@E BO Dude, I was only surprised to hear larry bird talking about MJ like that. However, THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD!!! That God is Jesuschrist, man.
E BO it’s a team sport
E BO stfu I’m a gambler and drinker and a basketball player and I ain’t no demon unless you make me hurt you
I didn't want the series to stop
I only knew he went to baseball, while watching space jam
The Father's day game.😭😩When he got back to the locker room he fell on the floor and cried his eyes out. It was so overwhelming. Seeing him like that broke my heard.
For me:
1. When Jordan said he would've signed for the 7th championship
2. When he called Larry Bird a bitch after eliminating the Indiana Pacers in the playoffs
Lmaooooooooooooo
The top reason isn’t even listed. The amount of money Scottie Pippen made in comparison to his teammates was RIDICULOUS!!!!
Compared to the rest of the league he was the 122nd highest paid player.
Kobe giving credit to MJ for many things in his career. Pure Class! RIP Black Mamba
The most scary part about Jordan was he smoked a lot of cigars, drank a good amount of alcohol, didnt sleep much and still won 6 rings 😳
I think this is list reflects on how much Watchmojo knows little about MJ.
Honestly sad that we will never see a documentary like this for Kobe, rip king
I watched the full documentary and personnaly "the best"
The Last Dance is the best documentary that I have ever seen
Dennis Rodman almost committing suicide when he was with the Pistons is shocking to say the least
I didn’t know about Steve Kerr’s dad. So sad yet so insipiring, I respect and admire him even more.
Most shocking to me was that the "flu game" was actually after a (maybe deliberate) food poisoning... I had no idea.
that's what MJ and his entourage claim with no evidence. It sounded like a made-up story the way they told it almost word for word exactly the same.
@@92brunod
When the details of the story from 4 different people match then that means the story is more likely to be true.
If all of the details from each guy were different then THAT would mean that someone is likely making it up and it’s not true.
Why do you think police separate suspects and coconspirators when they interrogate them?
It’s to see if the details of their stories and alibis match
thus making it more likely to be true.
No offense, but you would make a horrible detective.

MJ: “That was very personal to me”
I dont even watch Basketball, but I love Greatness. That doc just shows you the real GOAT. Anybody whom doubted MJ for a second would instantly regret it. MJ would show them every time, don't talk shit to me, don't doubt me. And back up it instantly.
this documentary felt like an action movie
I thoroughly enjoyed this series & learned so many things about Jordan & the Bulls that I never realized. In my opinion Jordan doesn't have to explain himself to anyone. He did what he did to get to where he needed to be. A true Champion!🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
I gotta check myself and realize that there’s a possibility that the watchmojo employees were not alive or were too young to remember a lot of these moments.
Barkley helping Tony up speaks a lot to his character. He knew what was going on with him and the bulls and he’s still a good sport
