I scored a slightly used pair @ the goodwill for $15... it needed some cleaning on the white parts of the soles. With a quick cycle in the washing machine... they look good as new. They r amazingly comfortable. Nice all around show.
They are supposed to to wide toe box shoes but they still have the same tapered toe wide toe box shoes have a square rounded toe box so you can splay your toes out like we are ment to do. I strongly suggest trying some altra shoes or topo. I promise once you where those shoes you won't want to where any other shoes. Being able to splay your toes improves balance and actually helps with posture to and can help with back pain as well. They are more expensive but they are very well made and will last far longer then 50 to 70$ shoes. They use vibram soles to they are in the top 3 soles in the world. The US military uses vibram because the soles they had on there boots when they first went to the middle east. The soles were wearing out super fast because of the sand. So they had vibram make them soles for there boots and problem solved. Yes altra and topo toe box's don't look as good. But really it's just because we ain't use to the look. Try them your feet will love you for it. And you will fall in love. They make different thickness in soles and 3 different width shoes. I have to where the original because I have Flintstone feet. And I could still use a wider shoe. It sucks. Growing up the shoes ruined my feet. But now these companies are making shoes that are actual foot shape. And it's helping with the ingrowns toenails that the Traditional shoes has caused on both of my big toes. It's taken time but I didn't wear no shoes for about 2 years and there's starting to go away. They are about 3/4 gone and they were really really bad. I was in pain all the time.
