If you come across these enemies, best keep your distance. Welcome to MojoPlays, and today we’re looking at video game enemies that rack up more player deaths than any others. But we won’t be including any boss fights. Our list of the deadliest video game enemies of all time includes Bile Titans from “Helldivers 2” (2024), Bloaters from “The Last of Us” Series (2013-20), Tonberries from the “Final Fantasy” Series (1990-), Mimics from the “Dark Souls” Series (2011-16), the E.M.M.I. from “Metroid Dread” (2021), and more! Volatiles from Dying Light 1 - that 1st encounter is really something
It felt amazing after headshotting an alpha volatile for the first time with a 6k damage semi-auto shotgun for the first time.
I'm still mad about how trash the difficulty was in 2 compared to 1.

@@Eisaku2true that I was a bit dissapointed with Dying Light 2 as a whole night was not as exciting and scary when the game was anaonuced it was said that the players choices will impact the game and I didn’t really feel like my choices made any difference and don’t get me started on the VNC tower mission the VNC tower was hyped up through the story and how dangerous it is turned out to be complete and total bullshit
We all know the deadliest foe is a cliff. It has more kills that transcends multiple games.
yeah huh, i died way more falling than all my total deaths in Dante's inferno (final boss was only once).
I love that there's a distinct point in this video where it shifts from enemies that are enemies trivialized by time and experience to enemies that are always a problem.
4:08 Big Cheep Cheep making its game debut from The Mission to Rescue Princess Peach. From New Super Mario Bros. onwards, it has Big Bertha’s behavior, while Cheep Chonps take the Boss Bass’s behavior.
Defias Pillager, World of Warcraft. So infamous that they got removed until Classic servers came up. They were an early game enemy for Alliance players, but they were HORRIBLE. They could attack from an obscene distance, they hit significantly harder than anything else in the zone, and they were always in the worst spots. Fighting one was like fighting a boss before you even stepped foot in a dungeon.

Yeah, having to run so much and not have much weapons to kill him quickly can be quite annoying.
Volatiles in Dying Light 1&2
From what I know about dark souls mimics are one of the easiest enemies to kill, though they force you to have a habit of RMB every chest you see😅
A little tip here: when facing a brute in Dead Space, put it in stasis and then quickly go over to their side(s) and shoot the glowing sacs

Chrysalids are the reason save scumming is so tempting.
The deathclaws in fallout 3 and NV were genuinely scary and threatening
IE-09 HELIANTHUS in Armored core 6, these damn grinder wheels are a nightmare to fight. They re fast, aggressive and they always come with friends !!!
I had a feeling that deathclaws would be on this list.

Not even gonna lie i didnt know that with the mimics. I just turn the camera very close & see if the chest is breathing since it has a breathing animation.
its a real shame crucible knight from elden ring arent on there they are everywhere hit like a belt from a step father and can be found pretty early
i think you forgot about pocket raptors in guild wars 2, i think after a year of the release of the expansion arround 2 mil deaths were caused by those nastys buggers :)

I'm waiting for the day that this channel or its sister channel to talk about Armored Core VI in a good light. Or any light for that matter....
The PCA special mechs from that game are not boss fights, but they feel like mini bosses if you're unprepared.
And we thought Pokemon and the rest of Poke-Clones have any deadlier monsters already

I think he counts as a boss but I agree wholeheartedly it took me so long to finish his area it was ridiculous I'd even say he was harder than the final boss I mean I was a kid at the time but it couldn't only be me that took forever on it lol

just playing kingdom hearts 2 and omg roxas is just insane to beat and im already on easy mode. can someone help? i mean im level 44 and not 50. is it really nessesary?
I was playing Kingdom Hearts 2 on Beginner Mode too and I still had a little trouble with Roxas. I was at level 82 and had the essential accessories and abilities equipped, but Roxas was moving so fast and kept spamming those light attacks on me, and that made it hard for me to land any attacks. Thankfully, I had plenty of Hi-Potions and Elixirs in stock.
Coeurls like the final form of them in the dungeon,🌵 & toneberries are all difficult non-bosses

For my money, it’s a tie between the winter lanterns and shark giants from Bloodborne. They instill legitimate fear and panic beyond reason.

I think those damned jackels in halo 2 on legendary with the sniper carbines are what killed me more than anything else in another video game thankfully they did let you use the scarab bean gun

I would add Charge Dozers from Payday 2 if they existed. These guys are the closest thing to a cloaker bulldozer, capable of instantly downing one or even all heisters in a charge path.
what about Cactuars? their 10K needle attack alone is a 1 hit kill
The brutes in Dead Space remake were just a pain and a nuisance to deal with.

Don’t technically disagree with any of these, just not understanding the vague criteria of this list and the reasoning behind placements.
better you try to make the 10 most deaths in 1st encounters copilation. and that includes lifes remaining. example 1-1 stage 1st goomba in smb from nintendo.
Skyrim: It's not really suprising that tough enemies are tough when your level is low :v
XCOM2: chryssalids are nasty, but andromedons and gatekeeper are by far worse... First will leak acid left and right and you have to deal with them twice and if you don't defeat gatekeeper asap (or mind control it), you'll probably gonna have a baaaaad time.
Persona 3: Reapers. These guys are NASTY. If you don't have Armageddon skill, you'll most definitely gonna have a very bad time :v Versions from Persona 4 or 5 are funny little guys in comparison.
Well, I died a lot of Times to the Butcherers in Dead Island 2.
The Sola DLC is brutal as there’s more powerful enemies and a pain in the bum end boss

Again, why are the E.M.M.I on the list when he said they aren't including bosses? Not only do you have to destroy a Central Unit to be able to kill them using the Omega Cannon for five of them, you also get a suit upgrade from six of them. Stop saying the E.M.M.I aren't bosses when it's a general rule in Metroid that if a suit upgrade is a reward for defeating them, it's considered a boss.
I don’t think anyone at MojoPlays even considers the EMMI’s bosses. Like they are bosses in the game. As you said, you get a suit upgrade from defeating six of them, and usually you get a suit upgrade from defeating a boss in Metroid games.

Giants The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim and Big Daddies Bioshock and Boss Bass Super Mario Bros 3 and Mimics Dark Souls Series and Banshees Mass Effect 3 and Deathclaws Fallout Series and Brutes Dead Space and Dr. Salvador Resident Evil 4 and Bloaters The Last of Us Series and Shark-Giants Bloodborne caused me the most deaths on the PS3 or on the PS4 or on the switch
Really after a little while giants are easy, never struggled with big dadies or banshess, brutes were more annoying then anything , deathclaws depend on which game in the series it is

Dark souls, Skyrim, Bioshock, Mass Effect 3, Gears of War. I didn’t Die once they all was way to easy for my skill plus that Souls series and Elden Ring was child play for me. I’m working Gears of War 1 on Hardcore for fun to easy.
The Last of Us Part II is highly overrated anyway.
Why are Banshees always on these lists? I can beat ME3 on insanity with my eyes closed. And believe you me, I'm one of the least skilled gamers you ever met.

No. If they don't have a one-hit INSTANT KILL, then they shouldn't be on this list.
One hit kills aren't always deadly and enemies with decent ai can prove to be harder. Plus there are too many games where anything can kill you in one hit.
