I’m so proud to be a Patreon. There is only 1 artist that I would freely support, and Louise gets that distinction. She is extremely talented and an excellent instructor.
I enjoy listening to you talking about your preparation and things that can go wrong, even for professionals like yourself. It's easy to think that you are the only one who makes "stupid mistakes" when it happens to everyone and it's not STUPID!
Great to see you back! These Cockatoo's are wonderful! Thanks so much for sharing your skills with us. You're a fabulous teacher Louise! 🌹 Btw the Cockies would probably have loved to have a spray from your garden hose. They love showers. They're very dusty birds and have a natural powder on their feathers. 😊
Excellent tutorial Louise. I find Pebeo a much more reliable masking fluud. I’ve never had any staining with it. Thanks for sharing your beautiful painting.
How wonderful to have those feathered friends visit your garden! You painted them beautifully 😊 I’m still keeping my eyes open for the soft pressed paper you used as I haven’t been able to find it here in the uk yet. Have a great weekend!
Wonderful to see you again. And a happy new years. Worlds apart!!?? How I've yearned to have 'exotic' birds pop in like you have there. But here in the UK, we've been super blessed with the re-introduction of Red Kites. A wow factor with every sighting. Weird to think we each have wildlife that we'd love to see, that the other is so used to seeing, that it's no longer an event. Such is life around this great big world of ours. Well, it's happened. I finally got up to your level, and enjoy every passing moment, when "Oi, Nasher. Here's your cuppa". My beloved wife brings me back from such a wonderful day dream... LOL Well, anyway Louise, many thanks for another astonishing display of the mastery of watercolour painting. Welcome back.😋
A beautiful painting! Will definitely try to follow the full length tutorial on patreon. Thank you so much for actually showing how to fix mistakes rather than giving up on the painting. Loving the limited palette use. Need to learn that and you teaching it is such a golden opportunity!
Great to see you back and with an absolutely charming painting of those two cockies 💛 Lots of useful tips on improving my skills in here …also your “bloopers” at the end of your videos always make me smile 😊
Just a little hint Louise is perhaps when doing main long vid for Patreon if you want them to be male and female, the female would have a deep Burnt sienna eye colour and the male black. Just a little something that wouldn't really matter anyway. Love your work immensely
Another STUNNING piece Louise! I have also had staining issues with certain brands of masking fluid! One that works well is Drawing Gum by Pebeo. I also had a chance to try the Fabiano Soft pressed paper. Thank you for the recommendation, I absolutely LOVED IT!!! It's the perfect medium for me! I can get the details but still get the beautiful granulation when I want it, like with my Cold pressed. Even better is the price. So...much less than my Saunders or Arches! I'll have to tag you on Insta to show you how it turned out!
That's wonderful Nathan. I'm so glad you like it. It's beautiful to paint on and I like the price too. Thanks so much and thank you for the recommendation. I find Schminke masking fluid is good too.
Another wonderful video, thank you so much. I did buy some Fabriano soft pressed paper, I find it so difficult to use! Even taped down it buckles so much. Any tips gratefully received!!!
The adjustment on the stain left from yellow edge was recovered beautifully. Would a diluted bleach applied softly on the paper work? Would it not make any difference? Or ruin anything other color placed on top be affected?

I so agree
Thanks so much Shelly. You always lift my mood. 🥰😘

Happy new year Amanda. Thanks so much. It's good to be back.
whaow fantastic !
Thank you. I when I try and use stringer pigment to water ratios I always end up disturbing that paint if I try and go over it. Still learning

Thanks so much Nalda. I didn't know that. Good to know. 🥰
I have had the exact same thing happen with the masking fluid! So frustrating, but can’t even tell in the final painting. Beautiful work as always.
Thanks very much Brenna.
Thank you Louise, beautiful video as always 🥰
You’re welcome Chiara. Thanks so much. 😊

Thank you Andrea. 🌸
Love this, just beautiful
Thank you!
How do you transfer your sketch/drawing consistently three times? Such great drawing skill❤
Thank you Robert. I use a line drawing that I trace onto my watercolour paper. I enlarge it to the size I need. Saves a lot of time.
I agree with you sir. I could do that, i even get tired when i couldnt finish 1 piece for so long.

Happy New Year Louise ... great video 😀
Thank you so much. Happy New Year to you too.
Another wonderful video, thank you so much. I did buy some Fabriano soft pressed paper, I find it so difficult to use! Even taped down it buckles so much. Any tips gratefully received!!!
Thank you Janet. I always stretch it first- soak it in water and staple it to the board. It stays flat then.
The adjustment on the stain left from yellow edge was recovered beautifully. Would a diluted bleach applied softly on the paper work? Would it not make any difference? Or ruin anything other color placed on top be affected?
Love the cockatoos, is it on patreon yet, I couldn't find it
