How to Download and Install Paint.NET

In this video, I show how to download and install Paint.NET. For many people, that might be obvious how to do it, but remember that not everyone is good with computers. I've gotten comments and even some friends needing my help to get Paint.NET. So I thought making a tutorial could be helpful!

i followed the exact steps but when i open the installer i shows me the "do you allow this app to make changes on this device" and when i click yes or no it gives me the little blue circle next to my mouse and thats it i have checked dowloads and desktop but nothing shows up

Which version are you trying to install? The free version from the website or the store version?
Also, you need at least Windows 10 I believe.

I'm very confused. After following the beginning steps, it says that it has a virus. I checked, the exact same link, same steps, but when I go to download, it says there's a virus. I didn't click on any of the fake ones (I triple-checked that I clicked the buttons just like shown here), but my chrome keeps saying "Virus detected". Now I'm wondering if there's something up with the new version.
Edit: I figured it might be due to my windows 11, because some people have also stated that the version of 5.01 doesn't work for windows 11. It seems like the older 4. version worked, but I do not have that version, so I'll have to find another graphic design platform unfortunately.

As long as it's the correct website and you're not clicking on any ads, it's all good
