If I hadn't been 6 years old then, I would have been there. This concert was definitely their best concert ever! Also, am I the only one who thinks the live version of this song is better than the recorded one?

But EPICA and Delain do not? For that past almost decade, EPICA has been THE standard for fem symphonic metal. Face it, Holland is just the motherland of fem symphonic metal. Finland is a distant 2nd and fastly falling to third behind Austria.

One of their best songs ever. This, Iron, The truth beneath the rose and What have you done are my favourite songs from them. I wish they would still make some songs like this. I mean I love their new trend and change is great, but they could mix a bit of each IMO. Hydra has nice songs too though but it just doesnt feel like WT all that much.

It's strange seeing members of the crowd *enjoy* this song. Since the subject matter is very much not enjoyment at all.
oh yes I totally understand. Still the song is about Winston Churchill and the protection of England during WWII. We will never know if it's true but I feel that with the lyrics they are kinda translating the feelings of the English and describing the deeper sence of Churchills speech. Cause Churchill said, We will fight them on the beaches, we will fight them in the air, we will never surrender. So with that I guess it brings more of a fighting spirit ^^
Have you ever listened to Iron Maiden Passiondale? :) If you enjoy this song you might enjoy that one too.
For me the song is about how there are "demons" that emerge from humanity, and they only thrived because when there were symptoms, it was not addressed. And disturbingly, you can see parallels happening today.
Things must be checked up on otherwise they will develop into holocaust.

The band are Dutch. The Netherlands were occupied by the Nazis. Britain were fighting the Nazis. As a result, the Netherlands think fondly of Britain.
oh yes that is certainly true. I know the band is Dutch, I know what happened in the Netherlands too. I am Dutch too and I am closer to the band members then you might realise. Still I find it interesting to see how different people can have different views on a songs lyrics. Still, no matter what it's about. In the end it's a fact that it's about England and Churchill, no doubt about it. The fact that England was unable to be taken and freed the Netherlands is a reason to feel some sort of victory energy. Besides that the song still has amazing music, vocals, lyrics and it's a great show. Even a song like Somewhere is enjoyable even though it's about death and grief.
You mean Britain. Using England is the same as using Holland.

No se porqie me encanta la banda sonora pero no ella! Siento que no me trasmite nada! Tarja con esta banda sonora detrás la haría pedazos, pero es opinión personal.. No se enojen. Igual me gusta pero no me encanta.
Escucho ambas..Tarja tiene una gran voz lirica.Sharon es mas versàtil.Su voz es angelical..Ambas son excelentes en sus estilos....

De hecho creo que within temptation encontró el horizonte, me ha encantado los últimos álbumes bastante años luz diferentes a lo que eran, e inclusive me gusta más Sharon en su música ahora que lo de Tarja actualmente.
