after seeing how many people just got layed off from cracked this ending was legit depressing.
I know that the chances are slim but I hope dan starts making those independently
Yeah looking back on it it’s pretty sad he knew the site was in trouble and was trying to help
Wait, did he get laid off, too? Who else got laid off from Cracked?
Maicey Throckmorton pretty much everyone. Im fairly sure that David Wong and Alex Schmidt are still working there
They maybe shoulda laid off the pathetic SJW propaganda a bit, I guess. Ah well.
His joke about Chili's giving them money became a lot less funny once it became announced that he and a bunch of other people have been laid off.
Daniel landed on his feet. He has been a writer for the John Oliver show since Aug 2018. He has won the Writers Guild award (as part of the team), and hopefully when the Emmys come back around the show gets Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series again.
@@meltaco1086 I did not know that! It's good he has got a good job and got recognition, I just miss him on UA-cam nonetheless.
haha, right? SPOILER: Chilis did not come up with the money.
I can't tell if this is supposed to be a crude joke. Talk about getting screwed over!
What about the beginning of Elf, starring Will Ferrell? Little baby Buddy is the ONLY baby in the orphanage run by really caring nuns. They're definitely going to notice that he's missing the next day! There must have been a panic attack, police searches, general chaos after he disappeared; they definitely thought that this innocent little baby was kidnapped and freaked out, and he was never found. Would the nun who puts him to bed get blamed for his disappearance?
cracked is dead
@@mitchhosman4229 You were, like, 2 years late...
One minor nitpick, there is no entrance fee for the Smithsonian, which is where the Captain America exhibit is.
Erin Cornelius yes, thank you. I checked the comments to see if anyone else caught that.
It's still a stolen piece of "history" exhibit.
@@the1onlyteagro - And if there was anything blocking people from entering the display that was broken, then that’s going to be expensive to replace. Anti-theft measures aren’t cheap.
At the same time though, this could also be a message that their nighttime patrols are lacking.
Also, and I haven't seen The Winter Soldier in a few years, I thought the reason for taking the old suit was because all the newer suits had tracking chips in them.
The reason he took the uniform because he left the one he was wearing when he chance in too civilian clouding. Remember he said "It you are going too fighte a war you need a uniform" has nothing to do with Bucky.
1:06 "Undeniable sexual tension between Cap and Bucky." Well good to know that Dan's been reading the fan fiction out there.
don't think you have to...
I disliked the vid for that line
Sidekick Sam - Aww, it's okay. You know this is a satire site, right? It's not cannon, so you don't have to have a homophobic meltdown
It's definitely there in the performance tho
I was watching Winter Soldier and Civil War and was like "fuck already you two!"
What about the cabbage guy in Avatar: The Last Airbender
have you watched Legend of Korra? Cabbage Corp is one of the largest multinational businesses in existence. Cabbage guy did alright for himself...
My Cabbage Corp!
Didn't he get a statue in Korra?
Lucy Love what movie? Also Myyy Cabagggessss!
CABBAGE GUY MADE IT INTO THE MOVIE?! Now I'm partially tempted to go watch it...
I miss you Dan and the After Hours cast..fucking cracked
"You'll help keep the site going", what an ominous statement now knowing that, a week later he was fired
Political Person what? Well, why am I watching Cracked anymore???
StarWarsomania good question
Truly is tragic, DOB is my favorite UA-cam comedian by far
Magic Dragon his new show is amazing compared to this
The main reason why I’m still subscribed to this channel is Daniel 😍😍😍
I also like that Daniel doesn't act like Twitter is his Safe Space, like some people do.
Same, but without hearts in my eyes.
We love you Daniel and #Chilis should sponsor you.
Why does that funko look like Dan? Is that a fucking Dan? I want a Dan, who's your plug I wanna get me a tiny DOB.
Haha I was thinking the same.
“Help keep the site going”? The site stopped going, so it sounds to me like if Chile’s had sponsored OPCD Cracked would still be around. Damnit Chile’s!
There goes the best damn show on UA-cam...
michael rojas there but by the grace of god
im confused what happened why'd he go away
Kevanique Burrows crack closed down their video production arm of their company, with little to no notice before it happened
His new show is 10 times better
Eee Rrrr what show?
Daniel talking about getting to make a girl laugh for 5 minutes was God damned cute
Alec Hardcastle insanely true for fellow awkward mother suckers that just wanna make people smile
It's goddamn true. But so is the opposite. Getting called a creep or douche for innocently trying to make a girl smile can be just as ruining of a day, as much as getting that smile would have brightened it.
Gay
He could make me smile anytime
FLAKO DA RULER what is this 2012?
#GetDOBfundedbyChilis
this needs more upvotes
and also to be #TT
Mitchell Barbee #OPCDchilis
Honestly though is cracked having money issues? I never thought abt it bc I always imagined them as a force of nature on the internet, but with there head editor stepping down (jack o'brien) them asking if people want to donate to them and/become a subscriber on their website for early content, and this? I know it's a joke but also?? Is cracked broke?
Mitchell Barbee how do I help fund opcd?
UA-cam ad revenue is not a stable source of revenue. That's why so many channels now have Patreon accounts to beg for money directly from their subscribers.
this is why to this day I've never stepped foot inside a Chili's, RIP in peace OPCD
Knowing that all of the video staff was fired by Cracked puts the end of this episode in tragic perspective.
The oldest mouse in history is Mr. Jangles from The Green Mile. It might still be alive.
Does wormtail count?
In the mouse circus, doin' tricks.
Yep...I buy into that 100%
Woody Would I was wondering if someone was gonna comment about him
This comment is underrated!
When I watched Mrs. Doubtfire, I always thought that Pierce Brosnan's character gets totally screwed. That character woyld normally be a jerk or hide something heinous, but in this case, his only mistake was being on the way of the main character.
He did insult Robin williams.
Yep, he's a way bigger victim than the bus driver who..."harmlessly"...flirts with his passengers? For a creepily long time, while not driving the bus? Yeah, I've had bus drivers hit on my when I'm just trying to get home, it f***ing sucks.
I felt bad for Robin Williams wife - he lied to her, he stole custody and only had to pull out this shit because he resfused to find a solution with her and the kids in real life.
It's just a movie, enjoy it or don't.
@@kgt_player1643 It's just a comment. Like it or don't.
I've worked jobs with people working Graveyard shifts. People get away with so many things working that shift, because they know Management will lose out on time and money looking for a replacement. So as much as Stan would get in shit, they'd probably keep him, because who else is gonna take that job?
So as devastated as I was when OPCD went dark, I hope it brings you guys as much happiness as it does me to know that old Deeny O' Beeny landed on his feet and is now a writer for Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.
In Mrs. Doubtfire I felt bad for the mom's boyfriend. He didn't cause their divorce. He was interested in Miranda and made an effort to get to know her kids and treated them with kindness and respect. He took them all on a fancy vacation, granted he had the money, but he wasn't some horrible character who was trying to get rid if the kids so he could bone the mom. He was a successful handsome man that Miranda could have possibly grown to care about and he accepted that she had 3 children with an irresponsible guy and he was still willing to take on that baggage and be a good male role model for them. And he almost went into anaphylactic shock due to the pepper allergy and Mrs. Doubtfire sneaking into the kitchen to ruin his meal by trying to poison him. Also I feel sorry for the restaurant employees who got in trouble for that. I never liked the bus driver. He was creepy in a doesn't stop when his advances are not encouraged kind of way.
Kinda like the mom's boyfriend in Liar Liar. Just a normal, wholesome guy that gets screwed over by the psycho Jim Carrey.
The mom's boyfriend was originally a wealthy client that just started hitting on her during a consultation she had for his properties. He talked over her and ignored anything she was saying. This was in her office during work hours.
MommyOfZoeAndLiam same!
The bus driver sort of reminds me of Charles Durning's character in "Tootsie," except that one gets some closure and learns the truth behind the object of his crush.
if Pierce Brosnan looked anything like Robin Williams no one would be championing for him. smh
who are these women who want their children to have no father and go on fancy vacations?
surely they could go on as many fancy vacations as they wanted with her high power career...
oh wait. She was a workaholic who unilaterally decided everything, including not going on fancy vacations
her pride swelled at seeing her little angels frogmarched up to do their homework and brush their teeth, (obedience is the key)
she never even talks to them.
we should feel bad for the dad; the movie is a genderbent indictment of inequal treatment born in homemaker vs. breadwinner co-parenting conflicts
he's basically the first wife from a bygone era of family justice casually(no fault)replaced with no supports or considerations.
if the movie was recast with a guy divorcing his wife because she couldn't keep a 'good' job and then he hooked up with some heiress the streets would run slick with the blood of men
The line where Robin Williams says God broke the mold is so true in real life about him
Was the Chili's bit at the end the last cry for help? Im so sorry Dan, i'd give all of the 100's of grand if I could, almost all of you who had to leave were the reason I've stuck around as a daily viewer/reader for the past 8 years ='(
There's no doubt you and everyone else will find your new places, but it's the family that was lost that really hurts, Cracked was like the coolest group of friends that you felt a part of even though you don't know any of us.
Be well and thank you for your years of tireless hard work and great humor.
I agree friend ..I watched these guys alot when I was in my barrack's I kept to my self and I was a lowly PFC and just didn't have friends ..so these guys I enjoyed hanging out with
Rewatching years later, gotta let you know he and soren have a podcast together, Quick Question. DOB now is a head writer for last week tonight and Soren is a writer for American dad, they're doing alright now
I can't believe this is the last OPCD. I'm so sad...
You can see his work in other places though. Daniel has been a writer for the John Oliver show since Aug 2018. He has won the Writers Guild award (as part of the team), and hopefully when the Emmys come back around the show gets Outstanding Writing for a Variety Series again.
the therapist in the first three terminator movies. From his perspective Serra is a troubled woman who reacts to him trying to protect her from two deluded mad men with guns, by embracing their delusions and assaulting him every time he tries to help her subsequently. Then seeing the T-1000's powers in action apparently resulted in him having a break down and never been fully confident in his own senses ever again.
But hay he had it coming for dismissing the time travel stories of a woman who stabbed him in the knee for no stated reason
255ad Who’s Serra?
255ad I love the way that you spell Sarah and will now be stealing it.
Picture him surviving Judgement Day, being rounded up by the terminators and sitting in one of the extermination camps. "She told me this was going to happen and I didn't believe her."
Now picture ALL the people she told this was going to happen.
@Uilliam Coorinna
in one of my favourite post-apocalyptic book series, Dies the Fire, a Montana based apocalyptic anti-technology cult manages to become a major religion in post “Change” North America by preaching what amounts to “We fucking told you so!”
apparently Serra is a Latino last name so google thought it was what I meant when I googled "Sarra name" to get the correct spelling of Sarah
I have a day off AND get an OPCD?! I must have done something right.
Could be that you're simply a lucky creature of some sort...
Solomon Twiggs LOL, well done.
In the future, there will be llamas.
Erwin Pommel LOL, yes. That is what the prophecy states. It shall be so.
Lucky Llama enjoy it. Its the last 1 youll ever get
Years later, I still can't completely get away from this show. I probably rewatch OPCD every six months or so. Love it, start to end.
Fun fact: in the book Stuart Little isn’t a mouse! He’s just a boy who happens to look exactly like a tiny anthropomorphic mouse.
What the absolute fuck?! That is not a fun fact! That is one of the craziest, creepiest things I have ever heard.
I like how at a the end of every episode DOB says bye like WTF you still doing here?
I'm sitting here thinking you were going to talk about Pierce Brosnan's character. LOL
@@Richard_Nickerson Tell me how a lonely man who’s innocently flirting with who he perceives to be a woman close to his age is creepy.
can we bring back dan and opcd? I rewatch through all of them every once in a while, and they still make me laugh and still have really good insight. I know it wont be through cracked, but I just like his content, I'll watch it anywhere
he's a writer on Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, now. killing it as usual
He also has a podcast called quick question with soren and Daniel (yes after hours soren)
@@torisinift did not know that! excited to listen :]
Thanks for the tip about Adoption at the Movies! My wife and I recently adopted our daughter and this is a great resource that I didn't know about.
OK how about Leonardo DiCaprio's fiance in Catch Me If You Can? Sure he's a charming rogue who the audience loves. But he actually had a huge engagement party with this woman, who thought her hard life would finally be better because of her marriage to a doctor/lawyer. And then it turns out it was all a lie and he runs off with a suitcase full of cash while being chased by the FBI. That probably ruined her life! And we never find out what happens to her!
Frosty The Glaceon but then again, he was a criminal wanted by the FBI who had basically lied to her nonstop soooo... I don't know why she should have acted any different
Stuart Little was written by E.B. White in the 1930s and 40s (published 1945), so setting the film in the 90s was a huge mistake. It also changes significantly from the source material by Stuart bring adopted -- in the book, he was born to the family (planning it even more deeply in the realm of fantasy).
He was also a mouse as a metaphor for children with disabilities, in the book, though for race in the film. The film is about transracial adoption, which I thought was pretty transparent. Heck, when I was six and reading the book in the Eighties, I thought the metaphor for children with disabilities was pretty transparent.
Stop! Your context might ruin lazily written jokes!
I was upset that there aren't any more episodes of this...then I saw that he's a writer for Last Week Tonight...so I'm slightly less upset
Just a heads up, if you're missing that DOB magic. Him and Soren, from After Hours, have a podcast called Quick Question with Soren and Dan. It's awesome!
Like john oliver kinda last week tonight
@@KS-xk2so thanks for letting us know!
For the record, Daniel always makes me laugh and smile :)
Daniel's tie is making me very uncomfortable.
OCD?
Isagail I didn't notice it until you mentioned it
Isagail fuck you pointed it out and now it's all I can see
Isagail just close your eyes and imagine pulling him close so you can adjust it for him...
Weak
I wouldn't worry too much about the night security guard from Winter Soldier, I heard he got a job as a Fed Ex delivery man.
I hate that this will be the last episode of OPCD.
I like the episode, but I will never get another new one, and that's really really sad. Goodbye, Cracked.
Ryan Terry This is news to me, and I sincerely hope you're joking. Why would this be the last episode? What happened?
Maicey Throckmorton Cracked laid off the majority of their most popular writers/video personalities. Look up Daniel O’Brien on twitter for more, but the only info you need on there is “formally cracked.com”
Ryan Terry Why would they do that? Are they trying to sabatoge themselves? Thanks for the info, I'll go check it out.
The last recorded episode, which is unaired, includes the line "I have so much fun making this show". Hearing that fact made me stare at the wall for a few minutes.
His new show is 10 times better
Omg your just the sweetest person. Your monologue about making a pretty girl smile at the end of a bad day is the cutest thing. Love this channel always makes me laugh and smile. People watching is my favorite.
New OPCD! Where the O'Brien Squad at?!
GravitySloth right here! woot woot!
PRESENT
WOOT WOOOT
He is the best
Here bitch!!
Why didn't the Little adopt a human AND Stuart, it's not like feeding the little guy would have been that expensive...
Undrave
Seriously, ya don't even have to buy wood chips... So what the hell, oddly fresh-faced Hugh Laurie and the chick from Beetlejuice who's name escapes me at the moment ?
What. The. Hell?
lol
Geena Davis is her name. She was also in Thelma and Louise.
More O'Brien and less whatever the hell else you guys slap together for shit's and giggles
Hard to believe this is the last episode.
What if the bus driver WAS married and was just a cheater?!
thinking the same thing lol, whats that say about us?
Lucky Llama You've actually made me feel a lot better by imagining him as a serial aldulterer!
His flirting seems way too awkward for that though.
lol if that were the situation then he dodged a bullet
I always thought the bus driver was a little creepy. It's been a while, but I thought he didn't take the hit that Mrs. Doubt fire wasn't interested and kept flirting when her interactions with him were minimal at best.
Hahaha honestly had a Chili's AD before this. Great video as always. Hope everyone has an amazing week!
I just rewatched this, the story of the bus driver is heart breaking.
You forgot “Ladybugs” the soccer movie starring Rodney Dangerfield
Cool Runnings. Can't forget Cool Runnings. No kids, but classic!
The Captain America costume was on display at the Smithsonian. It's shown in the movie.
The Smithsonian doesn't have entrance fees. It's funded by annual federal appropriations.
last OPCD, final words are “help keep the site going” 😕 here’s to bigger and better for everyone
There's actually a deleted scene from Mrs, Doubtfire where Robin Williams reveals to the bus driver that he actually is a man in a costume and even so the bus driver compliments him on pulling it off so well.
I am troubled by the implication that the bus driver was owed Mrs. Doubtfire's participation in unsolicited flirting. Especially since she was repeatedly trapped in an enclosed space with him.
Synde Ton he never implied that Mrs. Doubtfire owed the bus driver anything, he just said that it's probably depressing for him that not only was his flirting unwanted, but that the only person we see him show interest in wasn't even real in the first place. The only implication was that if it was just the two of them on the bus, why would Robin Williams have to keep up the charade instead of breaking character to stop the flirting. After all, we see him break character when he's getting his purse stolen. The flirting coming from the old man comes off as uncomfortable enough to sympathize with Robin Williams' character, but without getting creepy enough for us not to sympathize with the bus driver. We can see that he's trying to be sweet with his flirting, but we understand that it's an uncomfortable situation for Williams.
therealCrazyJake As a woman, I have been in situations where I know I am going to have to see the same person every time I use a particular service and that person won't pick up on my uncomfortable body language or the fact that I try to avoid more than one word answers. The reality is that the options are being blunt and risking them getting angry and considering you that rude bitch and treating you poorly from then on or staying stoic and hoping that they eventually leave you alone. I have tried both with varying results. To me, by framing the bus driver as the victim in this situation, is no different than supporting a cat-caller's right to impose themselves into the lives of passersby, only it's worse cause he the drive gets to hold her hostage each night. No matter how polite the bus driver is with his unwanted sexual overtures, they are unwanted and he is being unprofessional - he is not the victim just because he was hitting on a cross dresser. Also, cross dress are people and do exist. She wasn't a freakin hologram.
Synde Ton nobody said the bus driver was the victim!! Here's a thought, try putting yourself in someone else's shoes and consider how they might perceive something differently. The old man may not have picked up on his body language, and for obvious reasons: it's not as obvious as YOU think it is. This old man is just someone who didn't mean any harm by his words, but wasn't being appropriate given the situation. Considering that Robin Williams was wearing a body suit and a latex mask, he probably couldn't have picked up on certain nonverbal reactions. Remember that we only see the scene from Daniel Hillard's perspective, so we have no idea what it's like for the old man. The way I see it, he was being sincere with his words, but we as the audience are more aware of the uncomfortable circumstances.
therealCrazyJake the name of the video disagrees with you on the victim thing. And My entire point was that men should try to see it from the lady's point of view, so stop getting so up in arms please. Not meaning any harm is not the same as not doing anything wrong. It is no different from being stopped by those guys who think it's okay to tell women, "You should smile more. You'd be prettier if you smiled." Like the woman has an obligation to be pretty for him.
Synde Ton you're missing the point of Daniel's take on the scene. You can either look at the interaction with only the perspective given by the movie or you can look at it from both ends with a fuller understanding towards both parties, and simply chalk it up as a misunderstanding. Yes, the scene is intended to look from "a lady's perspective" as you say. Good job, you understand symbolism. But the scene is also supposed to act as a situational irony, because we know what's going on better than the side character in question. He could be a serial killer for all we know; he could be a sociopath with a long history of violence and sexism; he could be a real sleaze bag; however, for all we know, he could also be a quiet guy who just doesn't interact much outside of the occasional lone passenger (which, by the way, is common for any chauffeur or bus driver to do from time to time). When talking about any character on this list, all you can do is speculate what it's like on their end, because that's not what the movie is focused on. At the end of the day, we're both just talking about a side character that we can literally interpret however we want outside of the scene. Since he's not the main focus of the movie, we don't know his story, and we probably never will.
Daniel! We've missed you!
It's so sad to me that this last episode ends with a plea for money, even if it is a joke. It's like it might have kept going if Chillie's had sent them any amount of money.
Just came to remember what the sign off was... rough. Most of the staff is doing pretty well now, but wow.
I'm early and just wanted to say I wish you didn't stop Obsessive Pop Culture Discussion, please bring it back!
I 100% agree. I've had a hard time loving Cracked after they let that show die with a whimper. I would pay to just listen to Dan, Soren, and Maggie Mae chat all day. (Just cutting-and-pasting my reply from a similar post in the hopes that Dan and Company will see the support that show had)
I don't think "everyone" did that. I thought she was a great part of the crew.
Hi Daniel, I found your take on the bus driver very interesting!
From the very first time I watched the film as a young girl I always thought 'Mrs doubtfire is tired and just wants to go home yet this persistent man won't stop talking to her' and as I got older 'persistent' was replaced by 'creepy' as I thought it was pretty obvious Mrs D wasn't interested and wanted to be left alone.
Not that I think your take on it is wrong... I just find it really interesting that we saw the exact same interaction two VERY different ways.
When I saw Mrs D on the thumbnail I assumed the character you would talk about was the boyfriend... from my recollection he never did anything wrong but he was a threat to Robin Williams in terms of a more successful and good looking option for his (ex) wife. I'd have to rewatch it again to see if he was actually a nasty/rude/bad character (good excuse to rewatch a classic! Yay!)
For sure, I thought the same thing!! And you said it so well 😄
I wouldn't call it creepy, but definitely uncomfortable. The discomfort of the situation is something that is clearer to the audience, because we know what's going on, but the bus driver is clueless, so it's less clear that the person he's flirting with isn't comfortable. From the bus driver's perspective, he's speaking with someone who's polite and believes her to not be bothered by engaging in small talk. It's sincere enough to where you know he isn't trying to be a creep about it, but just creepy enough for the audience to sympathize with Daniel Hillard/Mrs. Doubtfire's situation. He's just an old man looking for love in all the wrong places. Also, I feel as though, Robin Williams could have just broke character and said "come on, man, I've had a long day, just drive, please."
I'm sorry, did you just refer to the main character of Mrs. Doubtfire as neither "Robin Williams" nor "Mrs. Doubtfire", each of them perfectly acceptable in any company, but by the character's actual name?
That's absurd.
I always thought it was a sly comment on how women are treated in public even though they are obviously uncomfortable/ not interested and how there is a power balance shift with him being the bus driver and it being only the two of them on the bus. You can tell he means well but it isn't done at an appropriate time causing the audience to feel a bit skeeved out
The only thing keeping me from agreeing with you is that the bus driver didn't get rebuffed... Mrs. Doubtfire could have chosen a seat further from the front, or told him "she" wasn't interested - in a relationship - just about anything...
Instead, "she" said nothing. In fact, the easiest thing for a disinterested Mrs. Doubtfire to do would have been to use "her" normal man voice and tell the guy it's a costume for a performance... Had Mrs. Doubtfire said or done anything to dissuade the bus driver then I'd be in total agreement with you... Otherwise, O'Brien's analysis rings true... And makes me more than a little sad...
(also, we live in a world where the guy is expected to pursue the girl - but the girl get's to set all the conditions: leave her alone unless she's interested, pay for everything if she is interested - or hasn't decided yet, don't make any moves but definitely be confident, just be yourself and friendly, but don't be too pushy... It seems like it's always a lose/lose situation. That's not to suggest that "no" isn't a perfectly good answer and should end the conversation - but it's really hard to know sometimes what the rules are)
I'm going to miss this channel
Probably not the best person to point this out but I’m coming to the conclusion that “flirting with strangers” is usually unwanted therefore a “sham”
James bond sure screwed a lot of side characters.
5:03 - 5:14 ....whoa, that was kinda brutal. makes me want to hug my wife.
...christ.
KandaPanda dude, hug her a lot every moment is precious.
Yeah, pretty close to home for some of us loners...
Yup, those 10 seconds described me perfectly as well.
i'm glad this show is still running after so long. feels like a lot of cracked bits kinda fall to the wayside after a while,, but this one is always really fun. i think you guys should harness the power of your enigmatic actors more often to your avail. people might click on your thumbnails for their clickhole-y pop culture titles, but i think they keep returning for your funny and bright personalities. daniel of course, but also a lot of the other writer/actors from the video crew.
Damn if there’s anything at all that can be done to bring this back and the after hours we need to do it
D.O.B: Talks about 90's sports underdoggo movies and you don't mention Cool Runnings?
I don't know how to process this.
GreatgoatonFire So what you’re saying is....Some people say - you know they can’t believe - DOB didn’t mention Cool Runnings.
Or what about Hardball with Keanu Reeves?
africanchick23 Hardball isn't 90s, missed it by 2 years.
Oh. What about You Got Served, Drumline, Stomp the Yard and Bring It On? Those all count as sports movies too.
srslynotironman :D You go get your palace! I see pride. I see power... 😆
Oh my god a new opcd! My day is made
I miss these guys
2M subs and no sponsors is just crazy, this is one of the best shows on youtube
I don't even know what Chili's is. I don't think we have them in my country. But god damn it, if they sponsor OPCD for my beloved DOB, I'll find them, and I'll buy them.
Chili's is a restaurant food chain.
Where the fuck do I get a DO'B Pop Figure?
Why do you assume that bus driver is single just because he's hitting on a customer? Or would have trouble finding available women his age? That man is (seemingly) still ambulatory and lucid enough to hold down a job. And not only does he still have his driver's license, he can drive a freaking bus, so his eyesight is holding up too? Are you kidding, that man is drowning in widows!
Holly Huffstutler and he can drive at night, too! Why does he need to hit on any one senior woman, he just needed to show up and he'd be swarmed by available ladies like piranhas on a cow carcass!
Can a company PLEASE sponsor cracked and this show specifically?? I miss the hell out of it and Cracked has been and still is without a doubt one of the best content producing websites on the internet. I applaud everyone who works there! Thank you
If you ever stop making this show, I will never use the internet again.
hmm... the show is cute, but you never using the internet again is a VERY tempting offer...
Looks like you're not using the Internet anymore. Cracked fired everyone
Awkward
No word if Daniel has been fired, and no word on if they canceled this show. Ya'll talk out of your ass so often, I wonder if anyone around you believes a single thing that comes out of your mouths.
usernamesareforidiot Better tell that to Dan who's been tweeting all day yesterday about being fired from Cracked.
Bring back Excessive Pop Culture Discussion
right? i loved that show when it was on. it was the best kind of internet pop culture news. I fucking miss the spit take too... too bad jack left
I 100% agree. I've had a hard time loving Cracked after they let that show die with a whimper. I would pay to just listen to Dan, Soren, and Maggie Mae chat all day.
Echobase121 Preach!
Surreal Cereal could not agree more
Everything DOB touches is gold. But he definitely does need someone to reign him in a bit, because he knows how good he is and can be a bit of a cocky d-bag. He's still my favorite... Oops
DOB is the best part of Cracked. Bring back obsessive pop culture discussion please. When it was running Tuesday was my favorite day.
Sandlot is - hands down - one of my favorite movies.
Your brief, but necessary aside is intensely appreciated. MORE OPCD!!!
I love DOB, but man it's super depressing to think that he can watch those bus driver scenes from Doubtfire and place himself so fully on the bus driver's side. Like, would you really not be uncomfortable if a stranger commented on your body hair? And openly stared at you instead of doing his job? It's true that Robin Williams' character didn't explicitly rebuff the driver's advances but Williams' character is clearly uncomfortable and not encouraging the flirting. When you're on a bus you are at the mercy of the driver so the driver has the power in this situation and he's making someone visibly uncomfortable by objectifying them. No, it's not sweet. No, it doesn't become cute just because he might be lonely.
Elizabeth Morgan or it could be possible that he places himself on both sides and only comments on the side that we don't see, because that was the whole point of the video.
Elizabeth Morgan or.....it’s the secret of his success. Comedy comes from pain, generally speaking. Of course he empathized with the bus driver, it’s an elderly version of what a socially awkward guy like DOB would align with.
I cant believe this channel only has 1m subs. You are often on trending and have so much great content!
the stuart little segment killed me I had to pause for 10 minutes just to laugh.
also WHERE CAN I GET A DANIEL JOSEPH NICHOLAS O'BRIEN FUNKO POP FIGURE? CRACKED MAKE THAT A THING!
So that wasn't a joke. He knew the site was going down the tubes and he was legit making a pitch to Chili's.
to be fair, i would have gotten the talking mouse too
Dude, seriously? Stuart is sentient and as intelligent as any other kid, why would he deserve any less than the others? Just becouse he is a mouse? I call that speciesism.
Tbh this monthly show is the main reason I subbed to cracked. It's pretty fuckin sick bro. 👌
The costume was in the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, part of the Smithsonian. The entrance is free -- no one pays to get in.
Cool, but that elderly security guard is still fired and never getting a job again.
No he's not fired. It's Stan Lee -- he can BUY the Smithsonian
He travels all over the galaxy and get's a lot of different jobs
He gets a job as a package delivery person in the next CA movie. He is doing fine.
he's also a freakin watcher informer... so yeah... human affairs doesn't affect him at all
Awwwwwww
A Daniel pop next to his favorite character Spiderman
The real victim of mrs doubtfire was a character portrayed by Pierce Brosnan. He was just some guy trying to Kindle a romance with this newly divorced single mother of three and he seemed to be a genuinely good guy who got along with all the family and had a really good job and meanwhile Robin Williams, the father, tries to breaks them up simply because.
As much as I love Robin Williams his character was not so great. He seems to show a not great work ethic constantly getting fired from jobs, dragging your kids outta school and putting yourself in debt so they can throw wild parties for his children.
Yes he may have loved his kids, but this does not excuse his several horrible choices or actions made throughout this movie.
Anigurl28 Miranda the (actress/his wife) loved him though wanted to give her husband, who she never stopped loving ANOTHER chance.
I like how when you were typing this message, your phone assumed the word "Kindle" was a pronoun and capitalized it for you.
Point taken but its just a movie and I think the underlying message was BOTH parents are important for different reasons. 🌸 Namaste
Much like the other guy in Liar Liar
I'm gonna miss this and you :( this was one of my favourite series on UA-cam.
RIP
that chili's outro was awfully poignant in retrospect
RIP
In the book Stuart Little. Stuart was a mouse like boy, born of the family he was in. They added the adoption story line, cause I guess they thought the original story was too weird. But seriously stuart little was never in an orphanage.
do you also use OB as your initials and drop the middle initial? My family does this.. didn't work out so well for my brother Sean though... lol...
If the museum was a Smithsonian (which is what I think it's supposed to be), then there was no entrance fee.
I really hope Cracked is ok and pulls itself back together. The last few years, watching Cravked has had a major positive effect on my life. This kind of well written and good content is what I hope we continue to see more of on a more regular basis, but I know it's hard because they require so much work
Great episode :). Lol. Cost no money! That's awesome
You do an amazing job and it stinks that your not banking lol. So much content out there! It's hard as shit to make it
Where did Obsessive Pop Culture Disorder Discussion go??
Wait...is that a Daniel O' Brian Funko Pop?
the bus driver, omg, im dying! lol thanks for that Daniel!
Dude. Did you have a blank doll painted to look like you & then PUT IT ON CAMERA?! Truly, you are the master of Neeeeeeerd!
where did he get that funko doll of himself?
I know right? I kept waiting for him to bring it up but he didn't.
i want to see Daniel eating Chili's Southwestern Eggrolls!
Mrs. Doubtfire seems to like the busdriver?!?! Where did you get that?!? She awkwardly gives an answer. She does not try to lead him on or suggest that she likes him. And this happens a lot to women. We try to give noncommital answers just so men don't hassle us.
Look at her! She turns her head away, her voice is meak, she clutches her bag more tightly to her chest. And you think that says she's into him?!? The next time she turns her whole body away from the driver and towards the window. Her body language is screaming that she just wants to be left alone!
Knowing Steve, he probably visited the museum later to formally apologise.
Also I love that your measure of success with women is making them smile and laugh. That's so lovely.
