maybe if you are a raid logger and do nothing but PVE as you generally make the money as you go along but pvp is not the same all the time you spend grinding pvp is wasted, you don't make money for being good at it or getting kills like you can in wrath you just unlock the privilege of buying stuff with gold you don't have after getting thousands of kills and making nothing from it, you need supplies, max professions for utility and gear options or you are at a disadvantage especially in 10-19 bracket vs premade max horde twinks that have a 25 min queue vs allys 1-3 mins because there are so many half the greens and loot or mats you get are worth less than a 6 slot bag costs to buy from vendor, ofc you don't need gold when you have 5+ max characters have already spent hundreds of gold and now there is nothing left to do, this video is just this guy trying to act philosophical and wise when he's probably spent more gold on his characters than any of us

I have 7 alts, working on my 8th now. As a classic 2019 and hardcore player that only played mage and warrior, I just enjoy the journey and have truly took to the theme of "discovery". I have enjoyed playing around with the new runes and different classes to explore and broaden my horizons and knowledge of each class. If Blizzard didn't cap the level at 25 and or shortened the phase, I don't think I; or many of us for that matter, would have had the time to do such discovery. There are a lot of runes I'm still missing but hey...I'm happy to only have 100 gold between all toons and look forward to new meta, quests, raids and more.

Today i did another raid on NA, lost the mage cloth helm on the roll. Bought it for 35 gold =) Maybe to much, but on what else to spend the gold, right? And the duo questing thingy is smart!

Some people have altidis but I struggle leveling any alt at all. I’m just too invested in my rent Paladin every second I’m not playing him I don’t feel as immersed
Have you played vanilla wow before? It depends on your goals, but if you want to parse and/or be bis geared @ 60, then it gets very, very expensive. Consumables and mats for Tier 3 loot are the most expensive examples. But we will see what happens.
Yeah try getting GDKPs on a server like Living Flame where you had people spam report GDKP adverts. It's been hell to make gold in this game due to alliance dominated servers making quests a pain as some will even camp Stonetalon Innkeepers. Open-world farms are gated to Alliance territories such as Gnoll, Worgen (Grave Moss in Duskwood) or Wetlands Orcs farms.
It's not the gold farm what's enjoyable, but the feeling you farming and looting mobs. I'm playing since 2006, and just playing lock nothing else. (Tried all the other classes, but the thing is, I only like lock, and want to play lock, nothing else). The other thing is I like farming, but what I don't like, that's the fact that there's no method with lock, you can mass-farm with. Just look all the massive farm videos, almost all of them are with mages....., and some of them with hunters. I can't find a video - mass farming with lock (because it's not recommended.) There are some videos, solo farm sfk, dm with lock, but that's it. The time that you need for the same killing count with lock compare to mage for example is insanely low. For example you killing 100 mobs with lock in a certain time, then if you are good, you can kill 500+ mobs with mage during that same time (only respawning slows you). That means, when you hard farming with mage for a lot of hours - for example you killed 2000 mobs, you can do max 400-500 mobs with lock during that same time. And that is just disappointing, because the same hours will disappear from your life, but the reward is just 1/4 - 1/5. Now you can say: just play a mage dude, and do the same. Also a nasty one, forcing people to play another classes, they don't want to. The game should support those people too, who are actually think about this game as an rpg, and only playing 1 character all along. And if that is the case, they shouldn't make these huge differences among classes for example in mob farming. They can easily ballance this with some runes if they want to, but my guess is they won't. So it's heartbreaking seeing those kind of farming videos, that how could you farm mobs, gold if you were a mage, etc. And you seeing these videos, because you like farming, and hoping to find some method you can implement, but in the end you won't. You can't even say, that lock can't do that, it's not a class made for that. But just look at wotlk for example - plenty of methods for mass farming even: seed of corruption, or dot-ing 20-30 mobs with corruption that is healing you, and finish them of with something (for ex: hellfire), and you can easily mass farm with these. There is no method near the same in classic, and probably won't be in SoD. Can't wait mage farming videos in ZFK, ZG..... later. :/

ive never played wow before and sod is my first experience i rolled feral and cleared it more than a month ago felt really easy , now its even more eaier due to all people being geared. it takes like 40min so give it a try. @@travistattoos

As a feral you can kill level 28-30 Hummanoids or undead. Try them for cloth and rare drops. If you got skinning you can try worgens in duskwood or raptors in the cave of Wetlands.
literally any phase is gonna have bis or prebis on AH for many characters, so you do need gold if you dont wanna spend whole phase farming 1 world drop bis

I've levelled 1 of every class incase i want to change main next phase, all I've done for gold is complete wetlands and stockades quests after hitting 25, takes a couple hours and its like 50g per character....i don't understand why you need any more than that tbh we are lvl 25 🤣🤣 sure if you get rich you can just buy all the best shit on the ah next phase but if you're doing that you're an idiot, you're just grinding boring tedious parts of a game to skip parts of the game that are enjoyable 🤣

Sounds like a good server. GDKP's are usually gold buyers with blue BoE's and trash everything else. Inflation ruins the game.
i spend more time watching videos on how to make gold than i do actually farming for it xD

How to make gold in Season of Discovery:
1) Mow someone's lawn for 10 bucks.
2) Buy all the gold you need with that 10 bucks.
If you don't have 10 bucks in your pocket. Maybe Season of discovery is not a priority :D

I've levelled 1 of every class incase i want to change main next phase, all I've done for gold is complete wetlands and stockades quests after hitting 25, takes a couple hours and its like 50g per character....i don't understand why you need any more than that tbh we are lvl 25 🤣🤣 sure if you get rich you can just buy all the best shit on the ah next phase but if you're doing that you're an idiot, you're just grinding boring tedious parts of a game to skip parts of the game that are enjoyable 🤣

well there is a need for Gold when GDKPs is taking full over(as they already have on my server) becuase its the "meta" and the only way for a pug to have a "RNG-less" loot system when a item drops and legit ruining the game with the gold demand and some people buying gold becuase of that demand
but WoW community Really have evolved into disliking the take on "GDKP is bad for the game" lately : on reddit i got heavy downvoted when i posted gold sellers has reached the kind of profit to start having youtube ads : i legit see one right now on this video and where do all that gold come from: Botters that even mass report real players and get them banned if they take theirs farming spots
how can people even support/defend this like WTF has happen?

its like the WoW equal to climate change deniers honestly and they only deny and is on the GDKP side of things becuase they are already within that GDKP eco system
and GDKP looks like some kind of pyramid/ponzi scheme within WOW or some kind of mefia: metagoblin´s videos about this with interviews from gold sellers and even former game master
also GDKPs makes the game VERY gatekeeping and its already happening over at SOD slowly like a example i have from my play time over a Wotlk:
imagine being preraid BIS minmaxed legit everything But GDKPs is everywhere there is no more non GDKP runs/guilds and everyone ask for a budget of like +50$ worth of gold(not even 50$ worth in gold from wow token but gold from 3rd party so its gonna be like +100$ for wow token) to join a raid OR already be near BIS raid to be a "carry" : legit a pyramid scheme kind of stuff right here
btw have being pre raid ICC BIS for 2 months and unable to find any runs/guilds/anything and looked legit everywhere
and judging by the trade chat SOD is already surpass over bad it is with GDKPs, Gold sellers/buyers, Botters compare to classic era (not reached Wotlk point yet but pretty close)
and farming gold is kinda out of the questing becuase of the bots that reports real players combined with they are teleport hacking to each mining/herb node : has often being 1 of the better ways to get gold but cant do that anymore
and combined with they are vendoring all Mats so making raid pots is also out of the questing becuase the prices on auction house is too high on materials becuase they are extra rare then they should be
so making a realistic gold/hour is not the same as alot of YT guides becuase of these issues and even if they was i would need to farm like +40 hours to join a single raid per week
and all of this is only becuase of how GDKP has become the "Meta"
how can anyone defend this kind of gatekeeping? and its gonna happen over at SoD and already is a problem on Classic era too

At one point on gehennas EU Wotlk, the gold seller used to organize the GDKPS =)
It was so bad that they started reporting other GDKPS organizers to get banned in chat.
That was the point when I quit wotlk. Now I'm back and i'm in a friendly guild. Morning Pump, best decision ever.

this looks like the most drama ever about loot compare to any other loot systems we ever has had
but honestly the solution is simple we need a RNG-Less loot system that can be pug friendly built in within the game: no addons/community made rules and Not including gold
and no way to farm/bot the whatever benefit to make you be able to get the loot from such a loot system
could honestly just be a DKP system but this time the Whole game for every players : but with a cap on how many points and a reset to them once a while: so non of those players who hoarding points : we seeing Guild DKPS when you just joined a guild where there is 1 guy who has gotten more point than what should be allowed and basically get all the loot before you and resetting the points and a cap could avoid that or when a raid/guild leader likes a person better than you they get more points: a automated system for the game wont be bias
when bidding on a loot with those points they are not getting tranfered to a player at all just complety removed from the system and ofc those points is fully soulbound
and those points you can only get by clearing a max level raid : so there is the "reward" for also joining a raid but you get 0 loot as is 1 of the exuses why GDKP runners defend this game ruining system
