As a young kid, Phil's excitement was the heart of the Giants for me. That moment he caught that Bavaro drop for a Super Bowl touchdown, and how excited he was, will live in my memory forever.
I'll never forget Phil's fearlessness and team spirit and my favorite memory of him was the TD he scored when he caught the dropped pass in the end zone to Bavaro during sb 21. His joy and enthusiasm was so pure in that moment. One of my favorite giants of all time.
My favorite player !! God i loved him !! i played tackle without pads in his jersey !! Loved to catch the ball like Phil !! and then run like my favorite back Earl Campbell ! Loved to hit people ! Hard !!
Great interview. I’m really digging the interviews on this channel, it is a great way to give the young fans an insight to the culture and mindset that shaped the legacy of the Giants of the old- bridge the gap between generations.
I like Phil, but I don’t believe he was a Navy SEAL. He was a Navy officer and flew helicopters during his 5 years of service. He doesn’t claim to be a SEAL in the video.
I don't think that he had any doubts playing football after being a Navy Seal. I know I wouldn't.. That is a tough training program they go through to become a Navy Seal..
Good old days when real men were allowed to play an honorable game who never did a day in jail, beat their girls or passed out in a sugar bowl of coke. Ohh well.

Giants fans appreciate the word Exuberance = Phil 😅
Great football player! He was not a Navy SEAL.
One of my all time favorites.
Great interview! He still gets me pumped up and I want to wave a towel just talking about his experience with the team and the games. Thanks🥳
He was a fan favorite. Great save off Bavaro's deflection.
once a giant fan always a giant fan
Give Parcels credit for Phil waving the towel.
80! Great player with an engine and a heart like Rudy!!
Please change the title, Phil himself said in the interview that he was a Navy Pilot
Correct. He was not a navy seal.
Phil is disrespected by the title. He would not approve.
Phil is strong, don't let him fool you! He's a beast!
Phil gave our Giants fire he had what is called supe- up- power's... really 1st class act he was..on the field & off..
Punt returner: if you can hang onto the ball 99% of time ...your going places 🏈
Not a SEAL. A helicopter pilot.

Couldnt stand Phil McConkey.all he knew how to do was call a fair catch.
Definitely not, he meant a lot to that team. Very clutch player and contributed greatly to team culture.
Don't think he was a Navy SEAL.
