Just had this same model Longines serviced after 8 years of continuous service. It was losing time and stopping before the advertised 48 hour power reserve interval. While my watch was no where as dirty and seemingly abused as the watch in this video shows, the service by a Longines service center was $450 and took about 10 weeks.
Watchmaker: "I've finished the restoration. From now on, I recommend not storing it in your cat's litter box."
