  • www.flycarpin.com - This is how you add an indestructible loop to the end of your fly line. This will allow you to add a tapered leader with a loop to loop handshake knot that will never fail on a big carp.

Nice video but if you don’t mind me saying, why not use the traditional heat shrink tubing method using a heat gun and physically weld the loop together followed up by this extra method of thread wrapping + superglue with a final resin coating. Not too sure if the added weight would be helpful with floating lines unless you wanted a sinking tip but then again the weight may not be an issue. Food for thought at least.

Looks great! Thanks for the idea. I have a question though. If you apply this on a floating line. Doesn't the UV resin affect the floating ability of the line?

Good idea! So what do you do with the leader in this case?

+Branko Stankovic 1.you get your leader make a loop 2.put the leader loop over the fly line loop that was made in this video
      3. get the leader line at the end where your fly will be, still keeping the leader loop held in place above the loop you made put that through then fly line loop and pull it tight .
i found it easier to explain in steps then tied your fly on and hopefully get some carp i think that's clear if u don't get it message back i might be able to explain so other way

Since your comment is a year old, you've probably figured it out by now or given up, but there is an easy way to get around the whip finish - and it does exactly the same thing. Simply make your last 4 or five wraps over a loop of thread or thin line. Cut the working thread and insert it into the loop while keeping pressure on everything between thumb and forefinger. Pull the loop out in one swift, smooth motion and trim the tag ends of the thread. Finish it the same way as in the video.

Ive never seen anyone fly fish for carp but i will say I caught one by while fishing for panfish in some tail waters below a dam I will say it was one hell of a fight. Carp have never interested me I only fish for what I eat so carp usually aren't my target I release any bass I catch the exception would be KY bass
