I haven't heard this in a long time, and looking back at it now, this sounds so Western like something out of Wild Arms. :p Got this confused for another one too, I think it was Game Breaker... Was this Walnut's Theme...? Man, it's been forever since I played this game...
I didn't mean plot wise, but i think he was far more interesting than the actual main characters... We can always dream... Almaz would be awesome, but for some reason, Raspberyl is the fan favourite, and Mao is the MC, so the Disgaea 3 spots for every game are prety much raken...
Well he was important yes, but seriously the story didn't give him much focus until the very last second. I mean, every time he was shown he did something notable, but he ultimately didn't get enough screen time to be a "real star of the show", IMO. I'm hoping Walnut sees some love in the voting because he is one of my favourite NIS characters, even if it seems very unlikely. Same with Almaz and Sapphire, but those I can actually see happening at some point.
I always considered Walnut's appearance in Soul Nomad and Castille's appearance in Makai Kingdom as ways of writing the characters off so that there was no reason for them to be in a Disgaea game. As for Sprout, ending aside, I don't think he was all that popular (or significant. Real star? Pfft). But hey, if everyone bands together and votes them in for DLC maybe your dreams will come true.
Perhaps you are right, and my hopes are lost, but i always dreamed of killing baal with an FULL HD more epic looking Psycho Burgundy... And as for sprout, come on! he was important! but more than that he was on par (or slightly) behind of walnut in terms of pure badassness! I doubt anyone would, they are not even well known, and they are from old games, if they haven't been voted by know, they never will, though i still have some hopes for Revya in a future game, i mean, to fight alongside gig.
I don't get why Marona and Ash get to appear in disgaea, while the real stars of the show, Walnut/Endorph and Sprout haven't ever appeared in any other game...
