@@khgirl8588 no it’s actually true what they’re saying. Starship already knew the final line up, so a lot of things from no mercy are staged and scripted. Back then a lot of viewers boycotted Monsta X even tho it’s not their fault.

I know omg he completely nailed it! And I felt like that one judge completely misinterpreted the whole being “rushed” thing. To me it felt like it fit perfectly with the song because it is about pleading someone not to leave so of course it would sound “rushed”. Sure it could be seen as a flaw but it made it more heart wrenching

I think the judge did what he was supposed to do. If they only gave good feedback the performer won't be able to fix there flaws cause they wont know them.
@@hannahharris5461 I'm fine with constructed criticism but if you watch jonghyun singing it he sings with a rushed desperation also. Jonghyun was also singing in agony. Remember not all judges know every idols song. The song is supposed to be longing and desperation. A lot of the time the judges dont even know certain songs. If you listen to jonghyun singing it is rushed so it makes it seem like it shows desperation. Not all judges know what there talking about either. Everyone has different opinions on singing. So we have the right to also criticize his opinions.

although what happened to #gun happens to a majority of people, I felt really moved by his story. I was nearly in tears when he rapped those words with so much soul and passion, he was honestly the best and even though I know the outcome I hope he made a name for himself.

Kihyun and gun really made me cry like Kihyuns performance i could tell he was really nervous but it was still so good and it had a lot of passion in it and same for gun especially with his backstory about his family i feel like he shouldve debuted along with them

Bobby?! Seriously?! They are too different. I like Kimbob too but his raps are more on energetic and hyper. #Gun on the other hand is more on emotional and really more on feelings like Mino or Iron (SMTM3). I would even say it's like RapMon (BTS) at some point. Olltii also have same rap style like him. But not Bobby, I've watch Bobby from WIN to SMTM3 to M&M but I never see any comparison. They are very current is rap style. Like Mad Clown said #Gun style is more on old fashioned rap which by the way I always prefer.

Ka Nills lichee32 -For me, what Mad Clown means about old rap style, it's the cadency, armony and rithm of each line. Like, when Gun started, was almost a conversation, that's something modern -raps that sound like a monologue, without cadency , a example is the beginning of Mad Clown's"without you" - Then, Gun's song have a rithm: "# to the G," and more, that 1; 2; 1-2-3-4 rithm... That formule of rithm, it's a little old.. like GD, Wings, Vasco, Beenzino when they just started.And at the end, that final what is : one line, 4 - 6 beats of music, one line, music, and like that also is old style. A new style is finals with a very strong, fast and angry o emotional monologue, like Bobby, BI, Wasta Wu o Mithra raps. Sorry bad english, but i hope i can explain a little what Mad Clown sais..

Even though Monsta X is just about my favorite group ever to exist, I still somewhat wish Sharp Gun had made it through. His lyrics were always so powerful
I think he is a solo artist now? He has two or three mv out on UA-cam (just search for #gun kpop)
I think Starship made the right decision though. I really wish #GUN debuted as well but with 3 rappers I feel it would just not mesh well together. Things happen for a reason, and surprisingly Starship actually made the best decision in the long run because Monsta X’s strongest point has ALWAYS been the synergy between Jooheon and Changkyun, along with their phenomenal and powerful live performances. On the other hand we can’t really say whether they’d be as successful or not with #GUN but Monsta X did struggle quite even then so who knows.
Truly #GUN not debuting in the group was so sad, when I was watching this in 2014, throughout the show I always had this sort of hope that he would debut with Jooheon. Somehow I felt like those two belonged together no matter what, they had so much chemistry. Also not disregarding the fact that #GUN never failed to impress with his rap and lyrics.
And it was at that moment, when I finished Kihyun's performance with a bunch of tissues around me more than a year ago, that I was totally confident Kihyun would make the final lineup. I DIDN'T CRY FOR NOTHIN.

WONHO - He also made it to the finals and debut in Monsta X as the visual, lead Vocalist and lead dancer. Unfortunately on the 31st of October 2019 he got into a drug scandal and left the group. As of March 14th 2020 he has been cleared of all charges. On the 9th April 2020 he signed with Highline entertainment as a soloist and producer. He has since debut with mini album "part. 1 Love Synonym".
Minhyuk - He made the final and is now apart of Monsta X as the sub Vocalist and visual.
Kihyun - He made the final and is now apart of Monsta X as the main Vocalist.
Hyungwon - He also made it to the finals and debut in Monsta X as the visual, center, sub rapper, sub Vocalist and lead dancer.
Jooheon - Jooheon also made it to the finals and debut in Monsta X as the main Rapper and sub Vocalist. He has changed his stage name from JOOHEON to JOOHONEY.
Changkyun (I.M) - He joined the show a lot later on. I.M made it to the finals and debut in Monsta X as the lead rapper, sub Vocalist and Maknae of Monsta X.
Seokwon - Unfortunately he didn't make the cut to debut. After he left Seokwon joined the military to do his enlistment, after he got back he started dancing again, there hasn't been any new information on him. His Instagram is 'choiseokone1'
#GUN - GUN didn't make it into the group. After he left GUN took part in 'Show me the money 5' where he was eliminated. Since then he has released many songs solo such as 'beep' 'Red Light' and 'Park'. His Instagram is 'sharp_gun_94'
Yoonho - Yoonho also did not make it to the group but as of February 2017 he debuted in VAV as the main Rapper, main dancer, sub Vocalist and visual. He has also changed his stage name to 'Ayno'.
Minkyun - Minkyun didn't make it into the group. After he left he went back to training and on 3rd August 2017 he debuted in ONF, he is the lead Vocalist and sub rapper.
Yoosu - Yoosu also didn't make into the group. Since he left there has been no updates on him although is does post regularly on his Instagram which is 'yoo_soooo'
Kwangji - Kwangji didn't make it to the group and has since been on the down low. He posts occasionally on his Instagram which is 'kz1993_'
He makes music but hasn't released anything so far
Thank you for making a recent update on everyone! Although most people are monbebes watching this for Monsta X I was really curious to know the eliminated trainees are doing and I’m glad they seem to be even somewhat active still.
I think Seokwon is supposed to debut in early 2021 in the group CIIPHER :3

I fall in love with monsta x first before watching #NOMERCY and I think Hyungwon is not that useless as everyone said, his voice is good enough, he will grow with time, same with minhyuk. As in #GUN his style is not idol style at all eventhough he got the personality and variety skill, he's better going solo, I could imagine him releasing mixtapes in the future, best luck for him

Mad Clown, there's nothing wrong using an "old fashion" style of rapping. You have your own style, #GUN has his own too. You should not impose your liking of style to his. It's not necessary for raps to be "modern" as long as he could reach the audience heart with his rapping. Seriously WTF -.- His rap has heart and has content. You only see technique. Don't you?

Mad Clowns opinion was completely biased and therefore invalid, he went into the judging disliking #Gun's style and favoring Jooheon's (Jooheon isnt in the wrong here). Gun's performance pulled on my heartstrings. I love Jooheon but the emotion Gun put in was amazing. Lol at the guy saying it was old fashioned. Does he not know who Eminem is ? He puts his emotions into words just like Gun did. That's was extremely amazing and if anyone can update me on what he's doing right now I would love to follow him. +btsgotexo1277 xx he is still with starship, released a mixtape and mv called reload a few months ago, and he is on smtm5, already passed the first step, the bad news is this guy who said his rap is old is a judge in smtm5 too..i really dont like that judge. Gun also released two other mixtapes called #94, and umm, you can find those on youtube or his soundcloud.I highly recommend the 'umm'. plus you can follow him on soundcloud and instagram.. i hope he makes it big this year, he truly deserves a lot.
