I'm over here as a Rattigan defender. He's clearly on the spectrum, and loses his last grasp of trust in humanity, while at the sametime becoming disillusioned with alien life, yet still, he sees the need to sacrifice himself not to save the world, but to save The Doctor
How about Warwick Davis as Emperor Ludens Nimrod Kendrick Cord Longstaff XLI, aka Porridge in Nightmare in Silver? I think he definitely deserves to be on this list.
I'm surprised "Midnight" isn't mentioned on this list. That episode was really good. With not much cgi involved and it was an episode mostly recorded in a small room. Planet of the dead, Lee Evans cracked me up in that 😂 Daniel Kaluuya was in that as well but not that big of a character to be on this list
I know there are never honorable mentions but Shakespeare, Dickens (although those two might be personal preferences) The doctor's daughter, Robin Hood, Madame de pompadore (apologizes for the mangling of her spelling) At the very least honorable mentions or I'd place them over others actually
Tony Curran actually makes you believe he IS Vincent Van Goch. And it is my very favorite David Tennant episode. maybe even my favorite of the reboot era itself. the story is has a rich fullness to it, not like some that leave you with that WHAT feeling at the end.
In the doctor's wife, I felt quite sad as idris's body faded away and the final words the tardis said to the doctor was "i love you" mainly because I missed it the first few times.
I thought Michelle Ryan, who was great in David's first Christmas Special, would've been in the top 2, if not #1! But squeezed out of the Top 10 altogether? No way!
Great list. I agree with it except for Razor. Razor shouldn't be on the list as it is the Master pretending to be someone else. If it had been a different character Simm played that would be fine but the character was just the master. If Razor counts as a one episode character would the War Doctor be on this list as well. Or what about Billie Piper as the Moment?
Ahem, are we forgetting Jenny, the doctors daughter played by Georgina Moffett in the episode Daughter or Lady Christina played by Michele Ryan in Plane Of The Dead? Both had amazing screen presence that dominated their respective episodes, how good would it be to have both in one episode? Both would also have to come back sooner or later, how could they not and frankly, both would have made amazing female doctors, especially Michele Ryan. They certainly would have been a better pick than the nothing sort of character that they settled for. Something else that would have been pretty amazing, especially if they went with a couple of more capable Doctor Who companions for a while, would be if the two companions were Lady Christina and Captakn Jack Harkness. Imagine what a blast those two would be, especially if Jenny was a third companion. Oh well, one can only hope.
Van Gogh appeared in The Pandorica Opens as well, he does NOT belong on this list. Georgia Moffatt as the Doctor's Daughter SHOULD have got a mention. These are actually tragic oversights, as Georgia lost her spot to someone who didn't belong.
What about Nikola Tesla this season and Winston Churchill and also Adelaide Brooke, I personaly loved thiw characters. The eisode with Vincent is propably my favorite historical episode.
You've missed the point. On the real police boxes the tardis design is based on, the doors open outward. Hence she says "police box doors open out the way". Even in The Pilot, Bill points out the fact the Tardis has "hidden itself as a box with 'pull to enter' on the front".
I thought that the actor who played Vincent was amazing and he actually came across as someone with demons
Cameron Mcgregor love that episode. It makes me cry every time.

Planet of the dead, Lee Evans cracked me up in that 😂
Daniel Kaluuya was in that as well but not that big of a character to be on this list
😠 Oh great, no warning. I hadn't seen that episode with Razor. Now I already know the ending, thanks!
I know there are never honorable mentions but Shakespeare, Dickens (although those two might be personal preferences) The doctor's daughter, Robin Hood, Madame de pompadore (apologizes for the mangling of her spelling) At the very least honorable mentions or I'd place them over others actually
How does he never run out of ideas?
With a name like Nick Frost, it would be impossible not to play Santa Claus at least once in a lifetime
I used to think Simon Pegg, John Simm, and Michael Sheen were the same person.
It physically hurt me that Jeremy Baines wasn’t on here. He’s number 1 in my book
He was in 2 episodes though, therefore doesn't qualify for this list.
Joe Grohl I guess technically yeah. In my head I sort of count a two parter as one episode since it’s the same story.
Vincent was also in the pandorica opens
I thought Michelle Ryan, who was great in David's first Christmas Special, would've been in the top 2, if not #1! But squeezed out of the Top 10 altogether? No way!
No Perkins?
Didn't Vincent Van Gogh appear in the opening scene of "The Pandorica Opens", as well?
simon pegg and nick frost are my favourite actors by far
My favourite, from Nu Who, is Doctor Moon.
I like him too
So I know he is just the doctor in human form, and he was played by David Tennant, but I think that John smith was an amazing one-off character
the pronunciation is with both g's as if youre hocking phlem in the back of your thoat, he was dutch
Vincent Van Gogh appeared in the pandorica opens too
For classic Who, i’d pick Brian Blessed’s King Yrcanos as my favorite one story character.
Vincent actually was in the wedding of river song
Everyone forgets that Simon pegg played in a nightmare in silver
not as santa though
Suranne Jones should be the permanent TARDIS-Interface for Doctor Who.
Wasn’t Terrence Hardiman in one of the episodes?
I was about to protest Vincent not being number one......then Sally showed up there. Happiness.
A worthy #1
Sally Sparrow should have been a permanent companion!!
Tony Curran in this role is number one on my list of most perfect casting choice of all time
I'm sure van gogh was in two episodes. Where in the second episode, he has gone totally mad and painted a picture of the tardis blowing up.
Van Gogh appeared in The Pandorica Opens as well, he does NOT belong on this list.
Georgia Moffatt as the Doctor's Daughter SHOULD have got a mention.
These are actually tragic oversights, as Georgia lost her spot to someone who didn't belong.
where is council kez??
I would've actually liked Morrisey as the 13th Doctor tbh
Dream lord is my favourite !
Funnily enough, Tony Curran actually kind of looks like Vincent Van Gogh normally.
What about Nikola Tesla this season and Winston Churchill and also Adelaide Brooke, I personaly loved thiw characters. The eisode with Vincent is propably my favorite historical episode.
Churchill doesn't qualify for this list as he appeared in 4 episodes.

*spit intensifies*
vincent was in two. the pandorica opens
The thing is, Idris is wrong. Only the telephone panel opens "out the way". The main doors have always opened inwards.
You've missed the point. On the real police boxes the tardis design is based on, the doors open outward. Hence she says "police box doors open out the way".
Even in The Pilot, Bill points out the fact the Tardis has "hidden itself as a box with 'pull to enter' on the front".
Sally Sparrow was originally meant to be Martha's replacement in series 4 but unfortunately it was just not meant to be.
One of these days this channel will talk about Classic Who stories and not exclusively NuWho...
They talk about the one that gets them the most views. lol
DiamondFire normies like your good self then lmao.
@@DanTheMan2150AD they're a content farm
True Who fans know that Duggan belongs at the top of this list:) We don't need a content mill to verify that.
Astrid Peth or Adelaide Brooke?
Ahhh fuck I cry like a bitch at Vincent and the doctor every time
