This is the model I have. Mahogany may be one of the more "ordinary" tonewoods, but in many ways it's my favorite. I have kind of an unusual relationship with my RC GT, though. As soon as I got it I loved the sound, and there was nothing derogatory to say about the quality of either its design or its construction. Mr. Romero knows his craft, and the shop that builds these instruments does an unbelievably good job on them. For some reason, though, I never really moved beyond "meh" about the feel under the left hand, but I gave it time. Then, on a whim, I put a set of RC's "Baby Baritone" strings on it, and *_WOW,_* instantly it was a fantastic short-scale baritone. It has a completely different tone from my Kanile'a Premium koa baritone, but I think I actually prefer the RC for vocal accompaniment and playing in a duo with a smaller conventional uke (whereas the Kanile'a really comes into its own in larger ensembles or when playing with guitars.) The RC is the quintessential mahogany uke, but with (I think) a little more resonance than usual. I enjoy it immensely. Props to Romero Creations, and thanks to ULTP for turning me on to them.
Anything by Romero Creations is audio artistry . . . Great presentation of an awesome instrument, your finger style playing Terry is just fantastic.
This ukulele sounds amazing!
