2 reason I can think off that is on zos side to fix. 1, poor server performance means people need to build extra buffer so no to die immediately after spikes and desync. 2, when you have a class like nb that can 2 tab you from stealth then it means you need to build minimum of 32k hp. And if you are facing the IC vamp onslaught, arte burst ganker you will need minimum 36k. Is the game thats driving people into high hp meta or otherwise you will not live long enough to even enjoy the fight a little.

It's because of the add on "find squishy" or so it's called. No one want's to be low hanging fruit and targeted first, so they jack up health so those add on users will go pester someone else instead.
yeah I notice when I'm on a speedy bowcro with low resists players in cyro will literally run through 10 other opponents to target me in the back. That add on is a cheesy crutch. I usually get away and it's funny but the amount of people chasing me around and ignoring everyone else is crazy...also dodging all ranged attacks even if they're in a zerg. Go miats cheese or whatever they're using. 😂
The funny thing is that this high health tank Meta is why I am mostly playing my night blade because besides sorc its the only class putting a dent on these tanky specs People keep building tankier to avoid getting gangked and gankers. Keep building more damage to keep ganking. It's a revolving door
Hate to say it, because damage doesn't scale well enough. I have multiple builds with 6k wpn damage 20k before balorgh proc, doesn't hit for anything anymore on my nightblade. It's been overturned too much now. People complained so much about getting ganked. Cyro and BGs are boxing rings, never let your guard down, my whole build is burst for fmthe first 10 seconds of battle then retreat and wait for perfect enemy. Or build tank and never kill shit but fight everyone, we need back the old days of tele strike, uppercut

I used to be logged in EVERY chance i got and played for multiple hours a day (on weekends from the time i woke up till i went to bed) now...... i go on for MAYBE 20 mins to an hour max then the ball groups show up so i just exit the game and go play something else

Is not about the dying but the way you go out. As vid mention getting stealth ganked and dying is real annoying so by default you need 32k just to avoid that situation. Now that you are 32k and most likely not a ganker yourself you are left with 2 to 6ppl groups that run you over. So then you are left with doing 3 swift with 36k running Wretched vitality and humping rocks and towers. Lastly is the server performance going down hill every year. Any lag spikes or desync is insta death so naturally people just add more hp as buffer....... Look now you are into the 38 to 40k hp... Lol
This no finger gankers are the Problem. If u run with 30k hp, 2 gankers can kill u. And there a lot of this cu*** out there atm … ppl wanna fight, not get ganked every 2 mins.
One thing no one talks about is shields are broken af. 9 of the same hots annoying sure but all groups have 60k+ barrier shields on them at all times too
I agree. Sad to burst on any class other than nb and watch a sorc not only hit 2 buttons that give them 30k shields but heal simultaneously with those shields.
I'll be honest man. I really think they should put a cap on both health and resist in pvp. Or ya know... do something to prevent this super tanky meta we have right now. I fought with a DK in Cyrodiil for over an hour a few weeks ago and we eventually both just gave up and went our separate ways... an hour... thats like a vet trial with just two people. I was using your sorc build btw.
A way to fix this for zos would be to make it so the higher you stack health past let’s say 30k the lower your weapon and spell damage. Essentially rendering you an actual tank if you choose to scale your health up
That will have a huuuuge impact on wardens and pvp healers in general, pretty much crippling solo healers and totally killing off warden, and further making it impossible to pvp without being in a ballgroup

I see a lot of comments saying players are afraid to die so they build tanky. What about gankers trying to kill you and flee? Or bow proc builds shooting from range? Those want to die? Are those pvping? Now the cloak is changing and a lot of NBs are desperate. Well, they have to die too right? I am against the tank meta but gankers are not better in the sense they are not build to engage in combat either. Specially those bow procs and range sorcs. I dont want the ganking style removed from the game but you all must understand that players are not there to be ganked. They will build to survive and have a chance to attack. This is just a natural thing to do if you want to be competitive.
Ganking has its place with anti siege and flanking enemies and to target one play style is wrong and as u said there a plenty of other ranged style ganks on other classes will these be addressed also ?
Wrong. Its Zenimax's complete mismanagement of the game. Primary issue is the lag. All mechanics in game stem from that. In PvP. The horrendous Proc sets introduced and rocketing power creep are all symptoms of this lag issue. Which force people to aim for Caps on HP and resistances. Case in point. I saw a Stam Nightblade with 46k hp in Cryodiil. You have fkin DD's using 62 point into Health. Its bull shit! That's why so many people. Content creators and streamers quit.

The nightblade you saw with 50k health or whatever; put his points into health because he's more than likely wearing medium and has all the weapon dmg his proc set needs to kill anybody. The stamina stat has become even more obsolete (then it was before) because he's getting his damage from his crit, weapon damage, and proc sets, which solely scale on those modifiers. Hence, again, hybridization has butt fucked the game. And the meta humpers who paid money to swapp to khajit years ago and put on proc like tarnished and other bs are aiding in that butt fucking. The hybridization meta logos is high health and free damage essentially. Blaming the devs for how the players are spending their money is slightly unjustified though and shows a lack of accountability from your perspective.

When you're strolling through pvp and are suddenly stunned with a 9k incap followed by a 14k merciless resolve and 3k tarnished without the chance of a cc break in time to mitigate damage, why would you not stack health?
Also id like to add, a bigger issue than high health is the culture of running away. I was in a duo with this dude and we were attacking a DC Zerg. It was insane the amount of DC players that ether didn't engage or would sprint all the way to the other side of the keep the second they took any damage.
ZoS needs to add cc immunity to pull sets like RoA, prevent people stacking multiple dmg proc sets like they did with a few sets a couple of years ago(only allow 1 proc dmg set to fire off in a second or two). Put a cap on high health and tank builds or create penalties on those kind of builds for example nerf dmg and healing by a certain amount for every 1k health/resistances your over the cap. Yes I've played solo, small scale and zerging. Even I'm fed up with the way pvp is including the pull bomb meta even though I play like that in groups. It's stale AF.
i think you're getting more arcanists, sorcs and wardens (and more necros) that have their big heals that scale off health instead of scaling off their offensive stats. That and the dot meta, if you can pop on heavy gear, stack health and grind people down with dots then all that matters is health. that's where NB and Sorcs should have been able to come in and blow up the tanks but now we got the NB nerf :shrug:

It's not just undeath. This BS started with CP 2.0. They've nerfed mitigation since then so you must have higher health to try to compensate but it's still not enough. The devs have no idea what they're doing. We have never been less tanky in eso Ever.
They should not cap health. Building into health comes with a downside. Those players sacrifice offense and if they want to do that, fine. Some of us sacrifice defense and survivability for more offense, but the devs have been nerfing offense. They recently nerfed tarnished to prove my point. They need to stop doing this as all these builds whether very offensive or very defensive, have a downside. There’s always a trade off. They need to buff offensive sets. I’m still waiting for them to bring Storm Master back to pvp.

People have been 40k & over since I joined pc... Which is coming up to a year now! Rare occasion you see people less than 40k hp so wasn't undeath nerf at all & swear people just blame tarnished for everything it didn't even exist at that point.. It was sets like way of fire, Winterborne, shell splitter, flame blossom, Red mountain & anthelmir's construct or balorgh with vate weapons. I don't play builds like this ever but I just watched like 5 videos after this one so I don't know why people just blame tarnished for everything? One of them videos was yours aswel tbh mate.. The problem was cloak not tarnished or undeath & they have finally made a step towards fixing it.

They just need to rework armors in the game and end the heavy armor meta thats been the last 5 years. Also rework races so the races with free damage aren't the best at absolutely everything except nords Example 258 weapon and spell damage about 12% more healing.....is better than 6% more healing done by Argonians which is the only class with a healing passive and it's not even in the top 6 for effective healers ....and half the other racials like that are horrible for other races as well Nord,dark elf, orc, high elf, imperial are by far the best races in the game Races like Red guard, Wood elf, and Argonian need buffs or some way to get temporary weapons and spell damage by drinking a potion for a time period. These races are the best at absolutely nothing which shows how lazy and dumb the racials are in this game. Game would honestly be way more balanced if they just entirely removed them other than the extremely minor ones like swimming speed and movement speed etc

2016 for me was the best of eso's pvp .... we had SOME lag... but nothing compared to now. And that was filled with MASSIVE faction fights

They just need to rework armors in the game and end the heavy armor meta thats been the last 5 years.
Also rework races so the races with free damage aren't the best at absolutely everything except nords
Example 258 weapon and spell damage about 12% more healing.....is better than 6% more healing done by Argonians which is the only class with a healing passive and it's not even in the top 6 for effective healers ....and half the other racials like that are horrible for other races as well
Nord,dark elf, orc, high elf, imperial are by far the best races in the game
Races like
Red guard, Wood elf, and Argonian need buffs or some way to get temporary weapons and spell damage by drinking a potion for a time period. These races are the best at absolutely nothing which shows how lazy and dumb the racials are in this game.
Game would honestly be way more balanced if they just entirely removed them other than the extremely minor ones like swimming speed and movement speed etc
I disagree argonian has very specific playstyles that make it very strong and poison / disease resistance actually really nice vs nbs
Stop crying people. Pvp should be nerfed to the ground when it comes to health and gear. Pvp should be all about player vs player and not health and gear vs health and gear. Get good instead of hiding behind health and gear

@@projectjtl health is an issue yes but not the biggest. Its all the defensive gear with crazy heals and debuffs. Where is the player vs player today? No where to be found except if you come a cross an old school player. Pvp is not pvp anymore. Been playing pvp for years and year in different games but eso pvp takes the cake. Everyone are so afraid of getting damaged and die its hilarious. Also these fony ball groups man wtf is that? Lesser players that need a group to be able to kill something 🤦♂️
All these « chase me » « I run around towers litteraly doing nothing » build are legit driving my sanity to it’s end. Ganking is part of the game and people need to play around it, not build around it. It’s not a tower defense…
