The area where you picked a chapter was just a homogeneous and boring start that simply dropped you on the zone and left it at that. Originally when you had a chapter like elsewyr, you'd have a unique intro to the story and it felt much more organic. When they said you'd get to pick your starting chapter we thought we'd pick the intro, but completely missed what was fun about making a new toon for a new chapter. The tower intro sucks and really removed you from wherever you were going, ironically.

honestly I am happy they expended those scribing options, like it was just bad design to have classes that REALLY want you to be using a specific damage type (especially with the current Piercing Cold) and just not allowing them to play with these new shiny toys.
@puertoricanpapi1356 it's a useless change. The taunt is irrelevant because you'll still have to use pierce to apply maj/min breach. The interrupt gap closer was way more useful for situations like Red Petal Bastion final boss hm.
What I'd like to see is a variety of combat and healing pet classes that would be cool. Also make scribing into a point system where points can be allotted to different functions of the casting. Range, damage, healing, duration and aesthetics.
Imagine if they added Oblivion gates through some type of new quest or instanced zone where it would essentially be a battleground where players can have duels or deathmatches, but there are also mobs and traps, sort of like a Corrupted Dungeon in Albion online. It would be a PvPvE dungeon done inside of an Oblivion gate like old school TES.....

I would have been thrilled to see alliance rank become account-wide. This would have majorly incentivized PvP, across the board, due to the associated skill points also becoming account-wide. But obviously that wouldn't be in keeping with their monetization of imbalance. Because when players change the class they're primarily playing (in this case, in PvP), to chase the new 'OP meta,' many will buy skill point unlocks from the shop (not to mention other boosts). But if those players already had access to a sizable pool of account-wide skill points, earned via alliance rank, maybe they would be less inclined to buy those skill point unlocks. So, even though account-wide alliance rank would further overall continuity, it would hurt ZOS's earnings.
No one I use to play with (alot of them played since launch) on this game is still playing, except me. Some have tried to come back but got frustrated with the constant nurfing and all the constant changes. I know its frustrating. But I still sit here and gobble up the scraps they throw from their table and hope for the best. 😭

I'm with you. I can't see singing ZOS's praises for simply giving BGs the reward structure it should have already had. It feels less like _"an exciting new thing"_ and more like _"it's about goddamned time!"_ Now, if they consistently add new BG styles periodically, that could certainly help. But why no PvP pets, mounts or even new emotes; even if those came in the form of tokens to be collected and eventually consumed to create said items? Imagine how incentivized competitive BGs would feel if maintaining a certain rank allowed you to collect such tokens towards an awesome rank-exclusive mount. That would have been great! But instead, make way for _'turning into a WW Behemoth whenever you pick up the chaos ball.'_ Uh, no thanks...
There is a lot wrong with the game that actually impacts me, but I am still glad to see that they finally fix the new player experience at least in regard to the main story and tutorial. It was very confusing for many new players and didn't make much sense before and I hope they drop players to the portal prison after they completed the soul shriven tutorial and maybe nudge - but not force - them to choose the portal that leads to the prophet for the main quest.

They need to increase the distance to incur fall damage and revamp the movement system with a bit more 'gravity'. They should also hire Treyarch to fix their aim system.
Surprised we haven't gotten a vid talking about the fact they decided to AI moderate all channels including the whispers. You cuss even in say chat in a solo instance, you can get autobanned. Who would've thought it was the rated M mmo developers who would big brother us to death.

Nightblade stealth changes are horrible. Makes shadowy disguise untenable for pvp and just destroys the class identity and playstyle. Sorcs can streak while spamming shields but easily exposable stealth can’t even be used without a severe penalty? What are they thinking?? I have 1000s of hours in the game, been playing years. Because this is such a deep undermining of a core class ability I might just quit if it goes live.
Well, fair enough, yet please consider how OP stealth is in current form. And how useless it is in pve, outside roleplay or thieving. Not to say this is feeling great, but I can see how OP nb stealth is. You could go invis in current form without drawbacks. What sucks is that in pvp most people will be also vampire, so there will be an increase in mag cost. But you will use this forward in time aswell, just more controlled. The change will be most noticeable if you wanna hide forever - which is not a classy class identity - is what I get from these notes. But I am also not a fan. Ganking is different from the tanky play, and it is kinda forcing NB to go out of stealth and join the rest. At least, that is some class identity that may go lost, because how poorly tuned pvp is overall. That said, it will be a viable to playstyle, with a bit more control behind it, and it will be interesting seeing the live version in last days of October. Follow this closely.
It's not overpowered in its current form. You can be pulled out of stealth by so many things. It's not even funny if you're having a hard time fighting someone who's using stealth. You just need to get better at the game and asking for nerves to a skill to help you overcome. It is never going to help you as a player. And I promise you you're just going to forever. Have something to complain about as to why you're losing if that's the case Mind you, I'm not trying to be offensive or talk c*** I'm just saying from personal experience. I'm a night blade main and I used to hate finding night blades when they would go in stealth all the time, but once you learn how to mitigate it. And navigate it, it's actually very easy to deal with. And one of the lesser evils in pvp@@theimaginationcafe8474
It is not easily exposable... the issue is that you can roll away out of mage light range and stay away for 10s and come back in. Stealth should be something you use to jump your target or as a fleeing tool. It shouldn't be a constant tool where you use in a fight as a sustain.

To be honest i wouldn't mind NB change but in game where skills dont work at all in pvp toggle abilities work even less. So... how am i supposed to control my resources in game where you have perma mag drain ability on you because game is trash tier and skills dont behave like they supposed to? IN other words WHY is it toggle and not ramping cost? One second tick cost 3240 mag + mag regen i missed(2.2k in my case) because skill didnt turn off when i wanted him to turn off. Not to mention now i have to double tap shadowy whenever i am out of combat and just want to gain stealth quickly and go into sneak mode. WHO TF DOES THIS CHANGES.
I think toggling it and keep it for 2 seconds is kinda better for me rather than I would click same button 2 secs later About your last 2 sentences maybe there is a bug which should be fixed
@@ewapiksrandeb3966 you dont understand my point. Pretend that you are out of combat and want to gain stealth. Current situation is you press shadowy and ctrl and thats it. Now you have to press shadowy than ctrl and than again shadowy to turn it off each time you want to gain quick stealth. So they made it easier to use it in combat(less cost) BUT waaaaaaay more annoying if you are using it out of combat. There is no way that is not annoying to you. Skill is more or less same in terms of power BUT 10 times more annoying to use.
This is what I was trying to mention. Because toggle abilities really don't work well during prime time pvp. The vampire skill used to get me killed all the time because of this now. I'm just not going to have any magic😂

Correct. Nightblade main here. How to explain. It deeply undermines the core class identity and playstyle that we’ve used for years. Just bricking the skill into a clunky toggle mechanic. Never been upset by eso changes before. I understand it’s part of the game. But this is so radical and gross an attack on the class indentity as we’ve played it for years that I’ll quit if it goes live.
@@Bridenbrad what longer cloaks? Regen is zero while cloaked. You can’t sustain longer cloaks. That’s the problem! We are severely nerfing actual cloak duration for “longer cloak per button press” which is a different thing and that actually results in shorter actual cloaks in a battle. Just a dumbing down no NBs asked for that results in worse practical outcome.
@@user-jk5um1om8l for a magblade it would result in a longer cloak duration. They are basically doing the same thing they did with the vampire frenzy buff, disabling one of your stats while it’s active to keep it from being too strong.

I can currently cloak semi permanently in imperial city without breaking stealth … zero regen means you’ll last 10, 15 seconds max before you’re mag checked and out of juice AND that’s before you even spend anything on heals and other life-sustaining abilities. Actually going on the attack in PvP? Forget about it. After engagement, you might not even have enough mag to fully escape the circumference of a detect pot.
I can't get over them rewarding like 1, 2 or 3 soulgems. Literally that's not a reward. I'm sure most people are stacked with soulgems. I can't give them away fast enough.
After spending over 4.5k hours playing eso I still enjoy comming back and watching your videos about updates to the game, it’s been over a year or two since I played and I just wanna let you know I’m better than ever friend. It always makes me feel like I made the right choice by quitting when I see they’re still buffing and nerfing shit in the game, it’s such a red flag when they gotta buff and nerf shit every month lol along with quality of life trash here and there. It’s just engagement farming at this point 10 years into the game and it’s actually downright embarrassing. I bet every armor set they release is still overpowered when it comes out only to get nerfed months later. I can’t believe people still spend money on this game. I’m sure the game still looks like dog shit also. I remember saying before I quit they needed to take down the game and remake/revamp their game engine and look how deep of a hole they’re in now. yes, zos has been trying to kill outnumbered pvp for years now because the bad players hate getting 1vx/2vx'd. Im honestly shocked that they actually nerfed nb and didnt cave to the 'casual' players who rely on it as a crutch
It's not a flat 40%, it's 40% of their crit resistance. Everyone starts with 20%, so at minimum, you'll reduce that by 40% aka -8% and earn 8%. If they have more, typically from Rallying Cry (20-25%) and Impen (6-14%), then that 8% can become around 20%. It's still strong, but it's not as strong as you're assuming it is.

Wait still you see a 35k nightblade with 2h coming at you and then going invisible because his skills are all stamina based and he’s running max magicka boon with full divines and you’re getting uppercutted from an invisible person until you die. Toggle means it doesn’t turn off during combat. Also it doesn’t say you can use skills while being invisible.
Im confused because I'm new to pvp in the game. First, will there be anymore 3 team matches? Second, can we still earn the current style pages or are they making new ones. And third, finally, what's a "Competitive Battleground", aren't they all competitive? It says wining a competitive bg has different rewards 🙄

This is the start of a golden age for assassin type characters. the nerf to stealth opens up the possibility for buffs to otther parts of nightblades' kit. Idk about battle passes and eliminating three team bgs, but it seems like things will be a bit more interesting for sure.

Ive mained a khajiit stamblade since the PC beta. I quit because they repeatedly nerfed the NB. I paid 30 bucks for content about 3 weeks ago, ceafted 2 new legendary sets, grinded out oakensoul ring, just to find out theyre nerfing the only ability that makes NB somewhat enjoyable despite its massive deficiencies. Fuck this.

The PvP rewards perfectly illustrate how ZOS are giving us less & less each year. We've gone from 4 dungeons, main chapter zone, dlc zone & new feature/system, to 2 dungeons, dlc sized zone & new feature/system. If they dont adjust prices accordingly next year i'm done & i'll be giving my cash to a developer more worthy of it.
Do you know that the dlc zone was always a part that they took away from the chapter just to "promise" something for the 4th quarter, 4 dungeons was also too much but yes it makes less sets for us technically. For everything else I don't know how we can complain, except for the crown store like always
There new setup is way better, I feel like people like you are just looking for something to be upset about. The change allows them to try new things instead of the same old tired zone and dungeons we got for years. I'm all for experimenting. The zone dlc was always bland, a basic story with easy overland mobs, that was cut from the chapter to sell you it back later, with nothing of value beyond story to do. The exceptions being any time they also created an arena like Blackrose Prison, Sanctum Asylum, and Vateshran.. that happened 3/7 times and didn't need a zone to happen (look at Infinite Archive). The first year they didn't do a zone, we got IA which is more complex than any of those 3 arena's whether you like it or not. This year, we got a BG rework with 7 new maps. The 2 missing dungeons, whatever. Seriously, there is like 50 dungeons at this point, many of the DLC ones everyone hates after awhile because it makes random normal dungeon farming LONG when you're running with a PUG. 2 a year is more than enough. Why do we need 100 dungeons in the first place? Lastly, the freed up time they spent on that content is easy to see from other areas like quality of life, this patches tutorial changes, bug fixing, etc. They also have more on their plate every year because they continue to support new chapter mechanics the subsequent updates. Aka, new antiquities (Greymoor), new tribute cards (High Isle), new companions (Blackwood), and new grimoires/scripts (Gold Road). Whatever comes next, they'll need more time for that too. If losing a useless zone and 2 dungeons means I get more cards, arenas, pvp, antiquities, companions, grimoires, and quality of life improvements, I'm all for it.
aside from the lame idea revamping old content for a supposed big pvp update, i think its also pretty lame that STILL they have not updated the reward system of the base game, older chapters, or harder/longer achievements.
PvP rewards are very bad compared to easier pve rewards that take less skill/time to complete. PVP content seems to cost the player to play vs reward them to play it like a lot of pve content. Adding lives to some BG matches will further emphasize the tank/healer play style. The MMR changes are nice though.
I'm really against the continuous "cheapening" of the items in the game. I've spent 400 millions to purchase the lost thesis and continuous attention on the market to find an occasion. For sure i will not be as invested as a collector in the future.
Why removing CC fron necros ability - idk. Necro does not have a native good CC for PvP, the totem is abysmal. Seems like they are forcing necros back to using bland general abilities and scribing for CC and the "warrior" class is back on the menu. This is just sad

That's the most unbalanced, flavor of the month, wizards running around with a axe on stamina build, unstable, pay for convenience, pvp ever in any mmo, wow has better pvp than eso, some mobile games have better pvp than eso, devs never cared for pvp. Too little too late to pretend to care. Only people playing eso nowadays is stay at home 50yo moms for the fantasy princess housing system, look elsewhere for pvp.

I never used meta and got along pretty well, didn't played anything else but pvp for nearly 3 years but shit became unplayable imo after the devs introduced more and more of the broken pvp-only sets. Adding procsets to counter those broken sets and later the addition of the arcanist made it even worse. There's no fun for me left in pvp

From what I read, capture the relic will still be in 8v8, just not 4v4. So still possible to get all achievements just more annoying 🤧

I'm with you. I can't see singing ZOS's praises for simply giving BGs the reward structure it should have already had. It feels less like _"an exciting new thing"_ and more like _"it's about goddamned time!"_ Now, if they consistently add new BG styles periodically, that could certainly help. But why no PvP pets, mounts or even new emotes; even if those came in the form of tokens to be collected and eventually consumed to create said items? Imagine how incentivized competitive BGs would feel if maintaining a certain rank allowed you to collect such tokens towards an awesome rank-exclusive mount. That would have been great! But instead, make way for _'turning into a WW Behemoth whenever you pick up the chaos ball.'_ Uh, no thanks...

There is a lot wrong with the game that actually impacts me, but I am still glad to see that they finally fix the new player experience at least in regard to the main story and tutorial.
It was very confusing for many new players and didn't make much sense before and I hope they drop players to the portal prison after they completed the soul shriven tutorial and maybe nudge - but not force - them to choose the portal that leads to the prophet for the main quest.

Nightblade stealth changes are horrible. Makes shadowy disguise untenable for pvp and just destroys the class identity and playstyle. Sorcs can streak while spamming shields but easily exposable stealth can’t even be used without a severe penalty? What are they thinking?? I have 1000s of hours in the game, been playing years. Because this is such a deep undermining of a core class ability I might just quit if it goes live.
Well, fair enough, yet please consider how OP stealth is in current form. And how useless it is in pve, outside roleplay or thieving. Not to say this is feeling great, but I can see how OP nb stealth is. You could go invis in current form without drawbacks. What sucks is that in pvp most people will be also vampire, so there will be an increase in mag cost. But you will use this forward in time aswell, just more controlled. The change will be most noticeable if you wanna hide forever - which is not a classy class identity - is what I get from these notes. But I am also not a fan. Ganking is different from the tanky play, and it is kinda forcing NB to go out of stealth and join the rest. At least, that is some class identity that may go lost, because how poorly tuned pvp is overall. That said, it will be a viable to playstyle, with a bit more control behind it, and it will be interesting seeing the live version in last days of October. Follow this closely.
It's not overpowered in its current form. You can be pulled out of stealth by so many things. It's not even funny if you're having a hard time fighting someone who's using stealth. You just need to get better at the game and asking for nerves to a skill to help you overcome. It is never going to help you as a player. And I promise you you're just going to forever. Have something to complain about as to why you're losing if that's the case
Mind you, I'm not trying to be offensive or talk c*** I'm just saying from personal experience. I'm a night blade main and I used to hate finding night blades when they would go in stealth all the time, but once you learn how to mitigate it. It is not easily exposable... the issue is that you can roll away out of mage light range and stay away for 10s and come back in.
Stealth should be something you use to jump your target or as a fleeing tool. It shouldn't be a constant tool where you use in a fight as a sustain.

To be honest i wouldn't mind NB change but in game where skills dont work at all in pvp toggle abilities work even less. So... how am i supposed to control my resources in game where you have perma mag drain ability on you because game is trash tier and skills dont behave like they supposed to? IN other words WHY is it toggle and not ramping cost? One second tick cost 3240 mag + mag regen i missed(2.2k in my case) because skill didnt turn off when i wanted him to turn off. Not to mention now i have to double tap shadowy whenever i am out of combat and just want to gain stealth quickly and go into sneak mode. WHO TF DOES THIS CHANGES.
I think toggling it and keep it for 2 seconds is kinda better for me rather than I would click same button 2 secs later

@@ewapiksrandeb3966 you dont understand my point. Pretend that you are out of combat and want to gain stealth. Current situation is you press shadowy and ctrl and thats it. Now you have to press shadowy than ctrl and than again shadowy to turn it off each time you want to gain quick stealth. So they made it easier to use it in combat(less cost) BUT waaaaaaay more annoying if you are using it out of combat. There is no way that is not annoying to you. Skill is more or less same in terms of power BUT 10 times more annoying to use.
This is what I was trying to mention. Because toggle abilities really don't work well during prime time pvp.
The vampire skill used to get me killed all the time because of this now. I'm just not going to have any magic😂

Correct. Nightblade main here. How to explain. It deeply undermines the core class identity and playstyle that we’ve used for years. Just bricking the skill into a clunky toggle mechanic. Never been upset by eso changes before. I understand it’s part of the game. But this is so radical and gross an attack on the class indentity as we’ve played it for years that I’ll quit if it goes live.
@@Bridenbrad what longer cloaks? Regen is zero while cloaked. You can’t sustain longer cloaks. That’s the problem! We are severely nerfing actual cloak duration for “longer cloak per button press” which is a different thing and that actually results in shorter actual cloaks in a battle. Just a dumbing down no NBs asked for that results in worse practical outcome.
@@user-jk5um1om8l for a magblade it would result in a longer cloak duration. They are basically doing the same thing they did with the vampire frenzy buff, disabling one of your stats while it’s active to keep it from being too strong.

I can currently cloak semi permanently in imperial city without breaking stealth … zero regen means you’ll last 10, 15 seconds max before you’re mag checked and out of juice AND that’s before you even spend anything on heals and other life-sustaining abilities. Actually going on the attack in PvP? Forget about it. After engagement, you might not even have enough mag to fully escape the circumference of a detect pot.
I can't get over them rewarding like 1, 2 or 3 soulgems. Literally that's not a reward. I'm sure most people are stacked with soulgems. I can't give them away fast enough.

After spending over 4.5k hours playing eso I still enjoy comming back and watching your videos about updates to the game, it’s been over a year or two since I played and I just wanna let you know I’m better than ever friend. It always makes me feel like I made the right choice by quitting when I see they’re still buffing and nerfing shit in the game, it’s such a red flag when they gotta buff and nerf shit every month lol along with quality of life trash here and there. It’s just engagement farming at this point 10 years into the game and it’s actually downright embarrassing. I bet every armor set they release is still overpowered when it comes out only to get nerfed months later. I can’t believe people still spend money on this game. I’m sure the game still looks like dog shit also. I remember saying before I quit they needed to take down the game and remake/revamp their game engine and look how deep of a hole they’re in now. The games never gonna change, they’re gonna keep farming Skyrim fans until they’re dead man. I actually can’t wait for the next Skyrim game to come out I’m willing to bet it will get trashed by reviewers like every other Bethesda game these days and hopefully then the wider population will finally wake up. Bethesda as a company hasn’t improved in years, it’s still just them releasing unfinished and un polished trash in the same old garbage game engine they’ve been using for a decade. Their company is the ultimate example of COASTING and doing the bare minimum to keep an audience engaged. yes, zos has been trying to kill outnumbered pvp for years now because the bad players hate getting 1vx/2vx'd. Im honestly shocked that they actually nerfed nb and didnt cave to the 'casual' players who rely on it as a crutch
It's not a flat 40%, it's 40% of their crit resistance. Everyone starts with 20%, so at minimum, you'll reduce that by 40% aka -8% and earn 8%. If they have more, typically from Rallying Cry (20-25%) and Impen (6-14%), then that 8% can become around 20%. It's still strong, but it's not as strong as you're assuming it is.

Wait still you see a 35k nightblade with 2h coming at you and then going invisible because his skills are all stamina based and he’s running max magicka boon with full divines and you’re getting uppercutted from an invisible person until you die. Toggle means it doesn’t turn off during combat. Also it doesn’t say you can use skills while being invisible.

This is the start of a golden age for assassin type characters. the nerf to stealth opens up the possibility for buffs to otther parts of nightblades' kit. Idk about battle passes and eliminating three team bgs, but it seems like things will be a bit more interesting for sure.
i might suggest adding the buff and effect from mark morph (the red lightning one) to a passive or something as a start.

Ive mained a khajiit stamblade since the PC beta. I quit because they repeatedly nerfed the NB. I paid 30 bucks for content about 3 weeks ago, ceafted 2 new legendary sets, grinded out oakensoul ring, just to find out theyre nerfing the only ability that makes NB somewhat enjoyable despite its massive deficiencies. Fuck this.

The PvP rewards perfectly illustrate how ZOS are giving us less & less each year. We've gone from 4 dungeons, main chapter zone, dlc zone & new feature/system,
to 2 dungeons, dlc sized zone & new feature/system.
If they dont adjust prices accordingly next year i'm done & i'll be giving my cash to a developer more worthy of it.

Do you know that the dlc zone was always a part that they took away from the chapter just to "promise" something for the 4th quarter, 4 dungeons was also too much but yes it makes less sets for us technically. For everything else I don't know how we can complain, except for the crown store like always
Which developer are you looking at, what game or games have your interest?
There new setup is way better, I feel like people like you are just looking for something to be upset about. The change allows them to try new things instead of the same old tired zone and dungeons we got for years. I'm all for experimenting. The zone dlc was always bland, a basic story with easy overland mobs, that was cut from the chapter to sell you it back later, with nothing of value beyond story to do. The exceptions being any time they also created an arena like Blackrose Prison, Sanctum Asylum, and Vateshran.. that happened 3/7 times and didn't need a zone to happen (look at Infinite Archive). The first year they didn't do a zone, we got IA which is more complex than any of those 3 arena's whether you like it or not. This year, we got a BG rework with 7 new maps.
The 2 missing dungeons, whatever. Seriously, there is like 50 dungeons at this point, many of the DLC ones everyone hates after awhile because it makes random normal dungeon farming LONG when you're running with a PUG. 2 a year is more than enough. Why do we need 100 dungeons in the first place?
Lastly, the freed up time they spent on that content is easy to see from other areas like quality of life, this patches tutorial changes, bug fixing, etc. They also have more on their plate every year because they continue to support new chapter mechanics the subsequent updates. Aka, new antiquities (Greymoor), new tribute cards (High Isle), new companions (Blackwood), and new grimoires/scripts (Gold Road). Whatever comes next, they'll need more time for that too.
If losing a useless zone and 2 dungeons means I get more cards, arenas, pvp, antiquities, companions, grimoires, and quality of life improvements, I'm all for it.

aside from the lame idea revamping old content for a supposed big pvp update, i think its also pretty lame that STILL they have not updated the reward system of the base game, older chapters, or harder/longer achievements.
Your question, my answer: No.
PvP rewards are very bad compared to easier pve rewards that take less skill/time to complete. PVP content seems to cost the player to play vs reward them to play it like a lot of pve content. Adding lives to some BG matches will further emphasize the tank/healer play style. The MMR changes are nice though.
I don't like this update solely because they're removing 1v2, 3 versus has always been unique and a hallmark of eso design

That's the most unbalanced, flavor of the month, wizards running around with a axe on stamina build, unstable, pay for convenience, pvp ever in any mmo, wow has better pvp than eso, some mobile games have better pvp than eso, devs never cared for pvp. Too little too late to pretend to care.
Only people playing eso nowadays is stay at home 50yo moms for the fantasy princess housing system, look elsewhere for pvp.

I never used meta and got along pretty well, didn't played anything else but pvp for nearly 3 years but shit became unplayable imo after the devs introduced more and more of the broken pvp-only sets. Adding procsets to counter those broken sets and later the addition of the arcanist made it even worse.
