Fun fact. The village just on the left at 12:30 is home to a 2500 year old olive tree!.
The Greek equivalent to Kai Tak, except someone's shed is the checkerboard LOL
Some poor village with a 737 zooming over at 1,100 ft and a shed at 400 ft!! If the shed is demolished, Olympic Airways is screwed😳
hopefully the owner of the white shed doesn't paint it green any time soon
You have to do this to avoid Turkish air space - Turkey is just a few miles to the left on the initial approach - the planes then turn right to the village and then right on the shed
now do it in a 747 :)
Matt; BRILLIANT videos, really enjoy them all the time every time. You're a good tutor and good natured bloke. Saw you're Twitch live cast today, it was Fantastic but I wasn't happy about you not using checklists and being I'll prepared for the flight ( no charts at hand before the flight). Besides these 2 low afore mentioned points you're a great knowledgeable Sim pilot that one day might actually make it into a real cockpit. Keep up the good work Matt and we will follow. THANKS MATE.

Hi Matt, Good Job. Couple of points that might help you out, without hating! Circling should be done Gear Down Flaps 15. Minima at Samos for a 737 should be 1880'. Also if you want to fly 359 course thats what should be in your course window as 179 will reverse your to/from indications and deviation bar should you select VOR mode on the Nd. Go have some fun flying Rwy 22 approaches at nice. Should be able to get some decent eye candy for the Cote d'Azur. Cheers

Matt here in brazil there is an airport very dangerous. You should try to land there, it's called Santos Dumont (SBRJ), in Rio de Janeiro . Take a look ;D

Try LECO (A Coruña) RWY 04 with a good resolution mesh for Spain, LOD 11 (19 meters) or better.

Fantastically done dude! But you should touch down a little harder on such short runways and I would have used Flaps 40 but none of this makes a too big difference. Thanks for entertaining me!

Hi Matt, can you provide a link to the freeware scenery used? I like flying around the Greek islands but the default scenery and terrain sucks and I can't find anything decent for the whole of Greece (I have got my eyes on Skiathos X but that's literally one small airport and that's it).
So you didn't buy any addons for the environment/ ground/ background but all through freeware?

Its a complex boeing 737 addon, you can google it - PMDG 737 NGX, but its pretty expensive tho

***** Just based off the facts. Matt here has over 50k. I don't see any of your experience with a flight sim. Second, I am a real pilot with an instrument rating.
***** Also, you do use reverse thrust at 60KT because it's toncontin. The last runway incursion disaster resulted in a lot of lives being lost. Toncontin is one of those exceptions where you get the plane to stop at all costs.
