Solo Trip to MILAN 2022 (low budget!)

I stayed 2 nights in Milan February 2022 with a day trip to Verona. I needed a green covid pass pretty much everywhere I went including on public transport.
Everything I did here was free except the food and transport obviously but I went for cheap options!
For extra fees you can do things like go to the top of the cathedral/duomo (€14), go inside the Verona arena, I just didn’t have the budget this time!
Hostel was Ostello Bello Grande in Milan Centrale
I would 1000% recommend it

Did you walk or get public transport from the hostel to the centre/Duomo? I’m staying at the same hostel soon and I’m not sure on how to navigate the city. ☺️

I got public transport because the train station is a 2 minute walk away from the hostel, but loads of people I met walked there easily, they said it took them around 30-40 mins x

Hi just asking! Ive read a lot theres a lot of scammers at tourist spots and they can be agressive. Did you run into them and how did you deal with it? Especially as solo traveller

Hi :) I didn’t run into any but I was quite careful as I heard the same. I made sure not to be out late on my own and if I got a bad gut feeling about anywhere I would leave quickly. It helped making friends at my hostel and doing things with them!

I ran into some in Rome but just wouldn’t even give them any attention just walk straight past, if you accidentally make eye contact or anything just keep saying no thank you etc and walk on

Nope I didn’t have to wear a mask outside or in outdoor public spaces, only inside busy places, public transport & shops :)
