Solo Trip to MILAN 2022 (low budget!)
Переглядів 3,7 тис.2 роки тому
I stayed 2 nights in Milan February 2022 with a day trip to Verona. I needed a green covid pass pretty much everywhere I went including on public transport. Everything I did here was free except the food and transport obviously but I went for cheap options! For extra fees you can do things like go to the top of the cathedral/duomo (€14), go inside the Verona arena, I just didn’t have the budget...

It's safe?? I'm planning to travel alone too
So informative, you are also very beautiful!
Hi just asking! Ive read a lot theres a lot of scammers at tourist spots and they can be agressive. Did you run into them and how did you deal with it? Especially as solo traveller
Hi :) I didn’t run into any but I was quite careful as I heard the same. I made sure not to be out late on my own and if I got a bad gut feeling about anywhere I would leave quickly. It helped making friends at my hostel and doing things with them!
I ran into some in Rome but just wouldn’t even give them any attention just walk straight past, if you accidentally make eye contact or anything just keep saying no thank you etc and walk on
hey Carenza really enjoyed the video, a bit disappointed that you stopped making them either way i found it realy informative. I've got a questions that i hope you can help me with 1. how much free time do you get a day/week 2. how much did you get paid 3. what are the common expenses to expect as a holiday rep 4. how long was your contract for 5. where did you go to apply 6. any beneficial skills or qualifications that will increase my chances of getting hired 7. do i have to pay for accommodation and flights 8. And FINALY!!!! was it actually worth it.
Hello What's hostel name?
Ostello Bello Grande
Hiya what questions were on the digital assessment and what did you come up with for the group part of the interview xx
Hi :) honestly I can’t remember the digital assessment at all i know it was quite informal and not difficult. For the group thing I just sang ‘5 speckled frogs’ in an animated way as if the people on the call were kids! Some people dressed up or had props but I didn’t use anything
Is it easy to rent a card for the day and go into town?
yes I lived near 2/3 rental places, we would often rent a car or a quad bike and go exploring. it's just as easy to get the bus as well
I’m going solo in Rome in July and I’m so grateful for this content because I needed the encouragement, I was getting a bit anxious. Thank you! 💖
@NadaAlawadhi How was your trip?
@@batidadekoko7608 amazing! Best experience in my life 🙂 It was all good and safe and everything was amazing and people are great and friendly there.
When u doing more day in the life
hi, I'm thinking of doing this and how strict are they with the no piercings thing haha. I have my level 3 but would prefer to work with in the kids club and how long are the days, Is it around 40 hours a week. the thing I would be most scared of is flying out on my own and making friends but I'm sure once your there its pretty easy to make friends xx
hey, definitely apply and try it ! they were strict with piercings, I have loads in each ear I would take them out every single morning, the managers at my placement would check your jewellery most days (anklets, bracelets, literally everything). yeh they always need level 3's in the kids club too as there always has to be at least1 person with a level 3 to run a session. yep 40 hours a week but the shifts are broken up and quite short tbh. and yeah you're right you're literally forced to all be friends as you're all in the same position and living/working together so don't worry about that x
actually at my placement not every week was 40hours, some was 36/37 just depended on the rota
Really good video. I'm planning to go to Rome alone in a few weeks, this was really helpful
Do you still work for TUI?
Hey! No, I did one season last summer :)
Great video!
Did you use that mirror?
Yes I did I looked flawless didn’t i?🥰
@@CarenzaJeanie well I didn't see ..I just hope you weren't wearing a mask 😷
Hi may i know how much is the hostel per day thanks
I paid £36 for 2 nights :)
Hey sorry if I missed this simple fact but I'm wondering what month you were in Rome? I'm going alone in March.
I went at the end of February 2022. Have fun!!
Loved this video, so informative! 🥰❤️
Hi, I have my interview next week for a baby club rep! Any tips for the interview? They’ve asked me to prep a song/book activity and present it in the same way I would for the children/babies! I have a few ideas but any tips would be appreciated xx
hey, Yayy that’s exciting!! Well I would just say go into it with confidence even if you’re not feeling it you can fake it! Don’t over think it either, just act how you would with babies/kids anyway. For my interview all I did was sing ‘5 speckled frogs’ with no props or costume. But some of the others properly dressed up and had props! Whatever you do will be fine I’m sure as long as you’re smiley and acting confident
Also you have a group part when you come up with something as a group and then present it so make sure you give ideas, don’t be quiet during this part. I had a notebook to write down the key notes so I was the one to present it after :)
@@CarenzaJeanie thank you so much! I was actually thinking before of doing 5 speckled frogs or old McDonald so that’s definitely made me feel better and I didn’t know about the group work so thank you for that, so helpful just knowing what I’m going in too! Xxx
@@anyarobson1559 how did it go did you get hired , if so please can you help me with these questions 1. how much free time do you get a day/week 2. how much did you get paid 3. what are the common expenses to expect as a holiday rep 4. how long was your contract for 5. where did you go to apply 6. any beneficial skills or qualifications that will increase my chances of getting hired 7. do i have to pay for accommodation and flights 8. HI! Do you have a child qualification and if so what is the course called coz I would like to do this but need the qualifications first xx
To work in the kids club you don’t need any childcare qualifications or even any experience! For baby club you need Level 3 childcare
@@CarenzaJeanie ah right coz I applied for it for next year but didn't get it coz they said I didn't have the qualifications. so iv asked them to reconsider as I'm now doing a NCFE CACHE Level 3 award in childcare and education and also a paediatric first aid course. They have asked about the course but hopefully they get back to me soon over it 🤞x
@@taylamoon7133 if you applied for baby club then yes you need qualifications:)
Very helpful and entertaining, really enjoyed it
Hello , how did you get from airport to hotel
I came by train from Milan (I was staying there before venice) then walked from train station
I feel like we’d be really good travel buddies 😂
Well done you traveling solo.Best of luck with your future adventures.
Venice is beautiful! But wow too many people that time, thanks for sharing all of this. I loved traveling and I thought I might share the best carry-on bag I have been using for a long time now and recommend it to you. It is a bento bag from Nomad Lane. It is the most trusty, functional, and easy-to-carry bag. I have been traveling for work mostly and it is the best bag ever.❤🥰
Hi Carenza I really loved your vlog you are so funny and pretty !haha I will visit Venice at the end of the month I will get the nutella pastries you tried !
I love the travel tips, looking into traveling solo soon as well and this is very helpful! I always think that travels are made easier when you have the best travel gears and essentials too. The bento bag from Nomad Lane is my best carry-on bag for dream vacation destination like Rome. Though I'd share it to you guys too!
Did you book your accommodations ahead of time or after you arrived in Italy?
Ahead of time :)

Greetings! friend.enjoyed, superb - )
You don't need makeup
How did you plan everything for your trips?
Hey sorry for the late reply! I basically used google and friends/family recommendations to plan what I wanted to do then I wrote out a rough itinerary in my note book of what I wanted to do each day. A lot of it I just made up as I went along though as I love exploring places on foot and finding things out for myself :)
Just got back from Rome myself last week and had an amazing time.
I miss you 🌹🌹
hotel recommendations or the one you stay in Rome, please...
I stayed at Residenza Bourbon (very good location and I was able to walk to everywhere I wanted from there)
Heading solo to Rome in September!!
