But his voice contains really strong of fresh, energetic, deep, soulful, and a lot more. Omg i can't really interpret how rare his voice is. His tone voice is really different from others ballad singer.

I always ending up finding my bias in the overlooked but incredible singers in groups. My ult is SHINee’s Onew, and Seokmin gives me his vibes in a way. Easily overlooked in a group, but if you ARE looking at him, he’s hysterical. Plus, vocals that is literally the voice of the gods. The amount of debt I would go into to hear a Seokmin/Onew duet is astronomical
dk was already good at singing, but ever since he was cast for the Xcalibur musical, his singing technique improved so much..... musical theater and its rigorous singing standards had a good effect on dokyeom's voice

What you said in this video when he was singing rewind on how he could find melody easily was so accurate. I’ve noticed this about DK and he seems to have an innate sense of music where he could find a nice melody quite easily. First exhibit is the rewind video. Second time is when he was singing to a Chinese song Jun was playing and he somehow sang the correct melody, like what? And third when they were doing the GoSe intro, you can see that DK contributed to a lot to the melody making of both the opening and ending. Not to mention he also made the point choreo too. What I want to say is DK talented.
yeah i agree!! you listed really good examples as well. him coming up with the melody for the opening of gose SO spontaneously, yet it matched the instrumentals so well. idk if it's just me, but i think he has potential in composing (mostly in writing the melody line) bc from what we've seen, dk can come up with CATCHY melodies pretty much instantly

I was downright horrified. His voice is my favorite l had ever heard. And his personality did not match. He is the greatest treasure. The way he says he likes pizza before saying hi my name is dokyeom. Literally takes my breath away in so many ways; in every way, there is no one like him. All SVT, their music, Carat, just the whole experience is like that, down to their kind and good attitudes. So not only is his voice my favorite in the world so is his personality my type. The biggest bias killer in the world. Probably my bias but I onlu became a Carat starting today, although i knew about them since seventeen tv and project (i really liked nuest, too). I kind of got out of my kpop obsession for years but others who had also gotten out of kpop BECAME Carat and now I couldnt hold out any longer and not be a Carat. Seventeen is such an important, wonderful group.

It still hurts me to remember what was said to him before in Seventeen Project. That he didn't "sound" like a main vocalist. My heart clenches everytime but when I hear how he has improved I am somehow so proud of him on not only how he grew as a vocalist but also face such obstacles and overcome them in order to improve. 🥺❤️😭

I literally ugly-cried, cuz i saw seventeen project last. I know how dk sounds now, but when i saw SP, I was blown away (he became my bias then), the hard work and dedication he put to come this far inspires me.
Just to add, in 2019, that's when he started his musical so it is expected that he is really tired as SVT had a lot of promotions that time, and even preparing for Ode to you, and yet he was still able to fill in Seungkwan's lines in KCON and was able to perform LIVE.

People don’t know this much but DK is half deaf in his left ear (not born with it, he had to get surgery because of an infection and that left him partially deaf in the left ear) and you’ll notice him often take out the left ear piece, it not being fully in or completely hanging around his neck. Sometimes he takes it out mid performance, especially for his parts. Ever since I found about this, I can never help but always notice the left ear piece and be more amazed at how this man mastered his vocals further with something like that happening. He’s such a ball of sunshine too. This man deserves so much more!
I love when the members just stare at him when he sings ❤️ they see him and listen to him everyday but he still leaves them awestruck sometimes. Also when they tell him to “do the thing, sing the thing” for harmonies and high notes 😂

What a vocal stunner DK is to be honest, it's so crazy how I don't hear enough of people boasting about his voice. Like I can't even explain it, not only his voice sound good, he uses different kind of techniques that I don't see enough and his voice is so clear? It's like he can make his voice louder without stressing his throat too much? I experienced a few months of vocal lessons for fun before, and some singers like my teacher are always able to make their voice so clear and loud without it looking hard, and to be honest I don't see that a lot in kpop so seeing DK doing it just amazed me so much :'))

I am always picky when it comes to KPOP group to stan. I always listen to their main vocalists first and they always end up being my biases (like Chen of EXO and Taeil of NCT). I don't know why I'm like that though haha. The first time I heard DK, that's the time I said to my mind, "Okay, I'm gonna stan the group where he belongs." And until now, he is my bias in SVT. When he sings, he's like talking to my soul. Only a few singers can make me feel that way.
For me, it's the super eye catching main dancers like Hyunjin, Momo, Hoshi and Niki DK didn't catch my eye at first but I fell in love with his vocals(he's a rare gem) and now he's my second bias

am i the only one who is obsessed with dk making up lyrics to random melodies literally spontaneous? like i remember that one episode where they were in the process of creating the logo song for going seventeen and the christmas going seventeen little segment where they have to sing a song with a word that was given to them and dk was creating random songs with jeonghan. i adore how forward dokyeom is when approaching high notes or just any notes. he's courageous and not really holding back when he's attempting any of it prompting for a really good and clear sound. i love how bright his voice is and it stands out with its own unique quality. there is also a hint of classical technique when he's doing belts and it just sounds wonderful. i hope his abilities and prowess to singing are going to prevail among the public because he deserves such recognition along with seungkwan. they both are exceptionally good vocalists of kpop.
He’s literally one of the best vocalists in Kpop (maybe the best of third and fourth gen with some of the exo guys) and also one of the most underrated and is so sad

I am always picky when it comes to KPOP group to stan. I always listen to their main vocalists first and they always end up being my biases (like Chen of EXO and Taeil of NCT). I don't know why I'm like that though haha. The first time I heard DK, that's the time I said to my mind, "Okay, I'm gonna stan the group where he belongs." And until now, he is my bias in SVT. When he sings, he's like talking to my soul. Only a few singers can make me feel that way.
For me, it's the super eye catching main dancers like Hyunjin, Momo, Hoshi and Niki
DK didn't catch my eye at first but I fell in love with his vocals(he's a rare gem) and now he's my second bias
