Nice video , certainly looks a lovely ship. It's certainly sad that Oceana is now leaving / has left the P&O fleet. I was lucky enough to see and film her leaving the Tyne a few days ago. As a child, I actually liked the Canberra, another P&O ship, with her all-white hull and twin yellow funnels.
The atrium on this ship is stunning. Our cabin was nice too and the service on board was excellent. The ship does seem to attract the more mature though. There wasn't a good mix of age groups when we sailed on Oceana and because all of the entertainment seemed to be aimed towards the older generation, we did get bored. We spent a lot of time in the Gym, which was very empty and on the stern deck which gave us both a great tan.
Brings back a lot of memories. Was on holiday on the Oceana in 2010 in the E deck cabins I think, absolutely amazing experience. Still hope to go back one year!
Sailed on this ship april 2008 from Southampton to spain portugal and france. Beautiful ship and even got to experence the bay of biscay during a force 10 which was quite scare lol.
I can remember Starlights and the Footlights Theatre very well. While we were on board they had a song and dance group called HEADLINERS and they went down a storm attracting a full house each time. Those seats with a little round table were so tight to get past and at the muster drill the female officer who spoke to us was from the West Country and she had a real strong accent and she was quite funny with it.

I was on that ship.when new and exes sister sang and danced lead on the ship.She was on it the first time it ever crossed into Southhampton.The food was superb so.pretty sad to hear it has gone downhill.Then it was west end entertainers,very luxurious so sad to hear it has gone downhill..i lovrd it
we used to like this ship. it's now time to sell it to saga. they buy all the crap. just returned from xmas cruise around the canaries. disgusting food, processed, frozen, tinned muck! crap entertainment. one magician once, one comedian, and lousy shows with people who couldn't sing. it was dreadful. third and last time with p and o. we now know what p nd o stands for. PONG AND ODOR. everytime you went back inside from promenade deck, or anywhere outside, the smell of sewage hit you. there were dead flies laying about on top deck the entire cruise. rust everywhere, and whats worse, the lifeboats wernt able to be launched. they were working on them all the cruise. scary or what? ABSOLUTLY DISGUSTING AND DISSAPOINTING. threw £3000 away on this crap holiday.....NEVER AGAIN
Oh im shocked by that, granted the ship looks very dated now compared to newer liners for obvious reasons but ive never had a problem with the food or shows.
We went round the Med last December on the Oceana - had a fabulous cruise, food, entertainment Ship, the furniture in the Yacht & Compass was looking a bit tired, but the group in there was great - we danced the night away every evening, I love the Atrium, it was all decked out for Christmas it looked fabulous, On November 8th, we will be back on board for 12 days - can't wait!

Its been 11 years since i was on this ship, i was 16. Was one of the best holidays of my life (so far) made so any friends!
It's still a lovely ship, try it again some time.

It only takes one cruise to hook on to you. We tried a 2 day mini cruise and we were hooked.

Crap boat, crap cruise line unless you're about 86 and like ballroom dancing.
