Having purchased fake Dainese gloves by mistake I realized there was no good video raising awareness of how counterfeit Dainese gear is peddled and sold as the real deal.. Luckily I managed to sort out the issue and purchase the same gloves in original...

Real safety gear is very important to have especially when that crash happens and you know your protected for a few seconds that really matters.

I have a genuine Dainese Airfast leather jacket which I had to return twice because of loose stitching. It was purchased from a reputable motorcycle gear store in Australia. While I waited for them to repair/replace it, I bought a cheap old 3rd-hand Dainese leather jacket which I still use quite often. The new Airfast jacket was repaired but eventually I had to take it to a tailor to fix stitching which started coming undone on the sleeve near the buckle. Otherwise it's good Italian leather and good design. Just poor quality control on a few bits of stitching. Maybe I'm unlucky but I also had an issue with their Smart Jacket airbag vest. While it wasn't a direct safety issue, the air canister holders which are secured by velcro had the adhesive back of the velcro keep peeling off. A bit disconcerting for some safety gear which is meant to save your life in the event of a severe crash (and costs over AUD$1000 at the time). So I ended up getting an Alpinestars Tech-Air 5 airbag vest instead.

I did not have the fake gloves any longer when the original ones came in... I had raised dispute on ebay and returned the fake gloves for a refund
