Looks great reminds me of the wild colors Big Daddy Ed Royh came up with. 👍👍👍

The first 1 for me. But I really think the Camara takes a lot away from all of these colors. I do how ever enjoy these test sprays. Keep em coming!

Gold turned out beautiful even with the flake not showing through.

I think more flake, or bigger flake with that color shift Pearl over the gold would be really cool. This definitely has potential. Maybe do the pearls first, then shoot flake over the top

Cool outcome in 1971 l bought a 1969 Chevelle Malibu with a HP 350 and. Posi. 4 Speed , It had a new greasy green paint job and looked great well some of the paint started to come off on the hood it got worse so l peeled a solid piece the size of over half the hood off the original color was a type of gold with white pin stripes you could see that original paint was sanded so l could peel all the paint off also in giant strips l was wondering what went wrong ? Thanks again

The paints started peeling because they didn't bond properly for whatever reason usually not letting the paint dry enough before applying the next one most ppl call it delamination.

I didn't see the colorshift so much but it sure took that brassy edge off that Rustoleum gold and made a nice color out of it. The end results with it behind you in the shop the color is really close to the Metallic Sand on my 1990 Dodge D150. Cool, I like it.

A 3.5 for me. Good video I'm just on the fence about drastic color shift. Tend to like pearls that enhance or compliment the base colors.

I would give it a 4 . I know the give away is coming soon . As a senior of 72 I could use a Vevor spray gun . Planning to use it on the car I am restoring but on very limited budget .

It's a 3-4 for me, the flake was disappointing but the colourshift did take on a nice bronze effect.

Hey Whitley, I’ve been watching your videos, and they’re awesome-really appreciate all the great tips! Quick question: I’m working on a metallic paint job, but it feels a bit rough to the touch. Is it okay to wet sand metallic paint to smooth it out, or should I be cautious about affecting the finish? Would love your advice on this. Thanks again for the amazing content!

If you plan on applying clear coat I wouldn't worry about that naturally metallic paint especially if it's spray can will have a little bit of a rough finish. In most cases you can wet sand it and polish it and it not mess up the finish if you have enough coats on it but really just depends on what type of metallic paint it is let me know if you have any other questions Thanks for watching

Not a gold guy 4.5 but definitely could do different spray outs with it and blues to purple color shift I think be interesting

The pearl really toned down the gold base coat. For me, it's a 3

3 coats of pearl would be nice to see. Leave out the flakes.

I’m not sure if it was a reaction or what, but that black showed up… or was that where it dropped?
    I really enjoy the color.

    • @WHITLEYAUTOWORKS
      @WHITLEYAUTOWORKS  5 місяців тому +1

Yeah if you look at it really close there's a bunch of scratch areas where the black got scratched down to and there's a few little pieces of trash on it too kind of sucked but hey it is what it is it happens sometimes no need to hide it made for a more interesting episode LOL

@@WHITLEYAUTOWORKS even while it’s still on the wall, I still saw some black flakes, I’m not sure if that’s the metal flakes or not… I would like to see the effect without the metal flake and see if it’s different. That turned out surprisingly good overall
