Greetings from Australia 🇦🇺 I’m subscribed to your channel because I can’t get over what amazing karate you do. I’m currently at Green Belt, and learning Bassai-Dai, and this video really helped me improve!
@@ashleighwithers4193 oh! Maybe? What region. I’m in Manchester so fall under north midlands? I don’t know but Sheffield, Leeds, Newcastle, Manchester of course. Edit: wait region is region 2, the regional zone we fall under the north midlands. 😂
Hi! I’m JJ and I’m 3rd Dan. Your Bassai-Dai is looking great! I have a tip- when doing inside and outside blocks, you want to use your hips to get the power. This is what instructors are looking for in the kata. If you utilise the hips, your kata will be cleaner. You are doing great and saw that you got 1st Dan. Congratulations you’re very talented.
Hi! I'm also learning Bassai-Dai and Your Kata looks so good. I just graded to Blue Belt about a week ago so I now have to learn it and this video is so good to learn off if you slow it down in settings. THX
Well done kata, looks quite similar to the shotokan one even thou it isn’t but still, well performed kata. I’ve also seen a few of your other videos and I gotta say, your really good
Greetings, im currently a 1st dan going to 2nd at the end of the year. Just wanted to say your kata looks really good, keep up the good work. It only gets more fun when you get up to the higher belt katas
@@oliverloake6103 In Shotokan there are some minor differences. Shotokan starts with hands downwards (Jion would start like this), turning left (fifth technique) would reach out in other way and so on. There is an old video von Kanazawa doing bassai dai, you will see the differences.
Hey from Britan! I’m an orange belt and I know saifa fully. I’m trying to learn bassai dai to get ahead and really work on it till I need to use it in grading

@@EmilyHarvey sepai is a fun kata, but personally my favourite atm is kururunfa
@@maccawifri cant wait to learn kururunfa it looks very complicated lol
@@EmilyHarvey it's a bit complicated at some parts but it gets easier when you do it

@@SavageSkull131 I believe it depends on the club to be honest. Most variations do have the hands low yes
Its Go Kan Ryu style, a mix of Shotokan and Goju Ryu
