Doctors Hate This One Weird Gene Mutation (and So Do I)

Documenting the start of my previvor journey! I made this video for other people who have BRACA mutations. I hope documenting my journey will help make things less scary for anyone else going through the same thing. This is a scary thing to go through, but we're not alone.
Note - i misspoke a little there when talking about medical racism - i meant to say Black Maternal Mortality. The stats are very concerning, in America there is a 2-3x higher mortality rate for black mothers versus white mothers. And this isn't the only place black and brown people are worse affected in the medical field, it's just a startling statistic that's making headlines right now. We need free healthcare for all, antiracist training for medical experts, and perhaps most importantly, incentives and affirmative action to get black and brown people into the medical field as experts themselves.
