I'vne always thought it was weird that people always think doomguy would play like a slow zoner if he was brought into a fighting game when his hand-to-hand and weapons like the chainsaw, crucible and hammer from the dlc hint at this being a way cool idea. Turn those punches into blood punches and give him a short range super shotgun blast instead of this move (0:58) and the creator could probably sell it
Honestly the best way to implement would probably give him powerful projectiles and ranged attacks but with extremely limited ammo which could only be refilled with a chainsaw combo-ending special

I think it's actually '16 that implies that rather than Eternal. There's enough wrong with Eternal's lore that I think there's a decent case for it not being canon with '16.
@ Clean hit HVV does an absolutely monstrous amount of damage so pretty much all Sol combos have the goal "land clean hit HVV" and if you can do it twice, it's just better.

Okay I know everyone's talking about how the helmet coming off is a downgrade honestly to me it's not also if you look real closely I don't know if this coincidental or on accident but when he does the animation it looks like he's tearing off the helmet I just thought that was badass

That was the tricky part when making it. Turns out having the helmet weighted to the same bone as Sol's headband does that trick.
