Welcome to Standing Stone Kennels! Heeling is the foundation to obedience work and ultimately can make or break the overall relationship between you and your dog. One of the biggest things to look at with heeling is the proper heeling position. It takes time for a dog to learn this and how to actually get themselves in that position. Follow along as we teach Thunder proper heeling position with the utilization of positive reinforcement!

Another great video. I think I may have said this before but the best thing watching Ethan train the dogs is watching the adaptation when things are not going quite as well as the trainer might hope. Great patience and calmness shown here to start heading towards the desired for result. Thanks.

The stonnie Dennis technique you’re talking about is amazing. You kept moving around instead of pivoting in place. I draw a square because it works best for my brain but others like to use a circle to help pivot in place. Also you didn’t stick to it and went back to your usual swing to heel method. Was fun watching you use a new technique that you are not used to.

I wonder about adding a full spinin the ''corect'' direction to sement the direction and then link it to your body movement...?

Thunder must get that from his dad. My Boomer (Honor Point dog from Aero x Walker) acts JUST like him right now. Lost of desire to work, Lots of desire to get distracted on heel too.

Not sure of the purpose of the clicker? You probably have a video for it's use. I will check but your response will be nice.
